ALMA observations of the circumstellar envelope around EP Aqr

Atacama Large Millimetre/sub-millimetre Array(ALMA) observations of CO(1–0) and CO(2–1) emissions from the circumstellar envelope of the asymptotic giant branch(AGB) star EP Aqr have been made with four times better spatial resolution than previously available. They are analysed with emphasis on the de-projection in space of the effective emissivity and flux of matter using as input a prescribed configuration of the velocity field, assumed to be radial. The data are found to display an intrinsic axisymmetry with respect to an axis making a small angle with respect to the line of sight. A broad range of wind configurations, from prolate(bipolar) to oblate(equatorial) has been studied and found to be accompanied by significant equatorial emission. Qualitatively, the effective emissivity is enhanced near the equator to produce the central narrow component observed in the Doppler velocity spectra and its dependence on star latitude generally follows that of the wind velocity with the exception of an omni-present depression near the poles. In particular, large equatorial expansion velocities produce a flared disc or a ring of effective emissivity and mass loss. The effect on the determination of the orientation of the star axis of radial velocity gradients, and possibly competing rotation and expansion in the equatorial disc, is discussed. In general,the flux of matter is found to reach a broad maximum at distances of the order of 500 AU from the *** are given that may be used to favour one wind velocity distribution over another. As a result of the improved quality of the data, a deeper understanding of the constraints imposed on morphology and kinematics has been obtained.

Clinical Trial of Measles and Rubella Combined Vaccine Produced by POLYVAC in Vietnam

A clinical trial of measles and rubella combined vaccine (MR: MRVAC) produced by POLYVAC was conducted in Vietnam in 2016. A total of 756 subjects were enrolled, and 504 were allocated to MRVAC and 252 to control MR vaccine groups. Paired sera were obtained in 733, and the number of subjects was 403 aged 1 - 2 years, 164 aged 2 - 18 years, and 166 aged 18 - 45 years. Antibodies against measles and rubella viruses were evaluated by EIA. Most subjects had been immunized with a single dose of Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) measles vaccine at 9 months of age. Only 41 of 403 subjects aged 1 - 2 years were negative for measles antibody before vaccination, and all became seroconverted. A serological response of more than a 2-fold increase against measles was noted in 214 (47%, 95% CI;42.4% - 51.6%) of 458 initially seropositive individuals immunized with MRVAC and 65 (28%, 95% CI;22.3% - 33.8%) of 234 in the control group, and geometric mean titer (GMT) after vaccination was 25.49-5.60 in MRVAC and 25.03-5.24 in control group. Seroconversion against rubella virus after immunization with MRVAC was noted in 267 (98.5%, 95% CI;97.1% - 100%) of 271 initially seronegative subjects, similar to that after immunization with control group. GMT after immunization with MRVAC was 24.88-5.11 significantly lower than that after immunization with control vaccine (25.59-5.80). Most subject ≥ 2 years of age had rubella antibody because of MR vaccination campaign and no significant serological response was observed in initially seronegatives. MRVAC was highly immunogenic and safe vaccine and the domestic production of MR vaccine would contribute to realizing the goal of eliminating measles and rubella.

中越边境喀斯特地区有着异乎寻常的植物多样性,已经成为全球生物多样性研究和保护的热点区域,近年来在该区发现了多个苦苣苔科植物的新种或新属。凹柱苣苔属是2010年才被建立的新属,该属的花与叶相比,花较大,叶相对较小,叶片边缘稍外卷,花序仅单花,柱头盘状或凹坑状,蒴果长椭球形而有别于苦苣苔科的其他属。凹柱苣苔属为喀斯特专性植物,目前仅包括分布于黔西南的凹柱苣苔和分布于滇东南的水晶凹柱苣苔两个物种。作者在开展中越边境喀斯特地区植物多样性调查时,在越南北部的河江省发现了水晶凹柱苣苔,基于该新发现居群的植物标本,对其进行了补充描述,确认其花期为11月—12月,并对该物种濒危状况进行了重新评估,同时提供了野外生态照片以资辨认。目前,越南已记录苦苣苔科植物32属150余种,凹柱苣苔属在越南北部的发现,不仅丰富了该国苦苣苔科植物的多样性,再一次充分证明了中越边境喀斯特地区是一个完整的植物区系地理单元,而且为稀有的水晶凹柱苣苔提供了更加丰富的野外本底资料,对其将来的深入研究和保护具有重要的生物地理学和保护生物学意义。

