Introduc.ion:c.ina is responsible for more than 60%of global aquac.lture *** the frontiers of food produc.ion have expanded,the c.ltivation of marine organisms in c.astal zones and the open oc.an has grown *** dominant maric.lture industry in c.ina is suspended maric.lture,whic. uses net c.ges,ropes,or other struc.ures suspended in the water c.lumn to c.ltivate aquatic.*** systematic.quantitative review provides a c.ear and c.mprehensive ac.ount of researc. that has investigated the adverse impac.s of suspended maric.lture in c.ina and reviews researc. that has applied Integrated Multi-Trophic.Aquac.lture(IMTA)systems for mitigating *** work builds on 218 peer reviewed papers that have been published in english-language ***:eighteen impac.s were identified,inc.uding c.emic.l,ec.logic.l,physic.l,and soc.oec.nomic.*** measures for improving suspended maric.lture were rec.mmended c.nsisting of government department,farm management,and ec.logic.l engineering *** was the most frequently rec.mmended *** c.pabil-ities of IMTA for bioremediation and inc.eased farm produc.ion were the most frequently studied *** other benefits have been explored but remain *** c.rrent c.allenges fac.ng the expansion of c.mmerc.al IMTA inc.ude limited use of new tec.nology,limited skills development,dec.easing produc.ion of low trophic.level spec.es,biogeographic.and temporal barriers,and negative system ***:Despite c.allenges,implementing c.mmerc.al IMTA is a promising measure for reduc.ng the impac.s of sus pended maric.lture bec.use it presents a range of sec.ndary benefits that c.n improve the overall sustainability of aquac.lture in the c.astal zone.

The phototropins phot1 and phot2 are plant blue-light rec.ptors that mediate phototropism, c.loroplast movements, stomatal opening, leaf expansion, the rapid Inhibition of hypoc.tyl growth in etiolated seedlings, and possibly solar trac.ing by leaves in those spec.es in whic. It oc.urs. The phototroplns are plasma membrane-assoc.ated hydrophilic.proteins with two c.romophore domains （designated LOV1 and LOV2 for their resemblanc. to domains In other signaling proteins that detec. light, oxygen, or voltage） in their Nterminal half and a c.assic.serine/threonlne kinase domain in their c.terminal half. Both c.romophore domains bind flavin mononuc.eotide （FMN） and both undergo light-ac.ivated formation of a c.valent bond between a nearby c.stelne and the c.4a） carbon of the FMN to form the signaling state. LOV2-c.stelnyl adduc. formation leads to the release downstream of a tightly bound amphlpathlc.α-helix, a step required for ac.ivation of the klnase func.ion. This c.steinyl adduc. then slowly dec.ys over a matter of sec.nds or minutes to return the photorec.ptor c.romophore modules to their ground state. Func.ional LOV2 is required for light-ac.ivated phosphorylation and for various blue-light responses mediated by the phototroplns. The func.ion of LOV1 is still unknown, although It may serve to modulate the signal generated by LOV2. The LOV domain Is an anc.ent c.romophore module found In a wide range of otherwise unrelated proteins In fungi and prokaryotes, the latter Inc.uding c.anobac.0}la, eubac.0}la, and arc.aea. Further general reviews on the phototropins are those by c.laya and Lisc.m （2005） and c.ristie and Briggs （2005）.

Gas c.romatography-mass spec.rometry was used to identify a series of n-alkanes in the sediments of a typic.l glac.ally eroded lake in the eastern Tibetan *** c.mparing the distribution patterns of n-alkanes in lake sediments,surfac. soils and c.w manure,it was shown that n-c.27-n-c.33 alkanes in the soil ec.system of Ximen c. are derived from vasc.lar plant spec.es and that the distribution pattern of n-c.27-n-c.33 alkanes remains unc.anged during the feeding and digestion proc.sses of *** relative perc.ntage of c.27,c.29 and c.31 n-alkanes dec.eased from the bottom to the top of the sediment c.re showing a trend of degradation of higher plants in the Ximen c. lake region during the formation of the 44 c. c.re.210 Pb dating,c.mbined with pre-existing AMS 14 c.dating results showed that the depositional c.re reflec.s c.imatic.and environmental variations sinc. about 900 years before *** n-alkane indexes (Ac. 27-33,P aq,P wax) are c.mparable with regional temperature variation,espec.ally rec.rding the Little Ic. Age event (LIA).This study highlights that n-alkanes are valid proxies for paleo-c.imate and paleo-environment rec.nstruc.ion,despite the same distribution patterns in n-alkane molec.lar fossils derived from a typic.l glac.ally eroded lake.

AIM To test assoc.ations between statin use and c.gnitive impairment in adults with c.ildhood-onset type 1 diabetes(T1D).MeTHODS In 2010-13, n = 108 middle-aged partic.pants from ongoing observational Pittsburgh epidemiology of Diabetes c.mplic.tions Study underwent neuroc.gnitive assessment(mean age and T1 D duration of 49 and 41 years, respec.ively). All were diagnosed with c.ildhoodonset(i.e., prior to age 18) T1 D between 1950 and 1980 and were seen within one year of diagnosis at c.ildren's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Self-reported statin use(yes/no and if yes, name of statin) was c.llec.ed biennially from parent study baseline(1986-1988) to time of neuroc.gnitive testing. Logistic.regression models tested assoc.ations between statin use groups and c.gnitive impairment(defined as having two or more c.gnitive test sc.res 1.5SD or worse than published norms) while linear regression models tested assoc.ations between statin use groups and c.gnitive domain z-sc.res(domains: Verbal IQ, memory, exec.tive func.ion, psyc.omotor speed, and visuo-c.nstruc.ion). All models c.ntrolled for educ.tion and age. To address c.nfounding by indic.tion, models were repeated using a propensity sc.re for statin *** Of the 108 partic.pants, 51 reported never using statins. Median duration of statin use among the 57 ever users was 6 years. These 57 ever statin users were split to c.eate two groups(≤ or > median years of statin use): 1-6 years(n = 25), and 7-12 years(n = 32). c.mpared with never users, using statins 1-6 years tripled the odds of c.gnitive impairment(OR = 3.16; 95%c.: 0.93-10.72; P = 0.06) and using statins 7-12 years almost quintupled the odds of c.gnitive impairment(OR = 4.84; 95%c.: 1.63-14.44; P = 0.005). c.mpared with never users, using statins 1-6 or 7-12 years was related to worse performanc. in the memory domain(β =-0.52; P = 0.003, and-0.39; P = 0.014, respec.ively).
