Electromagnetic coupling via an evanescent field or radiative wave is a primary characteristic of light,allowing optical signal/power transfer in a photonic circuit but limiting integration density.A leaky mode,which combines both evanescent field and radiative wave,causes stronger coupling and is thus considered not ideal for dense *** we show that a leaky oscillation with anisotropic perturbation rather can achieve completely zero crosstalk realized by subwavelength grating(SWG)*** oscillating fields in the SWGs enable coupling coefficients in each direction to counteract each other,resulting in completely zero *** experimentally demonstrate such an extraordinarily low coupling between closely spaced identical leaky SWG waveguides,suppressing the crosstalk by≈40 dB compared to conventional strip waveguides,corresponding to≈100 times longer coupling *** leaky-SWG suppresses the crosstalk of transverse–magnetic(TM)mode,which is challenging due to its low confinement,and marks a novel approach in electromagnetic coupling applicable to other spectral regimes and generic devices.

A tremendous amount of non-biodegradable waste is created during mining and processing tasks of layered stones like *** time,this has become a global problem because it harms the environment in multiple ***,it is necessary to find an alternate way to securely dispose and reuse marble *** construction sector is one of the significant consumers of natural resources for the production of material binders and *** a result,in recent years,number of researchers have carried out studies in which various kinds of marble waste have been incorporated into concrete with the intention of substituting either cement or aggregates or *** paper presents the effect of two locally sourced waste marble powders Kadapa marble powder(KMP)and Bethamcherla marble powder(BMP)as partial replacement of cement on mechanical and durability properties of high strength concrete(HSC).Their effect at different replacement levels in HSC is evaluated in compressive,indirect tensile and flexural strengths,elastic modulus,chloride penetration resistance and freeze-thaw durability ***-structural investigation is also conducted to evaluate their impact on the matrix of HSC containing waste marble powders as additional cementitious *** show that the HSC consisting of KMP and BMP content of 10%and 15%,respectively exhibited higher mechanical and durability properties than the control ***-structural investigation also supports this *** can be concluded that the use of marble powders as partial replacement of cement does not have any adverse impact on the properties of *** use of KMP and BMP reduces the vast amount of energy required to produce cement,cost and time with reduction in environmental hazards.

The oxidation of several largely austenitic Fe-Cr-Ni alloys at 500-1200℃ was studied thermogravimetrically,metallographically and in detail by electron probe ***-Cr-Ni alloys of this type are protected by Cr2O3-healed scale,which thickens slower than on the corresponding binary Fe-Cr and Ni-Cr alloys,presumably because nickel and iron ions dope the Cr2O3 more effectively together than singly and/or because the alloy composition and ability to absorb cation vacancies are such as to produce a smaller vacancy activity gradient or level in the scale,or voids within *** oxidation of impure Fe-Cr-Ni alloys,principally austenitic stainless steels,was extensively studied at many different *** to the research,it is possible to conclude that,depending on the circumstances,nickel generally improves oxidation resistance and may enter thin films（usually in the nucleation stages）,scale nodules（generally at breakaway）,thick catastrophically oxidizing scales（often as nickel-rich alloy particles）,or be retained in the alloy near the alloy-oxide *** recent research,a short note described the oxidation of pure Fe-18%Cr,with a wide range of nickel additions,in 1 atm oxygen at 1000℃.As little as 0.14%Ni doubles the oxidation rate;further additions increased it yet further until with 13-85%Ni the rate can be six times that of the binary Fe-Cr ***,an alloy with 34.5%Ni oxidized little faster than a nickel-free alloy,despite locally increased scaling.

Morton neuroma is well described problem to metatarsophalangeal Joint (MTPJ) Etiology of Morton’s Neuroma which has wide range of problems from trauma, and nerve hypertrophy etc. Clinical evaluation is very important for diagnosis and sometimes investigations like ultrasound or MRI scan are helpful for conformation of diagnosis. Management varies from orthotics, shoe modification, injections or surgical excision. We are reporting a case which showed importance of surgical exploration when investigation is normal and difficulty in making diagnosis clinically.

由于钾资源分布广泛,钾离子电池（PIB）被认为是一种很有前途的电能存储技术选择。然而,开发低成本且高性能的负极材料仍然是PIB未来发展面临的主要挑战。我们采用水热法制备了硫化钴空心球及N掺杂碳/CoS2/CuCo2S4（CoS2/CuCo2S4@NCs）空心球,研究了其储钾性能。硫化钴空心结构提供了高比表面积,保证了电解液与电极材料的充分接触,有助于改善电极材料容量性能。进一步地,我们构筑了氮掺杂碳包覆的CoS2和CuCo2S4异质结构空心球复合材料,CoS2和CuCo2S4界面可以产生内建电场,从而加快电子传输。CoS2和CuCo2S4纳米结构可以缩短K+的扩散长度并提供与电解液接触的大表面积。此外,内部空心球空隙以及氮掺杂碳层可以适应循环过程中的体积膨胀。更重要的是,N掺杂碳可以增加负极材料体系的的导电性。得益于上述特性,CoS2/CuCo2S4@NCs表现出出色的倍率性能（250次循环后500 mA g-1时为309 mAh g-1）和长期循环寿命（1000 mA g-1时为112 mAh g-1在1000次循环后）在醚基电解质中。CoS2/CuCo2S4@NCs s负极的转化反应机理也通过非原位XRD表征揭示。本课题工作的开展为钾离子电池负极材料发展提供了借鉴思路,为研究金属硫化物及异质结复合材料作为PIBs的负极提供了一个实用的方向。

