We study quark and strange quark matter in the context of general relativity. For this purpose, we solve Einstein＇s field equations for quark and strange quark matter in spherical symmetric space-times. We analyze strange quark matter for the different equations of state （EOS） in the spherical symmetric space-times, thus we are able to obtain the space-time geometries of quark and strange quark matter. Also, we discuss the features of the obtained solutions. The obtained solutions are consistent with the results of Brookhaven Laboratory, i.e. the quark-gluon plasma has a vanishing shear （i.e. quark-gluon plasma is perfect）.

AIM: To evaluate susceptibility of Helicobacter pylori to amoxicillin and clarithromycin in end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients and non-uremic controls. METHODS: The subjects with dyspeptic complaints were 33 ESRD patients and 46 age- and sex-matched non-uremic controls who exhibited H pylori on antral biopsy specimens. The two groups were age and sex matched. The H pylori strains' pattern of susceptibility to amoxicillin and clarithromycin was investigated with the agar dilution technique. RESULTS: None of the H pylori strains from either group showed resistance to amoxicillin with the agar dilution method. Twelve (36.4%) of the ESRD group strains and 7 (15.2%) of the control group strains showed resistance to clarithromycin, and this difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Resistance to amoxicillin does not appear to be an important problem in H py/ori-infected ESRD and non-uremic patients in our region. In contrast, the rates of resistance to clarithromycin are high, particularly in the ESRD population.

This is a very rare toxic event, and there is insufficient data to describe prevention strategies. Increased awareness and reporting of cases will help to better explain the association between targeted therapy and the radiation recall phenomenon.

BACKGROUND:Mirizzi syndrome is a rare complication of cholelithiasis,characterized by the narrowing of the common hepatic duct as a result of mechanical compression and/or inflammation due to biliary calculus impacted in the infundibula of the gallbladder or in the cystic *** this study,we aimed to describe the clinical presentations,investigations,operative details,and complications of seven patients who underwent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and were finally diagnosed with Mirizzi syndrome in our center. METHOD:We performed a retrospective analysis of the records of 7 patients with Mirizzi syndrome who underwent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. RESULTS:The incidence of Mirizzi syndrome was 1.07% of 656 patients given endoscopic retrograde cholangiopan- *** was able to diagnose one *** retrograde cholangiopancreatography suggested the diagnosis in five cases and helped further in the management of these *** patients had cholecystectomy and T-tube placement,and two had cholecystectomy and *** patient with typeⅠMirizzi syndrome according to the Csendes classification successfully underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy. CONCLUSIONS:In the study,the incidence of Mirizzi syndrome was 1.07%of patients who underwent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. Preoperative diagnosis of Mirizzi syndrome by endoscopicretrograde cholangiopancreatography is important to prevent complications.

染色体图像的分析对于发现一个人的遗传信息和可能的疾病起着重要作用。如今,遗传学被认为与许多疾病和异常有关。几十年来,科学家们一直在努力使这一重要操作自动化。片段化在人类基因组分析中占有非常重要的地位。然而,如果没有自动的解决方案,它就变成了一个非常耗时且容易出错的过程。因此,这里提出一种用于此目的的解决方案。因为染色体的提取是分析概念中的第一步,所以它也很重要,因为分割的准确性影响着接下来的所有工作。但是,这不是一件容易的事。首先,染色体图像的背景非常嘈杂,并且包含一些其他的细胞颗粒,染色碎片。另一个问题是染色体的形状和结构变化很大。此外,因为它们是串状物体,所以它们往往彼此重叠或接触其他染色体。针对上述问题,首先研究了背景去除技术。为此比较了基于U-Net的全卷积神经网络模型和自适应局部阈值方法。随着批量归一化、数据增强、dropout等优化方法的大量使用,基于深度学习的方法在图像上取得了很好的效果,而自适应阈值法的成功率很低。为了分离接触染色体,同时采用了分水岭分割和测地线路径算法两种方法。分水岭变换在时间消耗方面改进了算法,测地线路径方法为更平滑和更精确的分离提供了改进。最后,通过重叠染色体解缠过程,对物体的形状进行评价,找出重叠区域。基于U-Net的CNN模型对染色体二进制掩码取得了97%的Dice相似系数得分。其余的算法在正确分割的染色体数目方面,通过从6678条染色体中正确提取6532条,达到了97.8%的准确率。

Effects of Helicobacter pylori infection on gastric epithelial cell kinetics in patients with chronic renal failure

