The properties of polyvinyl alcohol/gelatin (PVA/GE) nanofibers have been previously investigated as a function of the processing parameters such as the ra-tios of PVA and GE, electrical field and tip-to-collector distance during the electro-spinning process, in this study, the properties of the electro-spinning PVA/GE nanofibers were examined when different solution feed rates were used to create the fibrous scaffold. The optimal conditions for the PVA/GE fibrous scaf-fold were determined to be a PVA/GE blend ratio of 8/2, electrical field of 24 kV, tip-to-collector distance of 10 cm and speed rate of 1 ml.h-1. Using these con-ditions, Raspberry ketone (RK) was incorporated into PVA/GE fibrous scaffolds and their microstruc-ture and material properties were characterized by SEM, DSC and XRD techniques. When the incorpo-rated RK and PVA/GE fibrous scaffolds were cross-linked, the tensile strength and water-resistant ability increased at increasing cross-linking time. However, in the in vitro analysis, a longer cross-linking time was shown to increase its cytotoxicity. The cytotoxic-ity of RKPVA/GE-8 fibrous scaffold was evaluated based on a cell proliferation study by culturing L-929 fibroblast cell on the fibrous scaffold for 1, 3 and 5 days. In these experiments, cell expansion was ob-served and the cells spread during the entire cell cul-ture time.

Objective:To evaluate the effects of wedelolactone,a major flavonoid from Vietnamese Eclipta prostrata(L)L.,on inflammation and insulin ***:Wedelolactone was extracted from the leaves of Vietnamese Eclipta prostrata(L.)*** methanol by *** effects of wedelolactone on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced cytokine production,reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation,and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADPH)oxidase activities in Raw 264.7 cells were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),specific immunofluorescent dyes and luminometric analysis,*** addition,its effects on glucose uptake and the protein expression of insulin receptor substrate 1(IRS1)and glucose transporter 4(GLUT4)were examined in 3T3-L1 cells by immunofluorescent dyes and Western ***:Wedelolactone at 30μg/mL significantly inhibited LPS-induced production of tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin(IL)-6,and IL-8(P<0.01)with no noticeable effects on IL-10 *** also reduced ROS generation and NADPH oxidase activities in LPS-stimulated Raw 264.7 cells(P<0.01).Furthermore,wedelolactone showed anti-insulin resistance activity,as evidenced by improved glucose uptake and the upregulated expression of IRS1 and GLUT4 in 3T3-L1 cells(P<0.01).Conclusions:Wedelolactone exhibits anti-inflammation and anti-insulin resistance effects,which may be used for the treatment of diabetes and inflammation-associated diseases.

Building the ARIMA Model for Forecasting the Production of Vietnam’s Coffee Export

Coffee is a significant industry, accounting for 3% of Vietnam’s GDP, with annual export turnover consistently exceeding USD 3 billion. Despite global economic challenges affecting purchasing power at various times, Vietnam’s coffee exports in December 2023 continued to surge, reaching the highest level in the past 9 months at 190,000 tons, a 59.3% increase compared to November 2023, but still a slight 3.5% decrease from the same period last year. The export turnover reached USD 538 million, a 51% increase from November 2023 and a 26.4% increase from the same period last year. Therefore, forecasting the coffee export volume holds significant importance for coffee producers nationwide. This research employs the Box-Jenkins method to construct an ARIMA model for forecasting Vietnam’s coffee export volume based on annual data published by the General Statistics Office. Results indicate that among the models considered, the ARIMA(1, 1, 2) model is the most suitable. The study also provides short-term forecasts for Vietnam’s coffee export volume. However, the current model is limited to forecasting and is not yet optimized, as the assumed linearity in the model is a simplification.

A novel approach for synthesis of hierarchical mesoporous Nd2O3 nanomaterials

A novel route to the fabrication of hierarchical mesoporous Nd_2O_3 nanostructures including nanospheres and nanoporous network was described. Their structure and morphology evolution of the as-synthesized materials were determined by various techniques such as scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, Fourier transforminfrared spectra, nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherm, and a formation mechanism was proposed. The results revealed that the Nd_2O_3 nanospheres had the diameter of 300 nm, which were composed of small primary nanoparticles（NPs） with the size of 10 nm. The nanoporous structure also formed the NPs of ca. 10 nm which were connected with each other to form a three-dimensional（3D） texture. This simple and mild approach to fabricate hierarchical mesoporous Nd_2O_3 nanostructures could be easily scaled up and potentially extended to synthesize other oxide hierarchical structures.

Analysis of an Ar plasma jet in a dielectric barrier discharge conjugated with a microsecond pulse

In this work, an Ar plasma jet generated by an AC-microsecond-pulse-driven dielectric barrier discharge reactor, which had two ring-shaped electrodes isolated from the ambient atmosphere by transformer oil, was investigated. By special design of the oil insulation, a chemically active Ar plasma jet along with a safe and stable plasma process as well as low emission of CO and NOxwere successfully achieved. The results indicated that applied voltage and frequency were basic factors influencing the jet temperature, discharge power, and jet length, which increased significantly with the two operating parameters. Meanwhile, gas velocity affected the jet temperature in a reverse direction. In comparison with a He plasma jet, the Ar plasma jet had relatively low jet temperature under the same level of the input parameters, being preferable for bio-applications. The Ar plasma jet has been tested to interact with human skin within 5 min without the perception of burnt skin and electrical shock.

