Knockdown of Decoy Receptor 3 Impairs Growth and Invasiveness of Hepatocellular Carcinoma Cell Line of HepG2

Background：Decoy receptor 3 （DcR3） binds to Fas ligand （FasL） and inhibits FasL-induced *** receptor is overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC）,and it is associated with the growth and metastatic spread of ***3 holds promises as a new target for the treatment of HCC,but little is known regarding the molecular mechanisms underlying the oncogenic properties of *** present work,therefore,examined the role of DcR3 in regulating the growth and invasive property of liver cancer cell ***：HepG2 cells were stably transfected with lentivirus-based short hairpin RNA vector targeting *** the knockdown of DcR3 was confirmed,cell proliferation,clone formation,ability of migrating across transwell membrane,and wound healing were assessed in *** metalloproteinase-9 （MMP 9） and vascular epithelial growth factor （VEGF）-C and D expressions of the DcR3 knockdown were also *** between multiple groups were done using one-way analysis of variance （ANOVA）,while pairwise comparisons were performed using Student＇s t test.P 〈 0.05 was regarded statistically ***：DcR3 was overexpressed in HepG2 compared to other HCC cell lines and normal hepatocyte *** knockdown of DcR3 slowed down the growth of HepG2 （P 〈 0.05） and reduced the number of clones formed by 50% compared to those without DcR3 knockdown （P 〈 0.05）.The knockdown also reduced the migration of HepG2 across transwell matrix membrane by five folds compared to the control （P 〈 0.05） and suppressed the closure of scratch wound （P 〈 0.05）.In addition,the messenger RNA levels of MMP 9,VEGF-C,and VEGF-D were significantly suppressed by DcR3 knockdown by 90% when compared with the mock control （P 〈 0.05）.Conclusions：Loss of DcR3 impaired the growth and invasive property of HCC cell line of *** DcR3 may be a potential therapeutic approach for the treatment of HCC.

Several promising plasma biomarker proteins,such as amyloid-β(Aβ),tau,neurofilament light chain,and glial fibrillary acidic protein,are widely used for the diagnosis of neurodegenerative ***,little is known about the long-term stability of these biomarker proteins in plasma samples stored at-80°*** aimed to explore how storage time would affect the diagnostic accuracy of these biomarkers using a large *** samples from 229 cognitively unimpaired individuals,encompassing healthy controls and those experiencing subjective cognitive decline,as well as 99 patients with cognitive impairment,comprising those with mild cognitive impairment and dementia,were acquired from the Sino Longitudinal Study on Cognitive Decline *** samples were stored at-80°C for up to 6 years before being used in this *** results showed that plasma levels of Aβ42,Aβ40,neurofilament light chain,and glial fibrillary acidic protein were not significantly correlated with sample storage ***,the level of total tau showed a negative correlation with sample storage ***,in individuals without cognitive impairment,plasma levels of total protein and tau phosphorylated protein threonine 181(p-tau181)also showed a negative correlation with sample storage *** was not observed in individuals with cognitive ***,we speculate that the diagnostic accuracy of plasma p-tau181 and the p-tau181 to total tau ratio may be influenced by sample storage ***,caution is advised when using these plasma biomarkers for the identification of neurodegenerative diseases,such as Alzheimer's ***,in cohort studies,it is important to consider the impact of storage time on the overall results.

Leader-follower: Human-centered intention-guided controller for novel SuperLimb with application to load-carrying scenarios

Supernumerary robotic arms(SuperLimb) are a new type of wearable robot that works closely with humans as a third hand to augment human operation capability. Accurate conveyance of wearers' intentions, allocation of roles, and humancentered interaction considerations are the key points in the process of human–SuperLimb collaboration. This paper proposes a human-centered intention-guided leader–follower controller that relies on the dynamic modeling of SuperLimb with application to load-carrying scenarios. The proposed leader–follower controller takes the human as the leader and the SuperLimb as the follower, achieving effective information communication, autonomous coordination, and good force compliance between SuperLimb, humans, and the environment under human safety assurance. First, the human–SuperLimb dynamic system is modeled to achieve force interaction with the environment and wearer. Second, to achieve the precise intention extraction of humans, pose data from five visual odometry sensors are fused to capture the human state, the generalized position, the velocity of hands, and the surface electromyography signals from two myoelectric bracelets sensors are processed to recognize the natural hand gestures during load-carrying scenarios by a designed Swin transformer network. Then, based on the real-time distance detection between human and mechanical limbs, the security assurance and force-compliant interaction of the human–SuperLimb system are realized. Finally, the human hand muscle intention recognition, human–robot safety strategy verification,and comparative load-carrying experiments with and without the proposed method are conducted on the SuperLimb *** showed that the task parameters are well estimated to produce more reasonable planning trajectories, and SuperLimb could well understand the wearer's intentions to switch different SuperLimb actions. Research on the Algorithm of Avionic Device Fault Diagnosis Based on Fuzzy Expert System