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),is a disease spectrum characterized by fat accumulation in hepatocytes presenting as hepatic steatosis to advance disease with active hepatic inflammation,known as nonalcoholic *** steatohepatitis will lead to progressive hepatic fibrosis causing cirrhosis and increased risk for developing hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Fatty liver disease prevalence has increased at alarming rates alongside obesity,diabetes and metabolic syndrome to become the second most common cause of cirrhosis after alcohol related liver disease *** this rise in prevalence,it is becoming increasingly more important to find non-invasive methods to diagnose disease early and stage hepatic *** clinicians with the tools to diagnose and treat the full spectrum of NAFLD will help prevent known complications such as cirrhosis and HCC and improve quality of life for the patients suffering from this *** article discusses the utility of current noninvasive liver function testing in the clinical progression of fatty liver disease along with the imaging modalities that are ***,we summarize available treatment options including targeted medical therapy through four different pathways,surgical or endoscopic intervention.

Genesis of Graphite in Betul Belt, Madhya Pradesh, India: Inferences Based on Petrographic and Other Studies

Betul belt is known for its volcanic massive sulphide type of mineralization in the geological circles of India. But here the betul belt has been presented with a different qualification, which is graphite mineralization. The graphite mineralization is popularly known within the proterozoic sediments of Aravalli Supegroup of rocks in South Rajasthan and in its extension in the Jhabua and Alirajpur districts of Madhaya Pradesh. The graphite mineralization in Betul belt is confined to the supracrustals enclosed within the granite gneisses and has been brought on the national map after the recently explored blocks by geological survey of India, which were auctioned for the commercial exploitation. This paper briefly discuses the possible mechanism of formation and the nature of mineralization of graphite here in this belt, essentially based on the inferences drawn from petrography supported by scanning electron microscopic and XRD data. It is concluded that major proportion of the graphite mineralization here is accumulated due to progressive metamorphism of the organic matter deposited along with various sediments, while a considerable component has been contributed by the precipitation from super critical graphite rich fluids.

Objective:To study the chemical profile,antimicrobial properties,and synergistic effect with known antibiotics of essential oil extracted from the marine red macroalgae Centroceras clavulatum(***)Montagne,collected in ***:The chemical composition of the oil was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass *** oil was evaluated for antibacterial(Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Escherichia coli,Bacillus subtilis,Micrococcus luteus,Staphylococcus aureus,and Klebsiella pneumoniae),and antifungal activity(Candida albicans,Candida glabrata,Candida krusei,and Candida parapsilosis),by the disc diffusion *** minimum inhibitory and minimum microbicidal concentrations of the oil were determined,as well as the synergistic effects of its application combined with the antibiotics ciprofloxacin and fluconazole,by the checkerboard ***:Thirty molecules were identified in the essential oil,comprising 96.27%of the total oil *** such as carvacrol(36.06%)were the most abundant compounds,followed by caryophyllene(14.67%),endo-borneol(9.04%),pyroterebic acid(3.23%)and caryophyllene oxide(3.13%).The oil exhibited a moderate antimicrobial activity with inhibition zone diameters ranging from 9.0 to 15.0 *** minimum inhibitory concentration values varied between 0.9 and 14.7 mg/mL,and Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli were the more sensitive bacteria with 0.9 and 1.9 mg/mL,*** minimum microbicidal concentration values ranged from 0.4 to 14.7 mg/mL.A significant synergic action was observed when the oil was applied in combination with ciprofloxacin and fluconazole,with fractional inhibitory concentration index values ranging from 0.31 to *** was found in 80%of the combinations and a 2 to 16-fold reduction of antibiotics MIC was ***:Our findings suggest that the essential oil of Centroceras clavulatum should be further appraised for its potential use in the management of multi-drug resistant microo

Objective:To High light some epidemiological,clinical and diagnostic features of dengue fever during an outbreak and the role of different diagnostic techniques to achieve the highest level of accuracy in ***:Blood samples(n=323) were collected along with epidemiological and clinical data from suspected dengue patients who visited different hospitals in Swat and Mansehra district of Pakistan between May-November 2013 during a dengue *** were tested for the detection of viral nucleic acid by real-lime *** structural protein-1(NS1antigen and IgM antibodies by ***:Out of 323 cases with clinical dengue infection,304 were positive by one or more diagnostic parameter:201 samples were positive by real-time PCR,209 were positive by NS1 ELISA and 190 were positive by IgM *** of real-time PCR and NS1 *** were comparable for early diagnosis of dengue virus *** antibody detection assay was found useful for the diagnosis in the samples collected later than day 5 of ***:The use of real-lime PCR or detection of non stnictural protein NS 1 by ELISA followed by IgM antibodies detection can be recommended for early diagnosis of dengue virus infection with a high level of accuracy.
