For a double array of independent random elements {Vmn,m ≥ 1,n ≥ 1} in a real separable Banach space,conditions are provided under which the weak and strong laws of large numbers for the double sums mi=1 nj=1Vij,m ≥ 1,n ≥ 1 are *** the identically distributed and the nonidentically distributed cases are *** the main theorems,no assumptions are made concerning the geometry of the underlying Banach *** theorems are applied to obtain Kolmogorov,Brunk–Chung,and Marcinkiewicz–Zygmund type strong laws of large numbers for double sums in Rademacher type p（1 ≤ p ≤ 2） Banach spaces.

We present a comparative study of the control of group velocity in three-level atomic systems including Λ-, Ladder-, and V-types via spontaneously generated coherence(SGC) and relative phase of laser *** the steady regime, expressions of group index are derived as an analytical function of controllable parameters related to SGC and relative *** is shown that the group velocity can be further slowed down or speeded up under SGC in which modifications of group velocity due to the SGC in Λ-and V-systems are stronger than that in *** particular, when interference strength of SGC p increases from 0.7 to 1.0, the light propagation is switched from superluminal to subluminal modes(for Λ-and Ladder-systems) or from subluminal to superluminal modes(for Vsystem).In the presence of relative phase, the group velocity changes between subluminal and superluminal modes with a period of 2π.In resonant region, the largest positive value of group index reaches at the relative phase φ=π while the largest negative value of group index reaches at φ= 0 and 2π for the Λ-and Ladder-systems, otherwise, for the V-system the largest positive group index occurs at φ= 0 and 2π, and the largest negative group index occurs at φ=π.

Four activated carbon(AC) samples prepared from rice husk under different activation temperatures have been characterized by N2adsorption–desorption isotherms, thermogravimetric analysis(TGA–DTA), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The specific surface area of AC sample reached 2681 m2 g 1under activation temperature of 800 1C. The AC samples were then tested as electrode material; the specific capacitance of the as-prepared activated carbon electrode was found to be 172.3 F g 1using cyclic voltammetry at a scan rate of 5 mV s 1and 198.4 F g 1at current density 1000 mA g 1in the charge/discharge mode.& 2014 Chinese Materials Research Society. We study a generalized Cauchy problem associated with a class of impulsive fractional differential inclusions of Sobolev type in Banach spaces. Our aim is to prove the existence of a compact set of globally attracting solutions to the problem in question. An application to fractional partial differential equations subject to impulsive effects is given to illustrate our results.

An experimental study of the energy of bubble bursting at the surface of a high-viscosity liquid on a cantilever beam is *** sudden bursting event of a bubble at the liquid surface can cause a vibration of the cantilever beam besides the acoustic wave and jet *** peaks of the vibration signal from the beam slightly lag the peaks of the acoustic signal,and the energy transferred to the vibration is larger than that transferred to the acoustic *** amplitude of the jet wave depends on the thickness of thc liquid hlm and the size of the *** results of the investigation can be used to understand the dynamic characteristics of bubble bursting.

Objective:To investigate the anti-proliferative effects of 20-hydroxyecdysone isolated from the bark of Dacrycarpus imbricatus(Blume) de ***:Column chromatography was used for isolation of compounds from plant *** structure of the isolated compound was identified by mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance techniques,including HSQC,HMBC,NOE-difference *** isolated compound was tested for its anti-proliferative activity in acute myeloid leukemia(AML) and OCI-AML ***:Compound 1 was isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction of Dacrycarpus imbricatus barks by column *** chemical structure was identified as 20-hydroxyecdysone(20HE),a cholestane-type ecdysteroid,by a combination of mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometric *** goal was to test the anti-proliferative activity of 20 HE using the OCI-AML cell line.20 HE significantly decreased OCI cell number at a concentration of 1 mg/mL,whereas lower concentrations were ***,this decrease was due to partial blockage of the G_1/S phase of the cell cycle,with a reduction of cells in the G_2M phase,not due to increased ***:This indicates that 20 HE significantly decreases the number of cells in the G_1/S phase of the cell cycle in human AML *** is the first time that the anti-proliferative activity of 20 HE against a human tumor cell line has been reported.

Evaluation of Weathering Performance of Rosin-Copper Based Treated Wood

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of natural weathering on some surface characteristics and mechanical properties of Styrax wood treated with mixtures of 1.0%,2.0%,or 4.0%rosin sizing agent and 3%copper *** samples after treatment were exposed to outdoor conditions for one year and changes in color,glossiness,weight loss,compression strength parallel to grain(CSPG),modulus of rupture(MOR),and modulus of elasticity(MOE)were investigated after 6 and 12-month of natural *** results showed that rosin-copper treatment could improve color stability and gloss of samples after *** losses of all rosin-copper treated samples after 12 months of exposure were negligible compared with the untreated control *** addition,rosin-copper treatment enhanced the CSPG compared to untreated controls,but slightly decreased the MOR and MOE of Styrax wood before *** weathering factors induced a reduction for all strength properties,however,the decrease rate for strength properties of rosin-copper treated samples was negligible compared with the untreated control samples after 12-month natural weathering *** FTIR and SEM-EDX confirmed that the use of the rosin-copper formulations to impregnate wood could decrease the hazard of the copper preservative leaching into the environment,while also enhancing more resistance against weathering factors and other biotic factors.

Mining industrial areas with anthropogenic engineering structures are one of the most distinctive features of the real world.3D models of the real world have been increasingly popular with numerous applications,such as digital twins and smart factory *** this study,3D models of mining engineering structures were built based on the CityGML *** collecting spatial data,the two most popular geospatial technologies,namely UAV-SfM and TLS were *** accuracy of the UAV survey was at the centimeter level,and it satisfied the absolute positional accuracy requirement of creat-ing all levels of detail(LoD)according to the CityGML ***,the UAV-SfM point cloud dataset was used to build LoD 2 *** addition,the comparison between the UAV-SfM and TLS sub-clouds of facades and roofs indicates that the UAV-SfM and TLS point clouds of these objects are highly consistent,therefore,point clouds with a higher level of detail and accuracy provided by the integration of UAV-SfM and TLS were used to build LoD 3 *** resulting 3D CityGML models include 39 buildings at LoD 2,and two mine shafts with hoistrooms,headframes,and sheave wheels at LoD3.