Based on the fuzzy expert system fault diagnosis theory, the knowledge base architecture and inference engine algorithm are put forward for avionic device fault diagnosis. The knowledge base is constructed by fault query network, of which the basic ele- ment is the test-diagnosis fault unit. Every underlying fault cause＇s membership degree is calculated using fuzzy product inference algorithm, and the fault answer best selection algorithm is developed, to which the deep knowledge is applied. Using some examples the proposed algorithm is analyzed for its capability of synthesis diagnosis and its improvement compared to greater membership degree first principle.

Efficient and stable photocathodes with versatility are of significance in photoassisted lithium-ion batteries (PLIBs), while there is always a request on fast carrier transport in electrochemical active photocathodes. Present work proposes a general approach of creating bulk heterojunction to boost the carrier mobility of photocathodes by simply laser assisted embedding of plasmonic nanocrystals. When employed in PLIBs, it was found effective for synchronously enhanced photocharge separation and transport in light charging process. Additionally, experimental photon spectroscopy, finite difference time domain method simulation and theoretical analyses demonstrate that the improved carrier dynamics are driven by the plasmonic-induced hot electron injection from metal to TiO2, as well as the enhanced conductivity in TiO2 matrix due to the formation of oxygen vacancies after Schottky contact. Benefiting from these merits, several benchmark values in performance of TiO2-based photocathode applied in PLIBs are set, including the capacity of 276 mAh g(-1 ) at 0.2 A g(-1 )under illumination, photoconversion efficiency of 1.276% at 3 A g(-1 ), less capacity and Columbic efficiency loss even through 200 cycles. These results exemplify the potential of the bulk heterojunction strategy in developing highly efficient and stable photoassisted energy storage systems.

Observations and Modeling of Ice Water Content in a Mixed-Phase Cloud System

The ice water content(IWC) distribution in a mixed-phase cloud system was investigated using Cloud-Sat data,aircraft measurements,and the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF) *** precipitation and IWC were in general agreement with rain gauge,sat-ellite,and aircraft *** cloud case was char-acterized by a predominant cold layer and high IWC throughout the cloud-development and precipitation *** CloudSat-retrieved products suggested that the IWC was distributed from 4.0 to 8.0 km,with the maximum values(up to 0.5 g m-3) at 5.0-6.0 km at the earlymature stage of cloud *** IWC(up to 0.8 g m-3) was also detected by airborne probes at 4.2 and 3.6 km at the late-mature *** WRF model simulation re-vealed that the predominant riming facilitated rapid ac-cumulation of high IWC at 3.0-6.0 km.

This paper investigates the fixed-time synchronization problem of complex networks.A novel switching controller is proposed to solve the *** designed controller in this paper only needs intermittently to pin a few of nodes,which could reduce the control time and save the system’s ***,compared with the existing control methods for the fixed-time synchronization,the novel controller does not use the sign function,which could avoid the chattering *** constructing a Lyapunov function and designing a comparison system,some sufficient conditions are obtained to achieve the fixed-time ***,the numerical simulations could verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed control approaches.

Inspired by Grape Seed and Wine: Tannic Acid as a Modified Coating for Fabricating Highly Flexible, Transparent and Conductive Film

The application of transparent conductive films in flexible electronics has shown promising prospects recently. Tannic acid(TA) was successfully applied to modifying the surface of polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) to fhbricate highly flexible, transparent and conductive Ag nanowires(NWs) based films. TA modification transformed the PDMS surface from hydrophobicity into hydrophilicity without decreasing the transparence. A sheet resistance(Rs) of 80 Ω/cm^2 with an optical transmittance of 94% was achieved, which was superior to that of indium tin oxide(ITO) films. More importantly, the TA layer enhanced the interaction between Ag NWs and the PDMS substrate. The Ag NWs films on TA modified PDMS substrate exhibited excellent stability in Rs when subjected to a bending test.
