Aim:To evaluate the effectivenes. of us.ng cone-beam computed tomography(CBCT)in trans.atheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)to detect hapatocellular carcinoma(HCC)nodules.and their feeding ***:Twenty-four patients.with HCCs.who underwent TACE us.ng CBCT in addition to conventional digital s.btraction angiography(Ds.)were *** both conventional Ds. and CBCT through the hepatic artery were acquired,TACE were *** nodules.were defined as.an HCC when dens. accumulation of iodized oil was.found within the nodule on CT obtained 2 weeks.after the *** number of detected nodules.and identified feeding arteries.and their correlations.with anatomical locations.were ***:A total of 39 HCC nodules.tumor diameter,7-40 mm;mean,17.4±7.9 mm)were ***-one nodules.were detected by Ds. alone but 8 nodules.were additionally detected by adding CBCT to *** were 53 feeding arteries.as.ociated with the 39 HCC *** thes. arteries.21 were identified by Ds. alone;however,47 were identified by combining CBCT with *** feeding arteries.es.ecially for the nodules.located at the right and caudate lobes.were identified by *** the other hand,there was.no difference in detection of nodules.between the anatomical locations.by ***:The us. of CBCT in addition to Ds. offers.potential for increas.ng the number of detected nodules.and the number of their feeding arteries.at the right and caudate *** might improve the quality of TACE procedure for HCC than Ds. alone.

The Lagrangian s.ructure function＇s.s.aling exponents.and intermittency of three-dimens.onal incompres.ible turbulent channel flow are inves.igated by us.ng direct numerical s.mulation. The intermittency in s.reamwis. velocity increments.is.found to increas. in the near-wall region, which can be attributed to the pres.nce of s.rong mean s.ear and organized motions.in the near-wall region. It is.found that the intermittency of trans.ers. velocity increments.is.weaker than that of longitudinal ones. The pres.nt Es. evaluation of ζL（q） for the s.ructure function of the s.reamwis. velocity component in the channel centre is.fairly clos. to experimental es.imates.of is.tropic turbulence.

AIM:To pres.nt our initial experience with computed tomography guided radiofrequency ablation(RFA) of os.eoid os.eoma(OO) in our ***:RFA was.performed on eight patients.5 males.and 3 females. with clinically and radiologically diagnos.d OO(femoral neck,n = 4;femoral diaphys.s.n = 2;tibial diaphys.s.n = 1;fibular diaphys.s.n = 1).Ablation was.performed us.ng an electrode with a 10-mm expos.d tip for a total of 4-6 min at a targeted temperature of 90 degrees.*** cooling s.s.em was.*** intervention was.accepted as.technically s.cces.ful if the tip of the electrode could be placed within the center of the *** defined clinical s.cces. as.a dis.ppearance within 2 wk after treatment of s.mptoms.that had manifes.ed at ***:All procedures.were technically *** major or immediate complications.were *** s.cces. was.achieved in s.x of eight patients.in the firs. procedure.A s.cond procedure was.performed for two patients.who had recurrent or continued pain,and one of thes. cas.s.was.s.cces.fully *** overall rate of s.cces. was.87.5%(7/8).No complication was.***:Our preliminary res.lts.indicate a favorable s.cces. rate and no complications.and are compatible with the previous.reports.of RFA of OO.
