Cementitious gangue-fly ash backfill (CGB) is used as a green mining technology worldwide. However, under the coupled effects of geological stress and groundwater, the metal elements in the CGB tend to migrate into nearby strata, which can consequently result in pollution of the groundwater environment. In this paper, the influence of initial pH and stress damage on the migration behavior of metal elements in CGB is quantitatively studied through the multi-physical field coupling model of stress-permeability-concentration. The enhanced Nemerow index evaluation method is used to comprehensively evaluate the impact of these metal elements migration behaviors on the groundwater environment. The research results show that: (1) When the stress damage of the CGB increases from 0.76 to 0.95, the Darcy velocity at the bottom of the CGB first increases, then decreases, and finally stabilizes at 2.01×10−7 m/s. The longest time to reach the maximum Darcy velocity is 3 a. (2) When the damage of the CGB is 0.95, the farthest migration distances of Al, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ba, and Pb are 40.5, 34.0, 29.8, 32.9, 38.8 and 32.1 m, respectively. (3) The alkaline environment stimulates the migration of Al, Cr, Fe, Mn, and Pb, whereas Ba migrates farther under acidic conditions. The farthest migration distance of Ba is 31.6 m under pH 3. (4) The enhanced Nemerow index indicates that when stress damage increases from 0.76 to 0.95, the areas with poor water quality increase from 0 to 1.71%, and no area is classified as very poor grade. When the initial pH changes from 3 to 11, 100% of the region is classified as fair or above. The initial pH of the CGB has a relatively slight influence on the groundwater environment. This study provides experimental data and theoretical basis for the environmental evaluation of CGB. © 2024

H pylori is etiologically associated with gastritis, gas-tric and duodenal ulcers, gastric adenocarcinoma and mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. Eradicating H pylori may convert rapidly the outcome of related diseases with the use of more accurate diagnostic molecular tests. Indeed some of the tests cannot give the evidence of current infection; H pylori can be detected by noninvasive and invasive methods, the latter requiring an endoscopy. Eradication failure is a big problem in H pylori infection. Recently, clarithromycin resistance in H pylori strains is increasing and eradicati-on therapy of this bacterium is becoming more difficult. Molecular methods have frequently been applied besides phenotypic methods for susceptibility testing to detect clarithromycin resistance due to mutations in the 2143 and 2144 positions of 23S rRNA gene. Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) method on paraffin embedded tissue is a rapid, accurate and cost-effective method for the detection of H pylori infection and to determine clarithromycin resistance within three hours according to the gold standards as a non-culture method. This method can also be applied to fresh biopsy samples and the isolated colonies from a culture of H pylori, detecting both the culturable bacillary forms and the coccoid forms of H pylori, besides the paraffin embedded tissue secti-ons. This technique is helpful for determining the bac-terial density and the results of treatment where clarith-romycin has been widely used in populations to increase the efficacy of the treatment and to clarify the treatment failure in vitro.

7039 Al alloy plates which were used as armor materials were produced by powder metallurgy method. The prepared mixed powders were pressed and plated by extrusion process. These plates, after being subjected to T6 heat treatment, were joined double-sided by friction stir welding method. Microstructure and microhardness of the welded plate were investigated. It was determined that the finest grain structure and the lowest hardness value occurred in the stir zone as 2-6 mm and HV 80.9, respectively. In order to determine the ballistic properties of welded plates, 7.62 mm armor piercing projectiles were shot to the base metal（BM）, heat affected zone（HAZ）, and thermomechanically affected zone＋stir zone（TMAZ＋SZ）. Ballistic limits（v_（50）） of these zones were determined. The ballistic limits of the BM, TMAZ＋SZ, and HAZ of the plate were approximately 14.7%, 15.3%, and 17.9% lower than that of the standard plate at the same thickness, respectively. It was determined that the armor piercing projectiles created petaling and ductile hole enlargement failure types at the armor plate. Ballistic and mechanical results can be enhanced by hot-cold rolling mills after extrusion and particle reinforcement.

