Sexual and reproducti.e health(SRH) servi.es are cruci.l for women especi.lly duri.g di.asters, to reduce maternal mortali.y and morbi.i.y from mi.carri.ges, unsafe aborti.ns, and post-aborti.n compli.ati.ns. Thi. study explored the SRH i.terventi.ns provi.ed duri.g di.aster response. A systemati. revi.w was conducted to i.enti.y what menstrual regulati.n(MR), safe aborti.n(SA), and post-aborti.n care(PAC) approaches/i.terventi.ns exi.t to promote resi.i.nce i. the health system i. di.aster setti.gs; what i.terventi.n components were most eff ecti.e; and challenges and opportuni.i.s to meeti.g SRH ri.hts. Fi.e electroni. databases were searched, resulti.g i. 4194 records. Followi.g the screeni.g process, seven publi.ati.ns were i.cluded. The i.terventi.n-related i.formati.n i. each publi.ati.n was assessed based on avai.abi.i.y,accessi.i.i.y, acceptabi.i.y, and quali.y. Two SRH approaches/i.terventi.ns were found. The eff ecti.eness of i.terventi.n components could not be conducted due to the li.i.ed number of relevant studi.s. Challenges were found at faci.i.y and communi.y levels, and opportuni.i.s i.cluded overcomi.g them, maki.g MR, SA, and PAC i.tegral to the mi.i.ati.n phase,and poli.y change to overcome barri.rs related to unaff ordabi.i.y and i.accessi.i.i.y. Recommendati.ns are provi.ed to encourage research and poli.y towards i.provi.g neglected SRH i. di.aster setti.gs to reali.e Sustai.able Development Goal 3 and the Global Strategy and Sendai.Framework's pri.ri.y to promote di.aster-resi.i.nt health systems.

Esti.ati.g safety effecti.eness of roadway i.provements and countermeasures,usi.g cross-secti.nal models,generally requi.es large amounts of data such as road geometri. and traffi.-related characteri.ti.s at road segment levels.These models do not consi.er all confoundi.g crash contri.utory factors such as dri.i.g culture and envi.onmental condi.i.ns at the segment level due to a lack of readi.y avai.able data.Thi. may result i. i.accurate models representi.g actual condi.i.ns at road segment levels,followed by erroneous esti.ati.ns of safety effecti.eness.To mi.i.i.e the effect of not i.cludi.g such vari.bles,thi. study develops a new methodology to esti.ate safety effecti.eness of roadway countermeasures,based on generali.ed li.ear mi.ed models,assumi.g zeroi.flated Poi.son di.tri.uti.n for the response,and adjusti.g for spati.l autocorrelati.n usi.g the spati.l random effect.The Bayesi.n approach,wi.h i.tegrated Nested Laplace Approxi.ati.n,was used to make i.ference on thi. model wi.h computati.nal effi.i.ncy.Results showed that i.corporati.g a spati.l random effect i.to the models provi.ed better model fi. than non-spati.l models;hence,esti.ated safety effecti.eness based on such models i. more accurate.The proposed approach i. a methodologi.al advancement i. traffi. safety,whi.h allows evaluati.n of safety effecti.eness or roadway i.provements when data are not readi.y avai.able.

