Prevalence and outcomes of neonates with severe COVID-19:An observational study at Children’s Hospital 1 in Ho Chi Minh City,Vietnam

Objective:to evaluate the impact of the severe COVID-19 pandemic on neonates and develop strategies to improve their ***:We conducted an observational cross-sectional study at Children's Hospital 1(CH1)from July 25,2021,to May 31,*** neonates who had fever or respiratory symptoms or were born from mothers with COVID-19 and had a positive Rt-PCR SARS-CoV-2 result would be *** classified neonates with COVID-19 into 2 groups:mild/moderate and severe for *** between groups were analyzed using Fisher's exact test/Chi-square test for categorical variables and Student's t-test/Wilcoxon Rank Sum test for continuous ***:this study included 88 newborns who had positive Rt-PCR SARS-CoV-2 *** severity COVID-19 rate among neonatal cases was found to be 13.6%(12/88),with a corresponding mortality rate of 1.1%(1/88).All severe cases showed lung abnormalities as evident on chest X-ray *** addition to respiratory symptoms,a higher incidence of gastrointestinal manifestations,such as vomiting and diarrhea,was observed in the severe group,indicating a compelling *** administration of anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory drugs in the study group resulted in a satisfactory outcome with no significant ***:the COVID-19 pandemic has had a substantial impact on the well-being of *** management of COVID-19 in this population presents significant challenges.

time-stamped data is fast and constantly growing and it contains significant information thanks to the quick development ofmanagement platforms and systems based on the Internet and cutting-edge information communication *** the time series data including time series prediction has many practical *** new techniques were developed for use with various types of time series data in the prediction *** those,this work suggests a unique strategy to enhance predicting quality on time-series datasets that the timecycle matters by fusing deep learning methods with fuzzy *** order to increase forecasting accuracy on such type of time-series data,this study proposes integrating deep learning approaches with fuzzy ***,it combines the long short-termmemory network with the complex fuzzy set theory to create an innovative complex fuzzy long short-term memory model(CFLStM).the proposed model adds a meaningful representation of the time cycle element thanks to a complex fuzzy set to advance the deep learning long short-term memory(LStM)technique to have greater power for processing time series *** on standard common data sets and real-world data sets published in the UCI Machine Learning Repository demonstrated the proposedmodel’s utility compared to other well-known forecasting *** results of the comparisons supported the applicability of our proposed strategy for forecasting time series data.

CD4-positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma:A variant with aggressive clinical potential

CD4 expression is rare in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL), with 4 previously reported cases. Its significance is uncertain. We report five patients with CD4+ DLBCL and one CD4+ primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma. Cases were identified by searching the electronic database of the department; each was reviewed. Average age was 56 years. Neoplastic cells expressed CD20(5/6 tested cases). BCL2/BCL6 expression were seen in 3/3 tested cases, suggesting a germinal center origin. Additionally, expression of t-cell antigens CD2 and CD5 was noted in 2/2 and CD7 in 1/1 tested case. CD3 was negative in all. Lymph nodes were commonly involved(67%). Patients received chemotherapy +/- radiation(6/6) and bone marrow transplant(2/6). Average survival was 44.2 mo. CD4 expression in DLBCL raises questions of lineage commitment. CD4+ DLBCL is rare; care should be exercised not to diagnose these as t-cell lymphomas. A subset behaves aggressively.

Concentrations of Heavy Metals in Muscle with Relation to the Growth of two Marine Fish Species

