Recently, the high-tech industry has become a key industry for economic development in many countries. However, vibration sensitive equipment located in these industrial buildings is vulnerable during earthquakes, which may cause huge economic loss. In this study, an innovative isolator for safeguarding the vibration sensitive equipment, namely, the static dynamics interchangeable^all pendulum system （SDI-BPS） is proposed and investigated to examine its protective capability for the vibration sensitive equipment during earthquakes through a series of tri-directional shaking table tests. The experimental results illustrate that the SDI-BPS isolator can provide significant damping to rolling types of base isolation systems for reducing the bearing displacement and size, and avoid the stress concentration, which can cause damage or scratches on the rolling surface of the isolator, to prolong its life span of service. The SDI-BPS isolator also provides excellent capability in protecting the vibration sensitive equipment and exhibits a stable behavior under long terms of service loadings and earthquakes.

Purpose To compare physical activity and sedentary behavior between four commonly used subjective and objective meas-ures:the 7-day Physical Activity Recall (7DPAR),International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ),pedometer,and *** A total of 130 college students completed four measures for the same 7 *** composition was measured using a bioelectric impedance *** signed rank tests and Spearman correlations were performed to compare estimates between activity *** Spearman correlations between different activity measures were further examined separately for the higher and the lower body fat *** Compared with accelerometer-derived data,both the 7DPAR and the IPAQ overestimated light physical activity(P derestimated sedentary behavior (P dentary behavior (r =0.37-0.45).There were low correlations (r=0.20-0.47) between the 7DPAR,the IPAQ,and accelerometers in sedentary behavior,light physical activity,and vigorous physical *** correlations between different activity modalities were observed among individuals with lower body fat(r=0.41-0.80) than among those with higher body fat (r=0.31-0.65).Conclusions The 7DPAR and the IPAQ yielded comparable estimation of moderate physical activity relative to *** were significant differences in sedentary time across activity *** compositions should be considered when comparing the estimates of activity levels between subjective and objective instruments.

The title compound rac-11-t-butoxy-l,4-dihydro-l,4-methanoanthracene （C19H200, Mr = 264.35） has been synthesized and characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR, HRMS spectra and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to monoclinic, space group P21/n, with a = 13.5240（10）, b = 8.3453（6）, c = 13.9604（9） A,β = 100.0190（10）°. The structure of the title compound comprises a norbornene unit with a t-butoxy g, roup, having a naphthalene ring fused on one side. The naphthalene is essentially planar with a maximum deviation of 0.032（2） A for atom C（3）. In the crystal, inversion-related molecules are linked by pairs of C- H...O hydrogen bonds, forming a cyclic dimer with R2z （16） graph-set motif. The C-H-..~r interactions are also observed, linking the molecules into a continuous two-dimensional framework structure.

The catalytic potential of CexZr1-xO2 in isopropyl ether （DIPE） hydration was explored. While the acidic H-zeolite catalyst was favorable for propylene formation through earbenium ion mechanism, Ce-ZSM-5 and CexZr1-xO2 catalysts improved product selectivity of isopropyl alcohol （IPA） through redox mechanism. The catalytic property of CexZr1-xO2 depended on the preparation method and variable, type of cerium precursor and Ce/Zr ratio. By means of characterizations with X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption isotherms and NH3 temperature programmed desorption, tetragonal phase of CexZr1-xO2 was proposed as the active phase in which CeO2 and ZrO2 catalyzed synergistically the DIPE hydration with IPA product selectivity. The CexZrl_xO2 prepared from cerium sul- fate precursor with co-precipitation hydrothermal method exhibited maximum catalytic activity and IPA product selectivity. The pre- cursor effect was attributed to the stabilization of SO42 species on the tetragonal phase of CexZr1-xO2 and super solid acidity.

Objective Genistein, a major soy isoflavone metabolite （SIF）, inactivates oxidation activity of bovine lactoperoxidase （LPO）. Modification of the heme moiety of LPO by nitrogen-containing compounds has been shown to inactivate LPO. In contrast, SIF mediated inactivation of LPO does not involve a heme modification and the mechanism of SIF inhibition is poorly understood. Methods After inactivation of LPO by genistein in the presence of H202, trypsin-digested LPO peptide fragments were collected and analyzed by MALDI-TOF-MS to characterize the chemical binding of genistein（s） to LPO. Results The heme moiety of LPO was not modified by genistein. A covalent binding study showed that 3H-genistein bound to LPO with a ratio of ~12 to 1. After HPLC analysis and peak collection, trypsin-digested peptide fragments were analyzed by MALDI-TOF-MS. The 3H-genistein co-eluted peptide fragments （RT=24 min） were putatively identified as 1991VGYLdeEGVLDQNR214 with two bound genistein molecules or a genistein dimer （2 259 Da）, 486TPDNIDIWlGGNAEPMVER504 with two bound genistein molecules or a genistein dimer （2 663 Da）, and 161ARWLPAEYEDGLALPFGWTQR182 with three bound genistein molecules or a genistein trimer （3 060 Da）. The fragment with a mass of 2 792 Da （RT=36 min） was identified as 132CdeNSPYR139 with three genistein molecules or a genistein trimer. Conclusions The results suggest that LPO was inactivated by irreversible covalent binding of genistein or genistein polymers to particular peptide fragments constituting regions of the outward domain. No genistein interaction with the prosthetic heme moiety of LPO was observed.

