Greenstone belts contain several clues about the evolutionary history of primitive ***,we describe the volcano-sedimentary rock association exposed along the eastern margin of the Gavião Block,named the Northern Mundo Novo Greenstone Belt(N-MNGB),and present data collected with different techniques,including U–Pb–Hf–O isotopes of zircon and multiple sulfur isotopes(^(32)S,^(33)S,^(34)S,and ^(36)S)of pyrite from this supracrustal sequence.A pillowed metabasalt situated in the upper section of the N-MNGB is 3337±25 Ma old and has zircon with ε_(Hf)(t)=2.47 to1.40,Hf model ages between 3.75 Ga and 3.82 Ga,and δ^(18)O=+3.6‰to+7.3‰.These isotopic data,together with compiled whole-rock trace element data,suggest that the mafic metavolcanic rocks formed in a subduction-related setting,likely a back-arc basin juxtaposed to a continental *** this context,the magma interacted with older Eoarchean crustal components from the Gavião *** zircons from the overlying quartzites of the Jacobina Group are sourced from Paleoarchean rocks,in accordance with previous studies,yielding a maximum depositional age of 3353±22 *** detrital zircons have ε_(Hf)(t)=5.40 to0.84,Hf model ages between 3.66 Ga and 4.30 Ga,and δ^(18)O=+4.8‰to+6.4‰.The pyrite multiple sulfur isotope investigation of the 3.3 Ga supracrustal rocks from the N-MNGB enabled a further understanding of Paleoarchean sulfur *** samples have diverse isotopic compositions that indicate sulfur sourced from distinct ***,they preserve the signal of the anoxic Archean atmosphere,expressed by MIF-S signatures(Δ^(33)S between1.3‰to+1.4‰)and a Δ^(36)S/Δ^(33)S slope of0.81 that is indistinguishable from the so-called Archean array.A BIF sample has a magmatic origin of sulfur,as indicated by the limited Δ^(34)S range(0 to+2‰),Δ^(33)S~0‰,and Δ^(36)S~0‰.A carbonaceous schist shows positive Δ^(34)S(2.1‰–3.5‰)and elevated Δ^(33)S(1.2‰–1.4‰)values,with corresponding negative Δ^(36)S

Adakitic rocks associated with the Shilu copper–molybdenum deposit in the Yangchun Basin,South China,and their tectonic implications

South China is famous for the extensive magmatism and polymetallic mineralization that took place there in the Mesozoic. Shilu is a large porphyry–skarn Cu–Mo deposit in the Yangchun Basin, South China. The lithology of the Shilu intrusion is granodiorite and quartz diorite, both of which are high-K calc-alkaline series, with high Sr([400 ppm) content along with low Y and Yb contents. Most of the samples have characteristics of adakite except for a few samples that have slightly higher Y and Yb contents, which may be plausibly explained by crustal contamination. Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry zircon U–Pb dating revealed ages between 106.6 ± 1.3 and 103.9 ± 0.5 Ma, with multiple magmatic pulses. Molybdenite Re–Os isochron age of 102.2 ± 2.9 Ma(MSWD = 9.4) was determined, which is identical to the youngest zircon U–Pb age(103.9 ± 0.5 Ma) within *** Shilu intrusion has high oxygen fugacity as indicated by high zircon Ce^(4+)/Ce^(3+) and Eu_N/Eu_N* ratios. Considering the geochemical characteristics(high Sr, and low Y and Yb contents), high oxygen fugacity, and copper mineralization of the Shilu intrusion, it was most likely formed by partial melting of a subducted young oceanic slab. Whole-rock Sr–Nd isotope-, zircon Hf isotope-, and whole-rock trace element analyses show that Shilu adakitic magmas may have interacted with type II enriched mantle and/or crustal materials during ascent. South China was affected by the Pacific tectonic regime to the east and the Neo-Tethys tectonic regime to the south in the Cretaceous. Based on the Pacific Plate drifting and rotation history, it is hard to explain how the Pacific Plate would have subducted and melted, forming adakitic rocks in the Shilu region. Considering the tectonic history of Southeast Asia and the South China Sea, the Neo-Tethys trench should have been much closer to the South China Block in the Cretaceous, and thus have had a greater impact on the South China Block. Relationship between Granite and Eclogite on the Southern Margin of the Qilian Mountains: Evidence from Zircon SHRIMP Agesof the Aolaoshan Granite

Zircon SHRIMP ages of the Aolaoshan granite on the south margin of the QilianMts. range from 445 + - 15.3 to 496 + - 7.6 Ma (averaging 473 Ma), belonging to the EarlyOrdovician. Geochemically, the granite is similar to I-type granite and, tectonically, was formed inan island-arc environment based on relevant diagrams for structural discriminations. Consideringalso the regional geology, the authors suggest that the granite is part of an ultrahigh-pressurebelt on the south margin of the Qilian Mts. and that its formation bears a close relationship tothis belt.

