The high prevalence of diabetes has become a major public health issue worldwide[1], particularly in middle-and low-income countries[2]. The prevalence of diabetes in China, the largest developing country,has more than quadrupled in recent decades, and many cases of diabetes are undiagnosed[3]. Ti3C2Tx,a most studied member of MXene family,shows promise as a candidate electrode for pseudocapacitor due to its electronic conductivity and hydrophilic ***,the unsatisfactory yield of Ti3C2Tx few-layer flakes significantly restricted it in real ***,we proposed a simple solution to boost the yield of Ti3C2Tx few-layer flakes by decreasing precursor *** using the small500 mesh Ti3AlC2 powders as raw material,high yield of 65%was successfully ***,the asreceived small flakes also exhibit an enhanced pseudocapacior performance owing to their excellent electrical conductivity,expanded inte rlayer space and more O content on the *** work not only sheds light on the cost effective mass production of Ti3C2Tx few-layer flakes,but also provides an efficient solution for the design of MXene electrodes with high pseudocapacior performance.

Optical storage devices, such as compact disk （CD） and digital versatile disc （DVD）, provide us a platform for cheap and compact information storage media. Nowadays, information we obtain every day keeps increasing, and therefore how to increase the storage capacity becomes an important issue. In this paper, we reported a method for the increase of the capacity of optical storage devices using metallic nano-structures. Metallic nano-structures exhibit strong variations in their reflectance and/or transmittance spectra accompanied with dramatic optical phase modulation due to localized surface plasmon polariton resonances. Two samples were fabricated for the demonstration of storage capacity enhancement through amplitude modulation and phase modulation, respectively. This work is promising for high-density optical storage.

All-inorganic CsPbI_(2)Br perovskite with suitable bandgap and excellent thermal stability has been reported as the most promising candidate for efficient perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, the high annealing temperature (> 250 ℃) and poor stability of α-CsPbI_(2)Br greatly limit the future application in photovoltaic field. Herein, a facile method is reported to prepare α-CsPbI_(2)Br perovskite film with high stability at low temperature (70 ℃) by incorporating a small amount of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the precursor solutions. The devices exhibit reproducible photovoltaic performance with a champion efficiency up to 15.16%, along with the excellent stability, maintaining more than 80% of its initial efficiency after stored in ambient condition for 600 h without any encapsulation. Most importantly, the method enables fabrication of semitransparent CsPbI_(2)Br PSCs with a PCE of 6.76%, as well as an average visible transparency (AVT) of 25.38%. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt to apply CsPbI_(2)Br to the semitransparent solar cells.

Effect of different mulch materials on winter wheat production in desalinized soil in Heilonggang region of North China

Freshwater shortage is the main problem in Heilonggang lower-lying plain, while a considerable amount of underground saline water is available. We wanted to find an effective way to use the brackish water in winter wheat production. Surface mulch has significant effect in reducing evaporation and decreasing soil salinity level. This research was aimed at comparing the effect of different mulch materials on winter wheat production. The experiment was conducted during 2002-2003 and 2003-2004. Four treatments were setup：（1） no mulch, （2） mulch with plastic film, （3） mulch with corn straw, （4） mulch with concrete slab between the rows. The result indicated that concrete mulch and straw mulch was effective in conserving soil water compared to plastic film mulch which increased soil temperature. Concrete mulch decreases surface soil salinity better in comparison to other mulches used. Straw mulch conserved more soil water but decreased wheat grain yield probably due to low temperature. Concrete mulch had similar effect with plastic film mulch on promoting winter wheat development and growth.

We report on the synthesis of two acentric and one centrosymmetric Zn metal-organic complexes with 3-tetrazolenethyl pyridine spacers obtained in situ by hydrothermal routes.X-ray diffraction structural analysis reveals that they have the same equivalent nodes but with dissimilar *** two acentric frameworks[Zn(Tzmp)Cl]n(1)and([Zn(Tzmp)Br]n(2),HTzmp=3-tetrazolemethyl pyridine)are isomorphism which exhibit an acentric 3D framework with(10,3)-b net called"ths",while the centro symmetric complex([Zn(Tzmp)N3]n(3))features a distinctive 2D sheet with Shubnikov hexagonal plane ***-luminescent studies suggest the ligand-field strength of coordinated negative ions(Cl^->Br^->N3^-)has ordered adjusting effects on the emission *** second harmonic generation(SHG)measurement shows that compounds 1 and 2 are nonlinear optically active,with SHG responses being 2/3 and half of the standard potassium dihvdrogen phosphate(KDP),respectively.

Thermal barrier coatings（TBCs） usually exhibit an uncertain lifetime owing to their scattering mechanical properties and severe service conditions. To consider these uncertainties, a reliability assessment method is proposed based on failure probability analysis. First, a limit state equation is established to demarcate the boundary between failure and safe regions, and then the failure probability is calculated by the integration of a probability density function in the failure area according to the first- or second-order *** is shown that the parameters related to interfacial failure follow a weibull distribution in two types of TBC. The interfacial failure of TBCs is significantly affected by the thermal mismatch of material properties and the temperature drop in service.

Currently, the application of synthetic biology to artificially manipulate and utilize organisms for the synthesis of desired products such as nanomaterials with excellent fluorescence properties is attracting considerable attention. However, it is still difficult to obtain designed products efficiently due to insufficient knowledge of the biosynthetic mechanisms. The thioredoxin(TRX) and glutathione(GSH) pathways are generally conserved thiol-reductase systems that protect organisms from oxidative stress and are involved in selenium(Se) metabolism. In this study, we revealed the pivotal role of cytoplasmic TRX pathway in regulating the metabolism of Na_(2)SeO_(3) during the live-cell synthesis of cadmium-selenium quantum dots(Cd Se QDs) in Saccharomyces cerevisiae by regulating the expression level of genes related to TRX pathway and measuring the intracellular content of selenocysteine(Se Cys). The determination of Se Cys metabolism in yeast with GSH pathway-related genes deleted demonstrated that the TRX pathway played a more significant role in Se Cys metabolism than GSH pathway. A 6.4-fold enhancement in the synthetic yield of Cd Se QDs was achieved through the overexpression of TRX pathway-related genes,improvement of synthetic procedure, and supplementation of GSH based on the understanding of biological *** the mechanism of CdSe QDs live-cell synthesis facilitates the precise manipulation of biological processes for the synthesis of inorganic nanomaterials.

Dear Editor Pseudomyogenic hemangioendothelioma(PHE)is a newly recognized subtype of hemangioendothelioma characterized by the presence of fibrohistiocytic and myoid cells arranged in a fibroma-like or dermatofibroma-like pattern[1].This rare type of tumor was first named by Hornick and Fletcher[2]and categorized as the novel soft tissue tumor classification system of the World Health Organization in 2013[3].Prior to this,it was referred to as fibroma-like variant of epithelioid sarcoma(ES)and epithelioid sarcoma-like hemangioendothelioma[4].
