The ma.ority of the popula.ion of Burkina.Fa.o lives from a.riculture a.d therefore depends on the la.d. The ma.n objective of this study is to a.sess the qua.ity of the soils in the a.ea.linked to a.tisa.a. mining a.tivities. The methodology a.opted consisted in sa.pling a.d cha.a.terizing the ma.n types of soil. In order to a.sess the level of soil pollution by a.tisa.a. mining, pa.a.eters such a. the geo-a.cumula.ion index (Igeo) a.d the conta.ina.ion fa.tor (CF) a.e ca.cula.ed. a.prediction of a.id mine dra.na.e (a.D) wa. a.so ca.ried out on sa.ples of mine ta.lings which a.e potentia. sources of pollution of these soils. The results obta.ned show tha. the soils in Yimiougou a.e of nil to low a.ronomic interest. The Igeo shows tha. for lea., copper, zinc a.d a.senic the levels found in the different morphologica. units a.e pa.tly a.tributa.le to huma. a.tion a.d specifica.ly a.tisa.a. mining. The va.ues of the conta.ina.ion fa.tor indica.e conta.ina.ion. Coba.t presents the lowest conta.ina.ion. For ca.mium, the different types of soil a.e modera.ely conta.ina.ed except for the FITLC type, which ha. a.CF va.ue of 0.50, therefore synonymous with low or a.sent conta.ina.ion. The va.ious morphologica. units studied a.e very hea.ily conta.ina.ed with zinc, copper, lea. a.d a.senic. The pH a.d conductivity va.ues indica.e tha. the mine ta.lings sa.ples a.e non-a.idogenic, therefore not yet oxidized. a. for the sulphide contents, they show tha. only sa.ples S17, S22, S23 a.d S24 present va.ues tha. a.e strictly a.ove the threshold (0.3%) a.d therefore potentia.ly a.id-genera.ing. The compa.a.ive study of the a.id potentia. (a.) a.d the neutra.iza.ion potentia. (NP) revea.s tha. the neutra.iza.ion potentia.s of the different sa.ples a.e clea.ly higher tha. the a.id potentia.s even for the sa.ples which present a.proven a.idifica.ion potentia. The preva.ence of huma. immunodeficiency virus (a.DS) a.d hepa.itis B virus a.ong hea.y truck drivers a.d their a.sista.ts ha. been well documented globa.ly in correla.ion with their beha.iora. cha.a.teristics. The present study a.med to screen for huma. immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepa.itis B virus (HBV), a.d beha.iora. cha.a.teristics a.ong hea.y truck drivers in Port Suda.. a.cross-sectiona. study wa. conducted on 274 hea.y truck drivers a.d their a.sista.ts who used the highwa. Port Suda.-Kha.toum in Port Suda. city during 2019-2021. Da.a.on beha.iora. cha.a.teristics a.d substa.ce use ha.its were collected using a.structured questionna.re, a.d a. ELISa.test wa. used to screen for HIV a.d HBV infections in the study pa.ticipa.ts. The chi-squa.e test, odds ra.io, a.d confidence interva.s were used to find the a.socia.ion between beha.iora. cha.a.teristics a.d seropositive HIV/HBV. Of the 274 enrolled pa.ticipa.ts, the seropreva.ence ra.es of HIV were 2.7% a.d HBV wa. 23.7%. Ninety-four (34.3%) of them ha. a.history of high-risk sexua. beha.ior outside of ma.ria.e;only two (0.7%) used condoms;14.2% of pa.ticipa.ts reported a.cohol use;a.d 1.1% reported drug use. Univa.ia.e a.a.ysis revea.ed tha. ha.ing a.sex history outside of ma.ria.e with ≥1 sex pa.tner a.d never using a.condom with a.spouse or ca.ua. pa.tner were significa.t risk fa.tors for HIV a.d HBV a.ong drivers. Fortuna.ely, we found tha. most of the drivers reported low a.cohol a.d drug use. Concerning this study, the seropreva.ence of HIV a.d HBV is highly a.socia.ed with a.history of ha.ing sex outside of ma.ria.e a.d sexua. beha.ior a.ong truck drivers a.d a.sista.ces. a.ditiona. studies a.e needed to further investiga.e other STIs a.d beha.iora. cha.a.teristics a.socia.ed with fa.tors in truck drivers/a.sista.ce in different truck stop regions in Suda..

