Floristics and soil characteristics of Ohud mountain,AlMadinah Al-Munawarah,Western Saudi Arabia

Ohud mountain is one of the main important historic sites in the Arab Peninsula,and it is distinguishable over the rest of the mountains in the *** extensive floristic survey has been carried out on Ohud mountain because of the rugged topography of this *** current study investigates the floristic diversity and the correspondence of environmental factors of the phytogeographical distribution of plants,based on the floristic analysis of the present *** research question is about the relationships between the species diversity and the human impacts of populated area at lowlands around Ohud mountain.A total of 59 species belonging to 56 genera and 28 families were *** had the highest contribution,about 12%of the total plant *** analysis of the life forms demonstrated the prevalence of therophytes(68%)followed by chamaephytes(24%),indicating the adaptation of these life forms to hyperarid *** chorological analysis indicated the predominance of the bi-regional taxa over the other *** of the recorded plant species belong to Saharo-Arabian and Sudano-Zambezian(24%)*** analysis was performed to detect the indicator species of different vegetation groups and confirmed by detrended correspondence analysis(DCA or DECORANA).It is concluded that species richness and diversity revealed clear variation along the mountain and among the studied *** species diversity and richness were more pronounced in the intermediate portion of the elevation gradients across the mountain,with a decrease in the high altitudinal *** decrease was also recorded at the lower altitudes,where human impacts clearly affected vegetation;leading to a decrease in alpha *** addition,the beta diversity among moderately highlands and lowlands was considerably high indicating the heterogeneous species composition among the studied sites along mountain *** general pattern of vegetation groups di

Comprehensive analysis of glacier recession(2000-2020)in the Nun-kun Group of Glaciers,Northwestern Himalaya

Himalayan glaciers are shrinking rapidly,especially after *** shrinkage,however,shows a differential pattern in space and time,emphasizing the need to monitor and assess glacier changes at a larger *** this study,changes of 48 glaciers situated around the twin peaks of the Nun and kun mountains in the northwestern Himalaya,hereafter referred to as Nun-kun Group of Glaciers(NkGG),were investigated using Landsat satellite data during *** in glacier area,snout position,Equilibrium Line Altitude(ELA),surface thickness and glacier velocity were assessed using remote sensing data supplemented by field *** study revealed that the NkGG glaciers have experienced a recession of 4.5%±3.4%and their snouts have retreated at the rate of 6.4±1.6 m·a^(-1).Additionally,there was a 41%increase observed in the debris cover area during the observation *** the geodetic approach,an average glacier elevation change of-1.4±0.4 m·a^(-1)was observed between 2000 and *** observed mass loss of the NkGG has resulted in the deceleration of glacier velocity from 27.0±3.7 m·a^(-1)in 2000 to 21.2±2.2 m·a^(-1)in *** ELA has shifted upwards by 83.0±22 m during the *** morphological and topographic factors showed a strong influence on glacier ***,a higher recession of 12.9%±3.2%was observed in small glaciers,compared to 2.7%±3.1%in larger *** debris-covered glaciers showed lower shrinkage(2.8%±1.1%)compared to the clean glaciers(9.3%±5%).The glacier depletion recorded in the NkGG during the last two decades,if continued,would severely diminish glacial volume and capacity to store water,thus jeopardizing the sustainability of water resources in the basin.

Credit Card Fraud Detection Using Improved Deep Learning Models

Fraud of credit cards is a major issue for financial organizations and *** fraudulent actions become more complex,a demand for better fraud detection systems is *** learning approaches have shown promise in several fields,including detecting credit card ***,the efficacy of these models is heavily dependent on the careful selection of appropriate *** paper introduces models that integrate deep learning models with hyperparameter tuning techniques to learn the patterns and relationships within credit card transaction data,thereby improving fraud *** deep learning models:AutoEncoder(AE),Convolution Neural Network(CNN),and Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)are proposed to investigate how hyperparameter adjustment impacts the efficacy of deep learning models used to identify credit card *** experiments conducted on a European credit card fraud dataset using different hyperparameters and three deep learning models demonstrate that the proposed models achieve a tradeoff between detection rate and precision,leading these models to be effective in accurately predicting credit card *** results demonstrate that LSTM significantly outperformed AE and CNN in terms of accuracy(99.2%),detection rate(93.3%),and area under the curve(96.3%).These proposed models have surpassed those of existing studies and are expected to make a significant contribution to the field of credit card fraud detection.

Surface activation of viscose textiles via air,argon,and oxygen dielectric barrier discharge plasma:influence of peak voltage

This paper discusses the use of atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)plasma treatment to enhance the surface qualities of viscose *** study explores the effects of different plasma gases,discharge voltages,and exposure times on the treated *** findings emphasize the importance of optimizing the plasma's peak voltage to achieve the desired surface treatment *** document also presents data on colour strength,wettability,colour fastness,and tensile strength of the treated fabrics,as well as scanning electron microscopy(SEM)analysis of surface morphology and chemical analysis using fouriertransition infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and energy dispersive X-ray(EDX).The results show that treatment at a peak voltage of 11.83 k V is more efficient,except for the tensile strength which is enhanced at a peak voltage of 8.92 k *** oxygen plasma treatment significantly improves the colour strength,which exhibits an increase from 11 to *** intensified colour was attributed to the significant influence of electrostatic interactions between the charged hydroxyl groups of the oxygen plasma treated viscose textiles and the dye molecules,which enhance the *** oxygen DBD plasma exhibits a higher ability to enhance the properties of textiles when compared to air and argon *** study presents a sustainable,economical,secure,and ecologically friendly approach to explore new fabrics for specific uses.

Geochemistry of island arc assemblage in the Eastern Desert of Egypt and the role of Pan-African magmatism in crustal growth of the Arabian–Nubian Shield:A review

Neoproterozoic island arc assemblage of the Arabian–Nubian Shield(ANS)in the Eastern Desert(ED)of Egypt comprises juvenile suites of metavolcanics(MV),large amounts of meta-sedimentary rocks(MS),and voluminous metagabbros-diorites(MGD)and syn-tectonic intrusions of older granitoids(OG).We report here the updates of these four rock units in terms of classification,distribution,chemical characteristics,geodynamic evolution,metamorphism,and *** addition,we discuss these integrated data to elucidate a reasonable and reliable model for crustal evolution in the *** main features of these rock units indicate their relation to each other and the geodynamic environment dominated by early immature oceanic island arcs to primitive continental *** information of the island arc metavolcanic and plutonic rocks(gabbros,diorites,tonalites,and granodiorites)furnish evidence of the genetic *** include proximity and a coeval nature in the field;all protolith magmas are subalkaline in nature following calc-alkaline series with minor tholeiitic affinities;common geochemical signature of the arc rocks and subduction-related magmatism;their similar enrichment in LREEs;and similar major element compositions with mafic melts derived from metasomatized mantle *** volcano-sedimentary and the OG rocks underwent multiphase deformation events whereas the MGD complexes deformed *** on the magmatic,sedimentological,and metamorphic evolutions constrained by geochronological data as well as the progressive evolutionary trend from extensional to compressional regimes,a possible gradual decrease in the subducted slab dip angle is the most infl uential in any geodynamic model for arc assemblage in the ED of Egypt.
