Hyperfluorescent organic light-emitting diodes(HF-OLEDs)approach has made it possible to achieve excellent device performance and color purity with low roll-off using noble-metal-free pure organic *** significant progress,the performance of HF-OLEDs is still unsatisfactory due to the existence of a competitive dexter energy transfer(DET)*** this contribution,two boron dipyrromethene(BODIPY)-based donor-acceptor emitters(BDP-C-Cz and BDP-N-Cz)with hybridized local and charge transfer characteristics(HLCT)are introduced in the HF-OLED to suppress the exciton loss by dexter mechanism,and a breakthrough performance with low-efficiency roll-off(0.3%)even at high brightness(1000 cd m^(-2))is *** is demonstrated that the energy loss via the DET channel can be suppressed in HF-OLEDs utilizing the HLCT emitter,as the excitons from the dark triplet state of such emitters are funneled to its emissive singlet state following the hot-exciton *** developed HF-OLED device has realized a good maximum external quantum efficiency(EQE)of 19.25%at brightness of 1000 cd m^(-2)and maximum luminance over 60000 cd m^(-2),with an emission peak at 602 nm and Commission International de L'Eclairage(CIE)coordinates(0.57,0.41),which is among the best-achieved results in solution-processed *** work presents a viable methodology to suppress energy loss and achieve high performance in the HF-OLEDs.

Pronounced effect of ZnTe nanoinclusions on thermoelectric properties of Cu_(2-x) Se chalcogenides

Metal chalcogenides especially Cu2-x Se has gained much attention in thermoelectric community due to its complex crystal structure and superionic behavior. Here, we report a facile method to improve the thermoelectric efficiency by introducing Zn Te nanoinclusions into the matrix of Cu2-x Se. As a result, a substantial improvement of 32% in electrical conductivity of Cu2-x Se-Zn Te composite is observed. The increase in electrical conductivity is at the expense of Seebeck coefficient, which slightly decreases the power factor of the composite samples than that of pure Cu2-x Se. Furthermore, the introduction of secondary phase facilitates in declining the total thermal conductivity of Cu2-x Se-Zn Te composite up to 34% by suppressing the lattice thermal contributions. Thus, the moderate power factor and lower thermal conductivity values result in an improved figure of merit(z T) value of ~0.40 in mid-range temperature(750 K) for Cu2-x Se-Zn Te composite with 10 wt.% of Zn Te, which is about 40% higher than that of its pure counterpart. Hence, it is believed that the incorporation of Zn Te nanoinclusions in the matrix of Cu2-x Se may be an important route to improve the thermoelectric properties of Cu2-x Se based compounds.

Zn1-xNixTe thin films with different composition(x=0.0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20) were deposited on glass substrate by electron beam evaporation technique followed by its characterization using advanced structural and optical analysis techniques. Structural properties of the prepared thin films were studied by X-ray diffraction(XRD). The XRD patterns revealed that the binary compounds transformed into a ternary compound with cubic structure having preferred orientation along the c-direction with(111) planes. Composition analysis of the films was determined by energy dispersive analysis of X-rays(EDAX) and found to be in agreement with the precursor composition. Optical properties such as extinction coefficient(k) and band gap energy of these films were examined by using a spectroscopic ellipsometer. It was found that the extinction coefficient(k) increased with the addition of Ni content in the alloy. In comparison, the band gap energy was also determined by using transmission spectra and found to be agreed with that of the ellipsometric results. These analyses confirm that the band gap energy decreases with the increase of Ni content in the alloy.

This study involves mathematical simulation model such as in vitro-in vivo correlation(IVIVC) development for various extended release formulations of nimesulide loaded hydroxypropylmethylcellulose(HPMC) microparticles(M1,M2 and M3 containing 1,2,and 3 g HPMC,respectively and 1 g drug in each) having variable release *** vitro dissolution data of these formulations were correlated to their relevant in vivo absorption profiles followed by predictability worth analysis of these Level A *** was used as control formulation to validate developed formulations and their respective *** regression coefficients of IVIVC plots for M1,M2,M3 and Nimaran were 0.834 9,0.831 2,0.927 2 and 0.898 1,*** internal prediction error for all formulations was within limits,i.e.,und for controlled release nimesulide loaded HPMC floating M3 *** other words,this mathematical simulation model is best fit for biowaiver studies which involves study parameters as those adopted for M3 because the value of its IVIVC regression coefficient is the closest to 1 as compared to M1 and M2.

Photoluminescence and structural analysis of wurtzite(ZnO)1-x(V2O5)x composite

This paper demonstrates the structural, vibrational and photoluminescence characteristics of(ZnO)(VO)(x = 0, 3, 6 and 9 mol%) composites semiconductor synthesized by using the solid state reaction method. X-ray diffraction(XRD) studies show that(ZnO)(VO)composites have the poly crystalline wurtzite structure of hexagonal Zn O. It is found from the XRD results that the lattice constants and the crystallite size increase while the dislocation density decreases with increase in doping concentration. The existence of E1(TO) and E2(high) Raman modes show that the Zn O still preserve wurtzite structure after doping vanadium oxide, which is in agreement with XRD results. Room temperature photoluminescence(PL) exhibit near band edge and broad deep level emission while indicating the suppression of deep level emission with the incorporation of VOup to a certain concentration(x ue shift of the NBE emission.
