In recent years, proteomics has played a key role in identifying changes in protein levels in plant hosts upon infection by pathogenic organisms and in characterizing cellular and extracellular virulence and pathogenicity factors produced by pathogens. Proteomics offers a constantly evolving set of novel techniques to study all aspects of protein structure and function. Proteomics aims to find out the identity and amount of each and every protein present in a cell and actual function mediating specific cellular processes. Structural proteomics elucidates the development and application of experimental approaches to define the primary, secondary and tertiary structures of proteins, while functional proteomics refers to the development and application of global (proteome wide or system-wide) experimental approaches to assess protein function. A detail understanding of plant defense response using successful combination of proteomic techniques and other high throughput techniques of cell biology, biochemistry as well as genomics is needed for practical application to secure and stabilize yield of many crop plants. This review starts with a brief introduction to gel- and non gel-based proteomic techniques followed by the basics of plant-pathogen interaction, the use of proteomics in recent pasts to decipher the mysteries of plant-pathogen interaction, and ends with the future prospects of this technology.

As we set into the second half of 2022,the world is still recovering from the two-year COVID-19 ***,over the past three months,the outbreak of the Monkeypox Virus(MPV)has led to fifty-two thousand confirmed cases and over one hundred *** caused the World Health Organisation to declare the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern(PHEIC).If this outbreak worsens,we could be looking at the Monkeypox virus causing the next global *** Monkeypox affects the human skin,the symptoms can be captured with regular *** samples of these images can be used as a training dataset for machine learning-based detection *** a regular camera to capture the skin image of the infected person and running it against computer vision models is *** this research,we use deep learning to diagnose monkeypox from skin lesion *** a publicly available dataset,we tested the dataset on five pre-trained deep neural networks:GoogLeNet,Places365-GoogLeNet,SqueezeNet,AlexNet and *** was done to choose the best *** metrics such as accuracy,precision,recall,f1-score and AUC were *** the above models,ResNet18 was able to obtain the highest accuracy of 99.49%.The modified models obtained validation accuracies above 95%.The results prove that deep learning models such as the proposed model based on ResNet-18 can be deployed and can be crucial in battling the monkeypox *** the used networks are optimized for efficiency,they can be used on performance limited devices such as smartphones with *** addition of explainable artificial intelligence techniques LIME and GradCAM enables visual interpretation of the prediction made,helping health professionals using the model.

Vasovagal syncope is a common cause of recurrent syncope. Clinically, these episodes may present as an isolated event with an identifiable trigger, or manifest as a cluster of recurrent episodes warranting intensive evaluation. The mechanism of vasovagal syncope is incompletely understood. Diagnostic tools such as implantable loop recorders may facilitate the identification of patients with arrhythmia mimicking benign vasovagal syncope. This review focuses on the management of vasovagal syncope and discusses the non-pharmacological and pharmacological treatment options, especially the use of midodrine and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. The role of cardiac pacing may be meaningful for a subgroup of patients who manifest severe bradycardia or asystole but this still remains controversial.

Background and aims:Barrett’s esophagus(BE)and colorectal neoplasms share similar risk *** studies have shown variable prevalence of colon polyps in patients with *** aims were to determine the prevalence and incidence of colon polyps in patients with BE,compared to those without ***:In this case-control study,the study group included patients,aged 50–75 years,with biopsy-proven BE,who underwent colonoscopy at Cleveland Clinic from January 2002 to December *** control group consisted of age-and sex-matched patients who underwent colonoscopy and also an endoscopy with no evidence of BE during the same time *** criteria for both groups were family-or personal previous history of colon cancer or polyps,prior colonic resection,inflammatory bowel disease and familial polyposis *** demographics,comorbidities,medication use and endoscopic and colonoscopic details were collected,including biopsy ***:A total of 519 patients were included in the study;173 patients with BE in the study group and 346 without BE in the control *** age at index colonoscopy was 618 years and 75%of patients were *** index colonoscopy,patients with BE were more likely to have polyps than controls(45%vs 32%,respectively;P=0.003).Patients underwent between one and five colonoscopies during the *** multivariate analysis—after adjusting for age,gender and diabetes—patients with BE were 80%more likely to have any type of polyp,and 50%more likely to have adenomas found during ***:Patients with BE had higher prevalence and incidence of colon *** has important clinical implications for screening and surveillance in BE patients.

Quality semen production remains the main focus and objective of semen processing laboratories throughout the world. Bacterial and other microbial contaminants affect the semen quality and hence the fertility, and also lead to reproductive disorders as well as lower conception rates and increased embryonic mortality, abortion and other complications in females. Microbial contamination affects the semen adversely, by exerting direct spermicidal effect, formation of reactive oxygen species, toxin production, adherence with spermatozoa, deriving nutrients and oxygen from the medium and thus competing with spermatozoa for the factors of growth and normal functioning. Despite hygienic measures, several ubiquitous and opportunistic microbes find their ways into semen during collection, processing, and storage of semen, and survive even during freezing. Stringent sanitary precautions are therefore required at every step of collecting semen and its processing. Preputial cavity is considered as main source of semen contaminating microorganisms. Flushing the preputial cavity with normal saline or any suitable liquid combination with antimicrobial activity, prior to semen collection reduces the microbial load and thereby improves the semen quality.

Right coronary artery (RCA) communicating to coronary sinus (CS) resulting in aneurysmal dilatation of RCA is a rare congenital anomaly, usually presenting late with complication of left to right shunt and volume overload. We report a case of a 53 years old female presenting with dyspnea on exertion, orthopnea and angina. Echocardiography and computed tomography are suggestive of a fistulous communication of RCA to CS with aneurysm of RCA. Patient was treated surgically and is asymptomatic after three years of follow up.
