CdTe na.orods a.e synthesized by solvotherma. decomposition, using single source molecula. precursors (SSMP) ca.mium (II), complex of bis-(a.inopropyl telluride) (SSMP-I) a.d ca.mium (II) bis-(isopropyl telluro) propa.e (SSMP-II) a.d quinoline a. solvent a. rela.ively low tempera.ure (210°C). a. synthesized na.oma.eria.s a.e structura.ly cha.a.terized by XRD a.d SEM, SEM microgra.hs revea.ed forma.ion of rod sha.es structures whose dimensions cha.ge with the source precursor molecule. The a.era.e crysta.lite size estima.ed from XRD da.a.is 29.78 a.d 28.94 nm respectively using Precursors I a.d II. The a.era.e size of na.orods is 1.237 μm a.d 0.15μm respectively, estima.ed from SEM microgra.hs. These a.e much la.ger tha. the a.era.e crysta.lite size estima.ed from XRD da.a. This is a.tributed to the a.glomera.ion of na.ocrysta.lites a. quinoline is not a.good ca.ping a.ent.
