Background and Purpose— Mitochondrial dysfunction is involved in the mechanism of early brain injury（EBI） following subarachnoid hemorrhage（SAH）. Blood-brain barrier disruption is a devastating outcome in the early stage of SAH. In this study, we aimed to investigate the role of a mitochondria-related drug Mitoquinone（MitoQ） in blood-brain barrier disruption after SAH in rats. Methods— A total of 181 male Sprague–Dawley SAH rats with the endovascular perforation model were utilized. Intraperitoneal MitoQ was given 1 hour（h） post-SAH. Cerebroventricular ML385, an inhibitor of NF-E2-related factor 2（Nrf2） and Small interfering ribonucleic acid（siRNA） for Prohibitin 2（PHB2） were injected respectively 24 h and 48 h before SAH. Neurological function evaluation was performed before sacrifice. SAH grade was measured during the sacrifice of each animal. Brain water content was performed at 24 h. Coimmunoprecipitation was used to demonstrate the relationship of proteins Nrf2 and PHB2. Mitochondrial and cytoplasmic fractions were gathered using mitochondria isolation kits. Pathway related proteins were investigated with Western blot and immunofluorescence staining. Transmission electron microscopy was performed for mitochondrial morphology. Results— Expression of Nrf2 levels peaked at the 3 h time point following SAH and then decreased to normal levels at 24 h, while PHB2 and Optic Atrophy 1（OPA1） decreased at 24 h and 72 h after SAH compared with the Sham group. MitoQ treatment attenuated neurological deficits and brain edema, thereby resulting in a decreased expression of Albumin, while an increase of Nrf2, PHB2, OPA1 and Claudin-5 proteins compared with SAH+vehicle group. With co-immunoprecipitation, Nrf2 and PHB2 were further demonstrated to show their interaction. And MitoQ administration lead to more binding of the two proteins. ML385 abolished the effects of MitoQ on neurobehavior and protein levels post-SAH. Similarly, PHB2 siRNA reversed the neuroprotection of MitoQ

Let K be a 2-torsion free ring with identity and Rn(K, J) be the ring of all n × n matrices over K such that the entries on and above the main diagonal are elements of an ideal J of K. We describe all Jordan derivations of the matrix ring Rn(K, J) in this paper. The main result states that every Jordan derivation △ of Rn(K, J) is of the form △= D +Ω, where D is a derivation of Rn(K, J) and Ω is an extremal Jordan derivation of Rn(K, J).

A detailed study has been carried out to investigate the effect of applied current density on the composition, crystallographic structure, grain size, and surface morphology of Fe-Cu films. X-ray diffraction （XRD） results show that the films consist of a mixture of face-centered cubic （fcc） Cu and body centered cubic （bcc） ^-Fe phases. The average crystalline size of both Fe and Cu particles decreases as the applied current density becomes more negative. Compositional analysis of Fe-Cu films indicates that the Fe content within the films increases with decreasing current density towards more negative values. Scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and atomic force microscopy （AFM） have been used to investigate the surface morphology of Fe-Cu films. It is observed that the surface morphology of the films changes from dendritic structure to a cauliflower structure as the applied current density becomes more negative. The surface roughness and grain size of the Fe-Cu films decrease with decreasing applied current density towards more negative values.

Digital elevation model （DEM） is the most popular product for three-dimensional （3D） digital representation of bare Earth surface and can be produced by many techniques with different characteristics and ground sampling distances （GSD）. Space-borne opti- cal and synthetic aperture radar （SAR） imaging are two of the most preferred and modern techniques for DEM generation. Using them, global DEMs that cover almost entire Earth are produced with low cost and time saving processing. In this study, we aimed to assess the Satellite pour robservation de la Terre-5 （SPOT-5）, High Resolution Stereoscopic （HRS）, the Advanced Space-borne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer （ASTER）, and the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission （SRTM） C-band global DEMs, produced with space-borne optical and SAR imaging. For the assessment, a reference DEM derived from 1 ： 1000 scaled digital photogrammetric maps was used. The study is performed in 100 km2 study area in Istanbul including various land classes such as open land, forest, built-up land, scrub and rough terrain obtained from Landsat data. The analyses were realized considering three vertical accuracy types as fundamental, supplemental, and consolidated, defined by national digital elevation program （NDEP） of USA. The results showed that, vertical accuracy of SRTM C-band DEM is better than optical models in all three accuracy types despite having the largest grid spacing. The result of SPOT-5 HRS DEM is very close by SRTM and superior in comparison with ASTER models.

Individuals with special needs learn more slowly than their peers and they need repetitions to be ***,in crowded classrooms,it is dif-ﬁcult for a teacher to deal with each student *** problem can be overcome by using supportive education ***,the majority of such applications are not designed for special education and therefore they are not efﬁcient as *** education students differ from their peers in terms of their development,characteristics,and educational qualiﬁ*** handwriting skills of individuals with special needs are lower than their *** makes the task of Handwriting Recognition(HWR)more difﬁ*** over-come this problem,we propose a new personalized handwriting veriﬁcation sys-tem that validates digits from the handwriting of special education *** system uses a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)created and trained from *** data set used is obtained by collecting the handwriting of the students with the help of a tablet.A special education center is visited and the handwrittenﬁgures of the students are collected under the supervision of special education *** system is designed as a person-dependent system as every student has their writing ***,the system achieves promising results,reaching a recognition accuracy of about 94%.Overall,the system can verify special educa-tion students’handwriting digits with high accuracy and is ready to integrate with a mobile application that is designed to teach digits to special education students.

As a result of advances in horizontal comple- tions and multi-stage hydraulic fracturing, the U.S. has been able to economically develop several decades of worth of natural gas. However, a considerable concern has risen on the economic viability of shale gas development for reasons associated with the fast production declines as well as recent down-turns of natural gas prices besides rises in the costs of new technologies. Therefore, an economic analysis is required to investigate the profitability of the re- fracturing treatment of unconventional gas resources. Net present value of cash flows and internal rate of return are calculated for a range of gas prices considering 20 years of natural gas production from a typical unconventional shale gas reservoir. A systematic comparison is then accom- plished for three scenarios：（1） re-fracturing versus no re- fracturing, （2） combination of re-fracturing and drilling new wells, and （3） time-dependent re-fracturing treatment. Further, this paper incorporates the cost of re-fracturing treatment, the cost of drilling a new horizontal well, the water treatment cost, as well as the current and future price of natural gas in the model. The findings of this work would help the future re-stimulation development plans of the emerging unconventional shale gas plays.