AIM： To evaluate the effects of Helicobacter pylori infection on gastric epithelial cell kinetics in patients with chronic renal failure （CRF）. METHODS： Forty-four patients were enrolled in this study and divided into four groups with respect to their Helicobacter pylori （H pylori） and CRF status. Groups were labeled as follows： la： normal renal function, H pylori negative （n = 12）, lb： normal renal function, H pylori positive （n = 11）, 2a： CRF, H pylori negative （n = 10）, 2b： CRF, H pylori positive （n = 11）. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy was done in all the patients involved in the study. During endoscopical investigation, antral biopsy specimens were taken from each patient. In order to evaluate the cell apoptosis and proliferation in gastric epithelial cells, Bax and proliferating cell nuclear antigen （PCNA） labeling indexes （LI） were assessed with immunohistochemical staining method. RESULTS： For groups la, lb, 2a, and 2b, mean Bax LI was identified as 34.4±13.7, 44.1±16.5, 46.3±20.5, 60.7±13.8, respectively and mean PCNA LI was identified as 36.2±17.2, 53.6±25.6, 59.5±25.6, 67.2±22, respectively. When the one-way ANOVA test was applied, statistically significant differences were detected between the groups for both Bax LI （P = 0.004 〈0.01） and PCNA LI （P = 0.009 〈0.01）. When groups were compared further in terms of Bax LI and PCNA LI with Tukey＇s HSD test for multiple pairwise comparisons, statistically significant difference was observed only between groups la and 2b （P = 0.006 〈0.01）.CONCLUSION： In gastric epithelial cells, expression of both the pre-apoptotic protein Bax and the proliferation marker PCNA increase with H pylori infection. This increase is more evident in patients with uremia. These findings suggest that uremia accelerates apoptosis and proliferation in gastric epithelial cells.

To investigate the malondialdehyde（MDA） levels,paraoxonase1（PON1） activity and 8-hydroxy 2-deoxyguanosine（8-OHd G） levels in the primary open angle glaucoma（POAG） *** samples from 52 healthy individuals and 53 patients with POAG were analyzed for MDA and 8-OHd G by high-performance liquid chromatography（HPLC） and PON1 by *** data obtained were analyzed *** levels were 10.46±8.4 and 4.70±1.79 μmol; PON1 levels were 121 ±39.55 and 161.62 ±60.22 U/m L; and 8-OHd G values were1.32 ±0.53/10~6 d G and 0.47 ±0.27/10~6 d G in the POAG patients and the control group,*** difference was significant in MDA levels,8-OHd G levels and PON1 activity in POAG patients in comparison with controls（P 〈0.001）.We concluded that the observed increase in MDA and 8-OHd G levels may be correlated with decreased PON1 *** stress plays an important role in glaucoma development.

A case of solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas

We present ultrasound, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging findings in a case with pancreatic solid pseudopapillary tumor and their correlations with histopathology. Ultrasound revealed a hypoechogenic mass, and computed tomography revealed a hypodense mass at the pancreatic head minimally enhanced after intravenous contrast agent administration. Magnetic resonance imaging showed a hypointense mass on unenhanced Tl-weighted images including a hyperintense focus representing the hemorrhage. The lesion was hyperintense on T2- weighted images. On the postcontrast images the lesion showed peripheral thin contrast enhancement in arterial phase and enhanced slightly diffusely in venous and equilibrium phases. The patient underwent elective resection of the mass and pancreatoduodenectomy with jejunostomy tube placement. A final diagnosis of solid pseudopapillary tumor was made histoPathologically. Solid pseudopapillary tumor is a rare pancreatic tumor. It is important to make the diagnosis preoperatively because with an adequate surgical resection the prognosis is good. A multimodalitary approach, especially magnetic resonance imaging can suggest the diagnosis without the need for biopsy.

The influences of 2.5wt%Mn addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the Cu-11.9wt%Al-3.8wt%Ni shape memory alloy（SMA） were studied by means of scanning electron microscopy（SEM）,transmission electron microscopy（TEM）,and differential scanning calorimeter（DSC）.The experimental results show that Mn addition influences considerably the austenite-martensite transformation temperatures and the kind of martensite in the Cu-Al-Ni *** martensitic transformation changes from a mixedβ1→β＇1＋γ＇1 transformation to a singleβ1→β＇1 martensite transformation together with a decrease in transformation *** addition,the observations reveal that the grain size of the Cu-Al-Ni alloy can be controlled with the addition of 2.5wt%Mn and thus its mechanical properties can be *** Cu-Al-Ni-Mn alloy exhibits better mechanical properties with the high ultimate compression strength and ductility of 952 MPa and 15%,*** improvements are attributed to a decrease in grain ***,the hardness decreases from Hv 230 to Hv 140 with the Mn addition.