Heavy metal concentrations in muscle and their relation to thegrowth of two marine fish species,including tonguefish( Cynoglossus arel) and mullet( Mugil cephalus),were studied. the samples were collected in Bach Dang estuary andconcentrations of heavy metals( As,Cd,Co,Mn,Cu,Zn,Pb,and V) in muscle of the fisheswere determined. the result showed that the accumulated trend of heavy metal is different between fish species. the concentration of As,Zn,Mn,V,Cu,Pb,Co and Cd in tonguefish were 73. 7 ± 30. 6,22. 82 ± 4.87,3. 44 ± 2. 13,1. 61 ± 0. 15,0. 71 ± 0. 13,0. 45 ± 0. 24,0. 03 ± 0. 02 and 0. 02 ± 0. 02 mg·g-1,respectively. Meanwhile the concentration of Zn,As,V,Mn,Cu,Pb,Co and Cd in mullet were 83. 41 ±19. 68,9. 78 ± 1. 92,1. 36 ± 0. 54,1. 29 ± 0. 51,0. 65 ± 0. 12,0. 42 ± 0. 20,0. 06 ± 0. 03 and0. 03 ± 0. 01mg·g-1,respectively. Comparison of metal levels among thesespecies indicated that the concentrations of As and Mn in tonguefish were significantly higher than those in mullet,whereas Zn levels in mullet were found to be higher than that in tonguefish. there is no significant differences of Cd,Co,Cu,Pb and V levels in muscle between two species. Significant inversed relationshipsbetween concentration levels of metals and lengths of tonguefish were found for Mn,Cu and Zn,butnot for As,Cd,Pb,and V. there were no significant relationships between the heavy metal concentrations and the length of mullet. In general,decreasesof the heavy metal concentrations corresponded to the increases of fish body lengths,particularly for As,Co,Cu,Mn and V and the exception for Cd. terefore reduced risks were associated with consuming biggermullet fish,and increased risks of As and Cd were associated with consuming bigger tonguefish in Bach Dang river mouth.

In this paper,by combining the inertial technique and the gradient descent method with Polyak's stepsizes,we propose a novel inertial self-adaptive gradient algorithm to solve the split feasi-bility problem in Hilbert spaces and prove some strong and weak convergence theorems of our method under standard *** examine the performance of our method on the sparse recovery prob-lem beside an example in an infinite dimensional Hilbert space with synthetic data and give some numerical results to show the potential applicability of the proposed method and comparisons with related methods emphasize it further.

A Simple Approach to the Fabrication of Graphene-Carbon Nanotube Hybrid Films on Copper Substrate by Chemical Vapor Deposition

In this study,graphene-carbon nanotube（CNt） hybrid films were directly synthesized on polycrystalline copper（Cu） substrates by thermal chemical vapor deposition（CVD） *** films were synthesized on Cu substrate at 1000 ℃ in mixture of gases:argon（Ar）,hydrogen（H2）,and methane（CH4）.then,carbon nanotubes（CNts） were grown uniformly on the surface of graphene/Cu films at 750 ℃ in mixture of Ar,*** acetylene（C2H2） *** salt FeCl3solution deposited onto the surface of graphene/Cu substrate by spin coating method was used as precursor for the growth of the *** density and quality of the CNts on the surface of graphene/Cu films can be controlled by varying the concentration of FeCl3salt catalyst.

We report on the synthesis of Sn-doped hematite nanoparticles(Sn-α-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs)by the hydrothermal *** prepared Sn-α-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs had a highly pure and well crystalline rhombohedral phase with an average particle size of 41.4 *** optical properties of as-synthesizedα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs show a higher bandgap energy(2.40-2.57 eV)than that of pure bulkα-Fe_(2)O_(3)(2.1 eV).By doping Sn intoα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs,the Sn-doped hematite was observed a redshift toward a long wavelength with in-creasing Sn concentration from 0%to 4.0%.the photocatalytic activity of Sn-dopedα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs was evaluated by Congo red(CR)dye *** degradation efficiency of CR dye using Sn-α-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs catalyst is higher than that of pureα-Fe_(2)O_(3) *** highest degradation efficiency of CR dye was 97.8%using 2.5%Sn-dopedα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs catalyst under visible-light *** results suggest that the synthesized Sn-dopedα-Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles might be a suitable approach to develop a photocatalytic degradation of toxic inorganic dye in wastewater.

Collagen provides tissue strength and structural *** fication of the orientated dispersion of collagen fibers is an important factor when studying the mechanical properties of the *** this study,for the first time,a new method for rapid characterization of the collagen fiber orientations of the cervix using linearly polarized light colposcopy is presented.A total of 24 colposcopic images were captured using a cross-polarized imaging system with white LED light *** the preprocessing stage,the Red channel of the RGB image was chosen,which contains no information of the blood vessels because of the low-absorption of blood cells in the red ***,which is an ImageJ plug-in,was used to estimate the local orientation of the collagen *** result shows that in the nonpregnant cervix,the middle zone(Zone 2)has circumferentially aligned collagen fibers while the inner zone(Zone 1)has randomly *** collagen fiber dispersion in Zone 2 is much smaller than that in Zone 1 at all four quadrants region(anterior,posterior,left,and right quadrant).this new analysis technique could potentially combine with diagnostic tools to provide a quantitative platform of collagen fibers in the clinic.