For human-machine communication to be as effective as human-tohuman communication, research on speech emotion recognition is *** the models and the classifiers used to recognize emotions, neural networks appear to be promising due to the network’s ability to learn and the diversity in configuration. Following the convolutional neural network, a capsuleneural network (CapsNet) with inputs and outputs that are not scalar quantitiesbut vectors allows the network to determine the part-whole relationships thatare specific 6 for an object. This paper performs speech emotion recognition basedon CapsNet. The corpora for speech emotion recognition have been augmented byadding white noise and changing voices. The feature parameters of the recognition system input are mel spectrum images along with the characteristics of thesound source, vocal tract and prosody. For the German emotional corpus EMODB, the average accuracy score for 4 emotions, neutral, boredom, anger and happiness, is 99.69%. For Vietnamese emotional corpus BKEmo, this score is94.23% for 4 emotions, neutral, sadness, anger and happiness. The accuracy scoreis highest when combining all the above feature parameters, and this scoreincreases significantly when combining mel spectrum images with the featuresdirectly related to the fundamental frequency.

This study investigates how financial literacy and behavioral traits affect the adoption of electronic payment(ePayment)services in *** construct a financial literacy index using a representative sample of 25,000 individuals from the Bank of Japan’s 2019 Financial Literacy *** then analyze the relationship between this index and the extensive and intensive usage of two types of payment services:electronic money(e-money)and mobile payment *** an instrumental variable approach,we find that higher financial literacy is positively associated with a higher likelihood of adopting ePayment *** empirical results suggest that individuals with higher financial literacy use payment services more *** also find that risk-averse people are less likely to adopt and use ePayment services,whereas people with herd behavior tend to adopt and use ePayment services *** empirical results also suggest that the effects of financial literacy on the adoption and use of ePayment differ among people with different behavioral traits.

Using time-series data analysis for stock-price forecasting(SPF)is complex and challenging because many factors can influence stock prices(e.g.,inflation,seasonality,economic policy,societal behaviors).Such factors can be analyzed over time for *** learning and deep learning have been shown to obtain better forecasts of stock prices than traditional *** study,therefore,proposed a method to enhance the performance of an SPF system based on advanced machine learning and deep learning ***,we applied extreme gradient boosting as a feature-selection technique to extract important features from high-dimensional time-series data and remove redundant ***,we fed selected features into a deep long short-term memory(LSTM)network to forecast stock *** deep LSTM network was used to reflect the temporal nature of the input time series and fully exploit future con-textual *** complex structure enables this network to capture more stochasticity within the stock *** method does not change when applied to stock data or Forex *** results based on a Forex dataset covering 2008–2018 showed that our approach outperformed the baseline autoregressive integrated moving average approach with regard to mean absolute error,mean squared error,and root-mean-square error.

This paper presents a Game-theoretic optimization via Parallel Min-Max Ant System(PMMAS)algorithm is used in practice to determine the Nash equilibrium value to resolve the confusion in choosing appropriate bidders of multi-round procurement problem in software project *** this end,we introduce an approach that proposes:(i)A Game-theoretic model of multiround procurement problem(ii)A Nash equilibrium strategy corresponds to multi-round strategy bid(iii)An application of PSO for the determination of global Nash *** balance point in Nash Equilibrium can help to maintain a sustainable structure not only in terms of project management but also in terms of future *** an alternative of procuring entities subjectively,a methodology to support decision making has been studied using Nash equilibrium to create a balance point on benefit in procurement where buyers and suppliers need multiple rounds of *** goal focus on the balance point in Nash Equilibrium to optimizing bidder selection in multi-round procurement which is the most beneficial for both investors and selected *** PMMAS algorithm is implemented based on MPI(message passing interface)to find the approximate optimal solution for the question of how to choose bidders and ensure a path for a win-win relationship of all participants in the procurement *** also evaluate the speedup ratio and parallel efficiency between our algorithm and other proposed *** the experiment results,the high feasibility and effectiveness of the PMMAS algorithm are verified.

A facile and simple chemical precipitation method was utilized to synthesize FeFe2O4magnetic nanomaterial for removing methylene blue（MB） from aqueous solution. Characterizations of this material were examined by using XRD, SEM, FT-IR, TGA-DTG and BET methods. Factors affecting the uptake of methylene blue, including p H, adsorption time, and MB initial concentration were also studied. The measured data were fitted by using four isotherm models including Langmuir, Freundlich, Sips and Temkin. Results showed that the Sips model offers the best fit to the data. In addition, the monolayer MB adsorption capacity obtained from the Langmuir model was 42.35 mg g-1under the optimal conditions of p H = 10 and adsorption time = 80 min. In particular, the uptake of MB onto FeFe2O4magnetic nanomaterial obtained from the kinetic and mechanism studies of the adsorption was in good agreement with prediction of the pseudo-first-order model, whereas the electrostatic interaction was found to play a primary mechanism.