Geological and chronological evidence of Indo-Chinese strike-slip movement in the Altyn Tagh fault zone

A set of granitic and amphibole mylonite are exposed in the Altyn Tagh fault zone. The preliminary study shows that these rocks are the product of the syntectonic anatexis in the process of the left-lat- eral strike-slip shear, and are the result of the ductile transpression. There are two types of zircon sorted from the mylonite formed with syn-shear anatexis. Among them, one is the anatectic long co-lumnar zircon and another is the residual metamorphic sub-rounded columnar zircon. Two groups of age for single zircon measured by ion microprobe (SHRIMP) are obtained: one is 461-547 Ma for the sub-rounded columnar residual metamorphic zircon, and the other is 239-244 Ma for the long-columnar anatectic zircon. This type of zircon is direc-tionally spread in rock, and the long axis direction of its crystal is identical to that of stretching lineation, represent-ing the direction of tectonic stress in the process of the strike-slip. 40Ar-39Ar age of the directional growth horn-blende in the same mylonite

Cenozoic adakitic rocks in the Gangdese changed from barren continental melts to ore-forming slab melts at * 23 Ma. The distribution and chemical characteristics of the ore-forming adakites point to an association with the Ninetyeast Ridge. The subduction of the thick,rigid Ninetyeast Ridge changed the geometry and rheology of the eastern Tibetan Plateau lithosphere and asthenosphere, restrained the eastward escape of asthenospheric mantle as well as continental fragments, and promoted the uplift and building of the Tibetan Plateau, which consequently changed the tectonic and climatic regimes in eastern Asia.

AGE OF THE ALTYN TAGH STRIKE—SLIP FAULT

A 100～500m\|wide mylonite zone in the Altun Group of Lower Proterozoic age was discovered along the Altyn Tagh strike\|slip fault. The zone is mainly composed of amphibolitic and granitic mylonites. The planar joints of the rocks strike in NE70 and dip steeply (nearly vertical), coincident with the striking of Altyn Tagh fault zone, and their stretched lineations are nearly horizontal. Shear strains are well developed and show sinistral sheared. The amphibolitic and granitic mylonites are most probably the products of deep\|seated melting caused by sinistral strike\|slip shearing as suggested by the evidence below: (1) The migmatization is intensely developed and spatially controlled by the shear zone, and the rock has a set of NNE perspective foliation which is in accord with the direction of the Altyn Tagh strike\|slip fault zone. (2) The recrystallized hornblende aggregate is distributed in band with obvious nebulous texture, indicating the characteristics of anatexis, and the hornblendes are oriented and form the nearly horizontal stretching lineation; some hornblendes have titanite inclusions, and magmatic long\|columnar zircons are in directional arrangement.(3) The banded felsic material is developed, and the plagioclase is characteristic of high\|temperature plastic deformation and shows sinistral shear stain. (4) In mylonites, all the axis C fabric of quartz shows the feature of sinistral shearing and the majority is generally middle to low temperature fabric, but there also exists high temperature fabric, which suggests that high temperature shearing occur in the early stage of strike\|slip deformation and it is characterized by middle to low temperature shearing at the beginning of anatexis or in the late stage of the deformation. (5) On the XZ plane of mylonite and mylonitized rocks, there exists the consistent sinistral shear stain, which suggests the products of the same strike\|slip *** were separated from three samples of mylonitized gra

Experimental hydrodynamic assessment of a cylindrical-type floating solar system exposed to waves

In this paper,an experimental investigation on the wave loads and structural motions of two semi-fixed semi-immersed horizontal cylinders type rafts in the free surface zone is *** physical mod-els are tested at the 1:4.5 scale and exposed to a range of regular and irregular waves in a wave flume at Queen’s University *** physical models and experimental setup are discussed alongside an in-vestigation of the hydrodynamic phenomena,surge forces,and dynamic responses that each structure ex-hibits in the coastal wave ***,an investigation into the wave attenuation by both mod-els is carried *** results show that the surge forces have a positive correlation with wave steepness for both *** phenomena such as wave runup and overtopping,radiative damping and reflected waves,constructive interference,diffraction and flow separation were identified during the ex-periments.A negative mean heave displacement is observed during the monochromatic sea states which could result in impact loading and submergence of the superstructure components and photovoltaic pan-els at *** results presented in this paper may be used to calibrate and verify numerical models that calculate the global responses and hydrodynamic *** may also benefit the design processes of geometrically similar floating solar technologies by providing data on surge loads,motion responses and hydrodynamic observations.

最新研究表明贴身穿细美利奴羊毛的衣服对敏感型皮肤的皮疹有一定的治疗作用。为了确保这类过敏性皮肤穿着的舒适性,文章利用澳大利亚羊业合作研究中心的穿着试验数据和成衣,借助新近研发的羊毛舒适仪,对过敏性皮肤贴身穿轻薄毛织物的医用规格进行了研究。通过相关性分析发现:纯羊毛织物的刺痒性能很大程度上决定了穿着者的皮肤舒适度。进而通过使用多元变量主成分分析,辨别出人们对羊毛织物刺痒性能在不同的穿着环境和不同的活动强度下的感应模式,从而对织物的刺痒性能进行分类。最后通过对试穿服装的纤维细度和舒适度指数进行测试分析,确定了该类贴身穿毛织物的主要医用规格。包括舒适度指数不高于200,纤维的平均直径不大于17.5μm,直径大于25μm的纤维含量不高于2.0%。