The decision ma.e during this study mostly a.dresses the unrestricted error correction model (UECM), a.d composite model (Combined regression—a.IMa.. The imports of Ma.a.sia.from the first qua.ter of 1991 to the third qua.ter of 2022 a.e employed in this study’s qua.terly time series da.a. The foreca.ting outcomes of the current study demonstra.ed tha. the composite model offered more proba.ilistic da.a. which improved foreca.ting the volume of Ma.a.sia.s imports. Exploring a.New Lifetime Distribution for Modelling the Wa.ting Time of Ba.k Customers

The fitting of lifetime distribution in rea.-life da.a.ha. been studied in va.ious fields of resea.ch. With the theory of evolution still a.plica.le, more complex da.a.from rea.-world scena.ios will continue to emerge. Despite this, ma.y resea.chers ha.e ma.e commenda.le efforts to develop new lifetime distributions tha. ca. fit this complex da.a. In this pa.er, we utilized the KM-tra.sforma.ion technique to increa.e the flexibility of the power Lindley distribution, resulting in the Ka.ya.Ma.oha.a. Power Lindley (KMPL) distribution. We study the ma.hema.ica. trea.ments of the KMPL distribution in deta.l a.d a.a.t the widely used method of ma.imum likelihood to estima.e the unknown pa.a.eters of the KMPL distribution. We ca.ry out a.Monte Ca.lo simula.ion study to investiga.e the performa.ce of the Ma.imum Likelihood Estima.es (MLEs) of the pa.a.eters of the KMPL distribution. To demonstra.e the effectiveness of the KMPL distribution for da.a.fitting, we use a.rea. da.a.et comprising the wa.ting time of 100 ba.k customers. We compa.e the KMPL distribution with other models tha. a.e extensions of the power Lindley distribution. Ba.ed on some sta.istica. model selection criteria. the summa.y results of the a.a.ysis were in fa.or of the KMPL distribution. We further investiga.e the density fit a.d proba.ility-proba.ility (p-p) plots to va.ida.e the superiority of the KMPL distribution over the competing distributions for fitting the wa.ting time da.a.et.

This study a.med to compa.e the tota. phenolic content (TPC) a.d a.tioxida.t a.tivities of a. rigidula.extra.ts. It a.so a.med to identify phenolic a.ids present in the extra.ts. The 2,2-a.inobis-(3-ethylbenzothia.oline-6-sulfonic a.id) (a.TS), 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydra.yl (DPPH), ferric reducing a.tioxida.t power (FRa.), a.d ferric thiocya.a.e lipid peroxida.ion a.tioxida.t a.sa.s were performed. High performa.ce liquid chroma.ogra.hy wa. used to identify phenolic a.ids. There wa. no solvent effect on TPC nor on sca.enging a.tivities, a.d inhibition of lipid peroxida.ion (p > 0.05) a.ong solvent extra.ts. On the other ha.d, 1:1:3 wa.er: a.etone: metha.ol extra.t (10.22 mg Ga./g sa.ple) ha. significa.tly higher reducing potentia. tha. 50% etha.ol extra.t (EE) (9.259 mg Ga./g sa.ple) (p a. not significa.tly different from 80% metha.ol extra.t (9.781 mg Ga./g sa.ple) (p > 0.05). Phenolic fra.tion designa.ed a. fra.tion 4 ha. the highest a.tioxida.t a.tivity (p a.TS sca.enging a.tivity a.d FRa. reducing potentia., 22.26 mg of Ga./g sa.ple. DPPH sca.enging a.tivities of fra.tions 4 (55.59%) a.d 5 (55.64%) were significa.tly higher tha. the other fra.tions (p a. rigidula.extra.ts conta.n ga.lic, ca.feic, va.illic, p-couma.ic, sa.icylic a.ids a.d va.illin.

Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is the most preva.ent a.toimmune sub-epiderma. blistering disea.e tha. a.fects ma.nly the elderly a.d could lea. to serious morbidity. It ha. numerous risk fa.tors a.d triggers, including a. a.ing popula.ion with severa. comorbidities a.d drug exposure. In the published pa.er, we reported a.ca.e a.out a.32 yea.s old ma.e pa.ient with unknown medica. conditions who presented with erythema.ous pa.ches a.d pla.ues on the sca.p, fa.e, a.d trunk with sca.tered blisters two weeks a.ter initia.ing doxycycline trea.ment for folliculitis. The exa.t pa.hogenesis of the drug-rea.tion in drug- a.socia.ed bullous pemphigoid (Da.P) rema.ns controversia.. In conclusion, it is crucia. for clinicia.s to be a.a.e of Da.P when prescribing doxycycline. The purpose of this ca.e report is to ra.se a.a.eness of the possible a.socia.ion between bullous pemphigoid a.d doxycycline.

It is shown tha. a.ra.dom va.ia.le sha.e pa.a.eter stra.egy ca. improve the a.cura.y of a.proxima.ing higher order deriva.ives with Ra.ia. Ba.is Function methods. The method is used to solve fourth order bounda.y va.ue problems. The use a.d loca.ion of ghost points a.e exa.ined in order to enforce the extra.bounda.y conditions tha. a.e necessa.y to ma.e a.fourth-order problem well posed. The use of ghost points versus solving a. overdetermined linea. system via.lea.t squa.es is studied. For a.genera. fourth-order bounda.y va.ue problem, the recommended a.proa.h is to either use one of two novel sets of ghost centers introduced here or else to use a.lea.t squa.es a.proa.h. When using either ghost centers or lea.t squa.es, the ra.dom va.ia.le sha.e pa.a.eter stra.egy results in significa.tly better a.cura.y tha. when a.consta.t sha.e pa.a.eter is used.

This resea.ch a.med to eva.ua.e wa.er qua.ity in high-pressure Peruvia. a.thropic sectors of La.e Titica.a.using a.ca.ibra.ed index. The study considered ten importa.t ba.s with influence from urba. sectors. In ea.h ba., surfa.e wa.ers were monitored for six yea.s, considering physica., chemica. a.d microbiologica. pa.a.eters. Wa.er qua.ity wa. a.sessed using the NSF Wa.er Qua.ity Index (NSF-WQI) a.d the one ca.ibra.ed for La.e Titica.a.(WQIT). Compa.ing the efficiency of these two indices, the WQIT showed a.va.ia.ion from modera.ely polluted ba.s to ba. qua.ity ba.s, such a. Desa.ua.ero a.d Yunguyo. These two ba.s were cla.sified a. hypereutrophic, therefore, the uses a.tributa.le to this condition a.e only irriga.ion a.d energy production. a.plying the NSF-WQI, the results were not a.le to identify this significa.ive difference, a. a.l ba.s were cla.sified a. modera.e qua.ity wa.ers. This result indica.es tha. the WQIT ca.ibra.ion wa. a.equa.e, a. it a.lows inferring a.d estima.ing the wa.er qua.ity of La.e Titica.a.with grea.er precision. a.cording to Peru’s wa.er qua.ity sta.da.d for ca.egory 4, esta.lished for the conserva.ion of the country’s la.es, the pa.a.eters tha. exceeded the sta.da.d va.ues were PO4-P (0.035 mg∙L−1) a.d BOD5 (5 mg∙L−1) in a.l ba.s, a.d TC (1000 MPN mL−1) in Yunguyo ba.. These high va.ues indica.e eutrophica.ion processes, one of the ma.n problems in the study a.ea. The WQIT ca.ibra.ed for La.e Titica.a.ca. be used a. a. efficient tool to a.sess wa.er qua.ity in high a.dea. lentic wa.erbodies in South a.erica.
