Background:Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)is an endocrine disorder that occurs in women of child-bearing age.Moreover,PCOS patients have decreased pregnancy rates and clomiphene citrate resistance.The traditional Chinese medicine formula Kun-Tai-1S(KT1S),consisting of the seahorse species hippocampus,has been reported to elicit therapeutic effects in patients with PCOS.However,given the limited resources and global demand for wild hippocampus,whether KT1S with or without hippocampus can elicit similar therapeutic effects has not been confirmed.Methods:KT1S and Kun-Tai-1A(KT1A,KT1S without dry hippocampus)were used to treat a letrozole-induced rat model of PCOS with an established disease.The serum levels of testosterone,luteinizing hormone,anti-Müllerian hormone,and estradiol were determined,the luteinizing hormone/follicle-stimulating hormone ratio was determined,and the ovarian pathology was evaluated.Results:Similar to the therapeutic effects of cyproterone acetate,both the KT1S and KT1A treatments reduced the body weight and ovarian and uterine indices in the rats with PCOS.The serum levels of testosterone,anti-Müllerian hormone,and luteinizing hormone and the luteinizing hormone/follicle-stimulating hormone ratio were significantly lower in the KT1S and KT1A treatment groups compared to the model group(Png observed in the ovaries.Notably,there was no obvious difference in the disease outcomes between the KT1S and KT1A-treated groups.Network pharmacology analysis revealed that 4’,7-dihydroxyflavanone,sinpemine A,quercetin,8-isopentenyl-kaempferol,and luteolin in KT1A may promote estrogen signaling;furthermore,the nitric oxide regulation pathway is also closely involved.Conclusion:KT1A and KT1S treatmen

Objective: This paper mainly discusses and summarises the potential issues of pollution caused by the Mineral elements, Mercury, Lead and Arsenic, its possible impacts on the human beings and the suggested solutions. Methods: This paper is prepared by reviewing the latest academic literatures. Result: First, this article discusses two aspects including the effects of Mercury, Lead and Arsenic on the Chinese herbal medicine and the potential issues of causing the environmental pollution. And then further study its toxicity effects and the side impacts on the human bodies in order to realize the actual circumstances people are encountering nowadays. This paper will also the corresponding its treatment method of reviews. Hope this will provide a valuable reference. Conclusion: Theses issues caused by the Mineral elements are prominent nowadays, thus the ongoing researches on the impacts of pollution and the possible solutions are regarded as highly valued in order to conserve the natural environment and meanwhile safeguard the well beings of people and the future offspring.

＜正＞A novel trypsin-chymotrypsin inhibitor,designated Mungoin,with both antifungal and antibacterial activity,and exhibiting a molecular mass of 10.0 kDa in SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis,was isolated from mung bean（Phaseolus mungo）seeds by a combination of extraction,ammonium sulfate precipitation,ion exchange chromatography on CM-Sephadex and high performance liquid chromatography（HPLC）on SP-Toyopearl.The isoelectric point was estimated to be 9.8 by isoelectric focusing.The 18 N-terminal amino acid sequences were determined to be EMPGKPACLDTDDFCYKP,demonstrating somewhat resemblance to those other protease inhibitors and inhibitor precursors from leguminous plants,it exerted potent antifungal action toward a variety of species including Physalospora piricola,Mycosphaerella arachidicola,Botrytis cinerea,Pythium aphanidermatum,Sclerotium rolfsii and Fusarium oxysporum,as well as showing antibacterial action against Staphylococcus aureus.In addition, this novel plant protease inhibitor displayed anti-proliferative activity toward tumor cells.The present findings represent a contribution towards a better understanding of leguminous peptidic protease inhibitors.

Objective: This paper mainly discusses the Allelopathic potential of Wheat. Methods: This paper is prepared by reviewing the latest academic literatures. Result: The green revolution in the 1960s caused an increase in the demand for food. The agricultural sector and farmers tended to spend more time on the agricultural work but the crop yield was suppressed by the weeds. Hence, the usage of herbicide insecticides, fungicides and others chemicals had been increased. Although herbicides are efficient for weed controls, the continuous uses had gradually stimulated the weeds developing an effecttive resistance to the chemicals. Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is known as allelopathic against crops and weeds. Allelopathy of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) has been extensively examined for its potentials in weeds management. The allelopathic activity of wheat has been attributed to hydroxamic acids, the related compounds and phenolic acids. Therefore, it could effectively reduce herbicide uses in order to maintain an eco-friendly environment and a cost-effective weed control.

Current developments in natural orifices transluminal endoscopic surgery:An evidence-based review

Tremendous advances have been made in recent years addressing the key obstacles to safe performance and introduction of human natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (NOTES). Animal studies have focused on identifying optimal solutions to these obstacles, in particular methods of creating transluminal access,safe closure of the point of access, and development of a multitasking platform with dedicated instruments. Whether the performance data generated from these animal studies can be reproduced in humans has yet to be determined. Reports of human NOTES procedures are emerging, and the possibility of accomplishing human NOTES based on existing technology has been demonstrated. However, dedicated platforms and devices are still lacking to allow for pure NOTES procedures, and whether NOTES can deliver the postulated benef its of earlier recovery and improved cosmesis remains uncertain.

m.3243A>G MT-TL1 mutation is the most common mitochondrial DNA mutation that results in a wide spectrum of disorders in a maternally inherited pedigree. In adult patients, many present with symptoms and signs indistinguishable from acquired diseases and the correct diagnosis is often delayed after many years. Nevertheless, clues suggesting m.3243A>G usually exist early in the disease course but are only realized late. These hints, from the evolution of symptoms and signs, family background, investigation results, or a combination of these, enable the physician to make the correct diagnosis early, which is important for appropriate treatment and better patient care. As with other inheritable diseases, genetic counselling should be offered regarding the disease management, inheritance mode, recurrence risk, usefulness and limitations of genetic testing and reproductive options.
