Glaciers in the Himalaya are often heavily covered with supraglacial debris,making them difficult to study with remotely-sensed imagery *** methods such as band ratios can be used effectively to map clean-ice glaciers;however,a thicker layer of debris often makes it impossible to distinguish between supraglacial debris and the surrounding ***,a morphometric mapping approach employing an ASTER-derived digital elevation model has been used to map glaciers in the Khumbu Himal and the Tien *** study on glaciers in the Greater Himalaya Range in Zanskar,southern Ladakh,aims (i) to use the morphometric approach to map large debris-covered glaciers;and (ii) to use Landsat and ASTER data and GPS and field measurements to document glacier change over the past four *** work was carried out in the summers of *** clean ice,band ratios from the ASTER dataset were used to distinguish glacial *** debris-covered glaciers,topographic features such as slope were combined with thermal imagery and supervised classifiers to map glacial *** method is promising for large glaciers,although problems occurred in the distal and lateral parts and in the fore field of the glaciers.A multi-temporal analysis of glaciers in Zanskar showed that in general they have receded since at least the mid-to ***,some few glaciers that advanced or oscillated - probably because of specific local environmental conditions - do exist.

Landslide susceptibility assessment is crucial in predicting landslide occurrence and potential ***,traditional methods usually emphasize on larger regions of landsliding and rely on relatively static environmental conditions,which exposes the hysteresis of landslide susceptibility assessment in refined-scale and temporal dynamic *** study presents an improved landslide susceptibility assessment approach by integrating machine learning models based on random forest(RF),logical regression(LR),and gradient boosting decision tree(GBDT)with interferometric synthetic aperture radar(InSAR)technology and comparing them to their respective original *** results demonstrated that the combined approach improves prediction accuracy and reduces the false negative and false positive *** LR-InSAR model showed the best performance in dynamic landslide susceptibility assessment at both regional and smaller scale,particularly when identifying areas of high and very high *** results were verified using data from field investigations including unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)*** study is of great significance to accurately assess dynamic landslide susceptibility and to help reduce and prevent landslide risk.

Peptidases are essential for intracellular protein processing,signaling and homeostasis,physiological processes and for digestion of ***,peptidases are important biotechnological enzymes used in processes such as industrial food processing,leather manufacturing and the washing *** of peptidases is a crucial step in their characterization but peptidase annotation is not a trivial task due to their large sequence *** the present study short,conserved sequence profiles were generated for all peptidase families with more than four members in the comprehensive Merops peptidase *** sequence profiles were combined with the Homology to Peptide Pattern(Hotpep)method for automatic annotation of *** method is a standalone software that annotates protease sequences to Merops family and subgroup and is suitable for large-scale sequence *** to the Mammalian Degradome Database Hotpep-protease had an accuracy of 92%and a sensitivity of 96%for annotation of the human *** by commonly used methods(Blast and conserved domains)had an accuracy of 69%and a sensitivity of 78%.For fungal genomes,there were large differences between annotation with Hotpep-protease,Blast-and Hidden Markov Model-based annotation and the Merops annotation,which confirms the difficulty of large-scale peptidase *** annotation indicated that Hotpep-protease had a positive prediction rate of 0.90 compared to a positive prediction rate of 0.67 for Blast ***,Hotpep-protease is highly accurate method for fast and accurate annotation of peptidases.

In recent years the occurrence of civilisation related diseases such as diabetes and obesity is increasing at a dramatic rate. This results in a growing consumer awareness of relationships between diet and health. Industry is respond ing to this trend by introducing products with a healthy image, including products with dietary fibre. Every year about 500 products are being launched globally with statements regarding their fibre content. Dietary fibre is usually defined as "the edible parts of plants or analogous carbohydrates that are resistant to digestion and absorption in the human small intestine with complete or partial fermentation in the large intestine. Dietary fibre includes polysaccharides, oligosaccharides, lignin, and associated substances. Dietary fibres promote beneficial physiological effects including laxation, and/or blood cholesterol attenuation, and/or blood glucose attenuation" (AACC, 2001).

Addiction is recognised as one of the chronic illnesses, often leading to medical, psychological, economic, and social problems, making multi-dimensional care for these people within the existing system a challenge. This loads an already loaded primary and secondary care system. The Verslavingskoepel Kempen (VKK) is an initiative to answer this challenge as it aims to integrate the care provided by the zeroth to third-line care around addiction treatment. Zeroth refers to the care and support provided by the human context of the patients, such as family and peers. This extends the integrated care model that is suggested by the WHO. The aim of the dissertation is firstly, to identify the organizational aspects crucial for the success of the network. The Findings show that success is confirmed by participating local communities when highlighting the importance of the intramural connection between their community social services and professionals, hospitals, and experience holders. All interviewees recognize collateral and process leadership with resources emerging from different partners and without hierarchical management. The second aim considers whether success must be attributed to the instrumental organizational aspects of the collaboration or the values of the different caregivers. The Findings show that in this network the organizational aspects and the caregivers’ values are complementary. The third aim is to develop conclusions on the transferability of the network model. This is confirmed;however, the governmental policy is not accompanied by a funding system within the institutionalized remuneration and reimbursement structure. It makes the initiative dependent on the motivation of partner organizations to participate financially, raises doubt about the sustainability of the initiative, and sets conditions for as well as limitations on transferability.