Aim: Erectile dysfunction may be observed in up to 80% of patients with Peyronie's disease. An objective evaluation of the erectile function is attempted to work out in patients with Peyronie's disease. Methods: Penile deformity, sexual function and penile vascular status were analyzed in 123 patients with Peyronie's disease, who had not received any pertinent treatment. Results: Penile deformity, palpable plaque and pain on erection were seen in 112 (91%), 97(78.8%) and 27 (21.9%) of the 123 patients, respectively. Of the 76 patients evaluated by color Doppler ultrasounography, veno-occlusive dysfunction as the vascular component for erectile dysfunction was found in 17 (22.3%), arterial insufficiency in 10(13.1%) and a mixed picture in 23 (30.2%). Conclusion: The documentation of penile erectile function and the determination of the vascular status using color Doppler ultrasonography can guide the appropriate therapeutic choice.

Alveolar echinococcosis(AE) is a zoonotic disease that is caused by Echinococcus multilocularis that affects liver and a variety of organs and tissues. It differs from other echinococcal disease because it shows tumor like behavior in the affected organ and tissues. The treatment of choice is concomitant medical therapy and resection with negative margins. Nevertheless, resection with the intent of negative margins(R0) may lead to serious complications such as liver failure. In the present case report, we used Associating Liver Partition and Portal Vein Ligation for Staged Hepatectomy(ALPPS) procedure, which was defined in 2012 by Schnitzbauer et al, in a 28-year-old male patient to avoid complications of major liver resection in order to treat alveolar echinococcosis. Until now, we have not encountered any study using ALPPS procedure for the treatment of alveolar echinococcosis. In the present case report we aimed to show that ALPPS procedure can be safely performed for marginnegative resection of primary or recurrent AE that shows a tumor like behavior. It is our opinion that this procedure should be performed in centers that have expertise and sufficient technical capacity to perform liver transplantation and advanced liver surgery.

Lactic Acid Bacteria(LAB)from different niches can be responsible for the production of distinct exopolysaccharides(EPS)that might possess important structural and technological *** this respect,the aim of this study was to isolate an EPS producer LAB strain from bee pollen *** mesenteroides BI-20 with a slimy-mucoid colony morphology was identified from bee pollen and the structural,technological and functional characteristics of EPS produced by this strain were *** BI-20 was a highly branched dextran containing 20%(1→3)-linked α-D-glucose branches determined by ^(1)H and ^(13)C NMR *** presence of(1→6)/(1→3)-linkedα-D-glucose linkages in dextran BI-20 was also confirmed by FTIR *** BI-20,with a molecular weight of 1×10^(8) Da,possessed strong thermal properties,amorphous nature and highly branched and fibrous microstructural characteristics determined by DSC,TGA,XRD and SEM analysis,*** terms of functional roles,dextran BI-20 demonstrated strong antioxidant capacity detected by ABTS and CUPRAC ***,no digestion was observed in dextran BI-20 under simulated gastric *** of this study unveiled techno-functional characteristics of dextran BI-20 produced by a bee pollen isolate LAB strain.

International institutions and understanding of security formed after the Second World War is increasingly becoming inefficient to deal with the necessities of security in our time. Moreover, the increase of the non-state actors and their influence on security led the way to new arguments that highlight individual security instead of state security such as ＂right of retention＂ which is a dispute between the Westphalia system and the liberal order. The possibility to provide security in all national or international levels with the understanding and the institutions of the past is diminishing. We now face a variety of challenges, both old and new, as well as a variety of opportunities to help shape conditions and events that will work both for us and for others. In essence, we have a ＂paradigm gap＂ and we recognize that the nature of international politics is a complex for the exercise of power and influence. In a world of continuing diversity, mistrust, and uncertainty, it is likely that the search for a more cooperative global society is likely to remain in conflict with the powerful pressures which exist for state and other political communities, to look after what they perceive to be their own sectional, national, or regional security against threats form without and within. Whether and how greater international and global security can be achieved, still remains the hardest nut of international politics to crack. Within this study, by introducing the concept of ＂liquid security＂ for the first time in terms of finding security solutions to the scope and variety of the 21st century, it is focused on the fundamental basis of the probable new international order and security understanding. Fundamental principle as the basis of liquid security is to ensure a cooperative global society in a standard and fair security system.