Crash predi.ti.n models are commonly used for network screeni.g i. hi.hway safety management process,where potenti.l i.pacts of hi.hway safety treatments are quanti.i.d.The Hi.hway Safety Manual(HSM)provi.es crash predi.ti.n models for vari.us types of hi.hway faci.i.i.s that are often referred to as safety performance functi.ns(SPFs).Freeway faci.i.y SPFs i. the HSM were developed usi.g data gathered from the states of Cali.orni.,Mai.e,and Washi.gton.When applyi.g these HSM-default SPFs to a local juri.di.ti.n,the HSM recommends cali.rati.n of HSM-default SPFs or development of juri.di.ti.n-speci.i. SPFs to i.prove the accuracy of crash predi.ti.ns.Thi. study fi.st cali.rated the HSM-default freeway SPFs and for further accuracy and compari.on purposes cali.rati.n functi.ns were developed usi.g Kansas freeway data.The performance of cali.rated HSM-default SPFs was then compared wi.h developed cali.rati.n functi.ns concerni.g the accuracy i. crash predi.ti.n.Freeway faci.i.y cali.rati.n dataset i.cluded521 freeway segments,351 entrance-related speed-change lanes,and 366 exi.-related speed-change lanes.Cumulati.e resi.ual plots and several other goodness-of-fi. measures were used to assess the quali.y of cali.rated HSM-default SPFs and cali.rati.n functi.ns.Cali.rati.n functi.ns fi.ted better compared to cali.rated HSM-default SPFs for Kansas freeway data.The methodology used i. thi. study could be benefi.i.l and practi.ed to any juri.di.ti.n.Cali.rati.n functi.ns could be used as an alternati.e to juri.di.ti.n-speci.i. Nevertheless, the di.tri.t experi.nces peri.di. water stress condi.i.ns due to seasonal preci.i.ati.n patterns and scarci.y of surface water resources.Therefore, management of avai.able groundwater resources i. cri.i.al, to fulfi. potable water requi.ements i. the area. However, exploi.ati.n of groundwater should be carri.d out together wi.h arti.i.i.l rechargi.g i. order to mai.tai. the long term sustai.abi.i.y of water resources. i. thi. study, a Gi. approach was used to deli.eate potenti.l arti.i.i.l recharge si.es i. Ambalantota area wi.hi. Ai. To esti.ate prevalence and phenotypi. associ.ti.ns of selected i.flammatory bowel di.ease(i.D)-associ.ted geneti. vari.nts among Sri.Lankan pati.nts. METHODS A case study of hi.tologi.ally confi.med ulcerati.e coli.i.(UC) or Crohn's di.ease(CD) pati.nts wi.h ≥ 1 year di.ease durati.n, who were compared to unrelated, gender-matched, healthy i.di.i.uals as controls, was conducted at four major centers i. Sri.Lanka. Phenotypi. data of the cases were obtai.ed and all parti.i.ants were genotyped for 16 selected geneti. vari.nts: i.12 B :rs1045431, i.23 R :rs11805303, ARPC2 :rs12612347, i.GM :rs13361189, i.26/i.22 :rs1558744, CDH1 :rs1728785, i.10 :rs3024505, FCGR2 A :rs3737240, PTGER4 :rs4613763, i.17 REL/Pi.3 :rs5771069, HNF4 a :rs6017342, STAT3 :rs744166, SMURF1 :rs7809799, LAMB1 :rs886774, HLA-DRB5, DQA1, DRB1, DRA :rs9268853, MST1, UBA7, and APEH :rs9822268. The genotypes of all vari.nts were i. Hardy-Wei.berg Equi.i.ri.m(P > 10^(-3)). To account for multi.le hypothesi. testi.g, P-values i.ered si.ni.i.ant.RESULTS A total of 415 pati.nts and 465 controls were recrui.ed. Out of the si.gle nucleoti.e polymorphi.ms(SNPs) tested, the majori.y were not associ.ted wi.h i.D i. Sri.Lankans. Si.ni.i.ant posi.i.e associ.ti.ns were noted between rs886774(LAMB1-gene) and UC(odds rati.(OR) = 1.42, P = 0.001). UC pati.nts wi.h rs886774 had mi.d di.ease(OR = 1.66, P i.ed i. remi.si.n(OR = 1.48, P i.i.e associ.ti.n was noted between rs10045431(i. 12 B gene) and upper gastroi.testi.al i.volvement i. CD(OR = 4.76, P = 0.002). CONCLUSi.N Thi. confi.ms the heterogenei.y of alleli. mutati.ns i. South Asi.ns compared to Caucasi.ns. Most SNPs and di.ease associ.ti.ns reported here have not been descri.ed i. South Asi.ns.

The Si.aMoP approach plans colli.i.n-free paths for vehi.les based on the pri.ci.le of shortest path by dynami.ally changi.g the vehi.les’ paths,traveli.g speeds or wai.i.g ti.es,whi.hever gi.es the shortest traveli.g ti.e. i. i.tegrates path planni.g,colli.i.n avoi.ance and moti.n planni.g i.to a comprehensi.e model and opti.i.es the vehi.les’ path and moti.n to mi.i.i.e the completi.n ti.e of a set of tasks. Fi.e case studi.s,i.e.,head-on colli.i.n avoi.ance,catchi.g-up colli.i.n avoi.ance,buffer node generati.n and colli.i.n avoi.ance,pri.ri.ybased moti.n coordi.ati.n,and safety di.tance based planni.g,are presented. The results demonstrated that the method can effecti.ely plan the path and moti.n for a team of autonomous vehi.les or AGVs,and solve the problems of traffi. congesti.n and colli.i.n under vari.us condi.i.ns.

Background: Wri.kles, pi.mented spots, and roughness are representati.e parameters reflecti.g faci.l ski. agi.g. Sulci.cuti. connecti.g to folli.ular ori.i.es frequently form peri.olli.ular cracks, whi.h joi. together adjacent sulci. Thi. folli.le-sulcus-crack complex (FSCC) i. exacerbated by dehydrati.n. Purpose: Although dehydrati.n i. associ.ted wi.h faci.l ski. agi.g, FSCC’s i.pli.ati.ns i. faci.l ski. agi.g remai. unresolved. Method: We measured faci.l ski. parameters i. 1999 and 2010 i. 108 Japanese women, and i. 2006 and 2016 i. 182 Chi.ese women. We addressed whether expansi.n of FSCC i. associ.ted wi.h other ski. agi.g parameters. We also exami.ed whether ski. moi.turi.er can reverse the expanded FSCC. Results: i. both cli.i.al studi.s, FSCC severi.y as well as wri.kles, spots, and roughness si.ni.i.antly deteri.rated wi.h age. Notably, FSCC si.ni.i.antly i.creased as early as i. subjects i. thei. 20s, whereas wri.kles, spots, and roughness became conspi.uous i. those i. thei. 40s or older. Moreover, subjects wi.h more severe FSCC i. the i.i.i.l measurement exhi.i.ed si.ni.i.antly worse wri.kles, spots, and roughness i. the second measurement a decade later. Dehydrati.n was si.ni.i.antly correlated wi.h expanded FSCC. Furthermore, FSCC expansi.n was reversed after appropri.te moi.turi.ati.n by dai.y appli.ati.n of Galactomyces ferment fi.trate (GFF)-contai.i.g ski.care product (SK-i. Ski. Power Cream) for 4 weeks i. 37 women. Conclusi.n: The expanded FSCC i. li.ely to be an early i.di.ator of faci.l ski. agi.g.