Although many theories regarding the implementation of knowledge management （KM） in organizations have been proposed and studied, most applications tend to stand alone without incorporating the business processes. Different categories of knowledge provide different benefits and how to integrate various categories of KM into a hybrid approach as an effective KM manner remains strategically important, and yet is still understudied. Therefore, in this paper a hybrid model that integrates principal KM applications for new service development （NSD） and the measurement of the resulting f＇mancial benefits have been developed. The proposed KM model incorporates newsgroups, knowledge forums, knowledge asset management and knowledge application processes as a hybrid means for sharing organizational knowledge along two axes, explicit vs. implicit and individual vs. collective. One of the largest management consulting companies in Taiwan, China, whose process model of NSD was standing alone with KM applications, was selected for the case study. A set of hybrid KM processes was developed to implement the proposed KM model, and it illustrates an application with greater financial benefits for integrating hybrid KM practices into the business process. Based on knowledge value added （KVA） validation, the proposed KM model provides a new operating system for sharing NSD knowledge within an organization. Through the case study by measuring the achieved financial results, the proposed KM model is found to provide an exclusive hybrid platform with an empirical process model to address innovative approaches and practical values of KM within an organization.

BACKGROUND: Accurate diagnosis of infected aortic and iliac aneurysms is often delayed, hampering timely treatment and potentially resulting in a fatal consequence. The aim of this study was to discover useful clinical features that can help physicians to identify these ***: We reviewed the discharge notes from two hospitals and identifi ed all patients who had a diagnosis of infected aneurysms of the thoracoabdominal aorta and iliac arteries between July 2009 and december 2013. Eighteen patients, aged from 41 to 93, were reviewed. Only 6 patients were diagnosed accurately in their fi rst visit to our ***: Most patients had at least one underlying illness, and it took 1 to 30(9.9±6.5) days for physicians to diagnose their infected aneurysm. Localized pain and fever were the two most commonly presented symptoms. The majority(92%) of isolated microorganisms were gram-negative bacilli, including Salmonella spp, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Escherichia coli. Two of the 3 patients who underwent non-operative therapy died, and all of the patients who underwent a combination of medical and operative therapies ***: We suggest that physicians liberally use computed tomography scans on patients with unknown causes of pain and inflammatory processes. A combination of surgical and medical treatments is indicated for all patients with infected aortic and iliac aneurysms.

Objective: To investigate suitable condition for extraction of the active components from Ajuga nipponensis(A. nipponensis). Methods: Orthogonal experimental design was used to determine the optimal extraction parameters for ecdysterones and flavonoids. Finally, the hepatoprotective abilities of A. nipponensis extracts were evaluated by CCl_4-induced animal models. Results:Maximum yields of flavonoids(7.87±0.10) mg/g and ecdysterones(0.73±0.02) mg/g could be obtained when the extraction time was 50 min, the extraction temperature was 60 ℃, and the ratio of sample to 70%(v/v) ethanol was 1:20(w/w). The antioxidant property of A. nipponensis was correlated to the concentration of its extracts. At 5 mg/m L, A. nipponensisextract scavenged 84.8% of DPPH radical and had absorbance values of 2.43±0.04 reducing power. Upon CCl_4-induced liver injury, glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase and glutamic pyruvic transaminase decreased significantly after the mice were treated with A. nipponensis. Histological researches also explained that A. nipponensis reduced the extent of liver lesions induced by CCl_4. Conclusions: A. nipponensis exhibited potent antioxidant activity in chemical experimental models and hepatoprotective effect against CCl_4-induced liver damage.

Amazonian Dark Earth(Ade) is a highly fertile soil of anthropogenic origin characterized by high levels of charred black carbon(BC). It is considered a model of fertility; however, knowledge on the fungal community structure and diversity inhabiting Ade and its BC particles is scarce. Fungal community structure and diversity of Ade and its BC from four sites under different land uses(three agricultural systems and a secondary pristine forest) in the Brazilian Central Amazon were evaluated by 18S rRNA gene pyrosequencing. Fungal communities in Ade and BC were dissimilar and showed differential abundances of fungal operational taxonomic units(OTUs). Estimated fungal species richness(abundance-based coverage estimate and Chao-1 index) and diversity estimators(Shannon and Simpson's reciprocal indices) were higher in Ade than in BC in all agricultural areas. No differences were observed in those parameters in Ade and BC samples from the secondary forest. Pezizomycotina fungi and OTUs assigned to Cordyceps confragosa,Acremonium vitellinum, Camarops microspora, and Hirsutella rhossiliensis were more abundant in BC particles than in Ade. These findings represent a breakthrough in our understanding of fungal communities in BC particles from Ade, and will be valuable in future studies considering biochar application in soil.