This study aimed to determine the changes of cytokines,specific serum IgG and several parameters in chickens vaccinated with DNA vaccine encoding Eimeria brunetti apical membrane antigen-1(EbAMA1) ***-week-old chickens were divided into five groups(four groups for experiment)*** groups of chickens were immunized with DNA vaccine while control group of chickens were injected with pVAX1 plasmid alone or TE buffer *** immunizations were boosted 2weeks *** EbAMA1 specific IgG antibody responses were measured at weeks 1-6 post-second immunizations and several parameters were also *** result showed that the antibody titers in chickens vaccinated with DNA vaccines were significantly different from those of the control groups 1 week after the second immunization and reached the maximum values 3 weeks post-second ***-γconcentration was increased the highest level against EbAMAl of all chickens vaccinated with vaccines up to 56-fold,follow by the specific IgG antibody levels were increased 10-17-fold compared with those of TE solution and plasmid(pVAXl) control chickens 1-6 weeks post-second *** case of the levels of IL-10 and IL-17 was increased in experimental chickens with *** though it was statistically significant,TGF-p and IL-4 levels were higher in vaccinated than unvaccinated *** results suggested that DNA vaccines encoding *** apical membrane antigen-1(EbAMAl) could increase serum specific IgG antibody and cytokines concentration and could give protection against *** infection.

越南作为中国的邻国,与中国在文化和经济上的关系非常密切。近年来,中越之间的贸易关系愈发紧密,汉语和汉语人才变得越来越重要。虽然越南的很多高校都开设了中文专业,但在汉语教材编写方面的投入比较有限,导致教学质量受到很大影响。尤其是缺少更多的高质量、有针对性的口语教材,导致口语、阅读等课堂教学并无显著差异。所以,本文认为在开展汉语口语教学时,教师如果能够在教材上有更多的选择,再辅以合适的教学方法,教学效果会有很大改进。本文在进行研究时,主要针对越南汉语初中级口语教材的使用和编写情况和使用者对教材的使用需求进行探讨分析,研究框架主要分为五个部分。第一章,基于宏观层面,阐述本文的研究背景和意义,对国内外学者在编写本土化教材方面的成果进行梳理总结,并对本文开展研究的方法与思路等进行了简单的介绍。第二章,阐述越南汉语口语教材编写和使用情况,主要研究两个部分的内容。其一,对越南汉语教学概括进行简单的介绍。其二,本章对越南汉语口语教材出版情况和使用现状进行研究分析并厘清越南汉语口语教材的特点以及存在的问题。第三章,从使用者角度出发,利用问卷调查方法,调查越南编写和使用汉语教材存在的问题,以便更好地掌握学习者对于教材的实际需求。第四章,分析当前在越南开展汉语口语教学中使用较为广泛的《汉语会话301句》的编排结构、课文内容、词汇、语法和练习方面的编写特点,并在此基础上探讨该教材的优缺点。最后,就当前越南在编写汉语及口语教材存在的问题,提出相关建议和措施。

Environmental and External Costs of Yali Hydropower Plant and Policy Recommendations in Vietnam

The purpose of this study is to estimate the monetary value of the main environmental and external costs of Yali Hydropower Plant (YHPP) and to incorporate them into the financial viability indices of the plant, namely its net present value and electricity price. The results were found that if the electricity price is kept at its original level of 5.2 US cents/kWh to cover direct costs only, the net present value of the plant would be reduced to about 27% by incorporating environmental and external costs. Alternatively, the electricity price would have to be increased to 5.68 US cents/kWh in order to cover the full costs of YHPP and to maintain the original net present value. The main policy recommendations are: Government regulations should require that the financial analysis and appraisal of all future electricity sources include the full cost of these schemes, including not only direct costs but also environmental and external costs related to preventing or mitigating the environmental impact caused by them. An appropriate financial mechanism should be established to allocate the revenue from full cost electricity pricing to a fund to cover the environmental protection and compensation costs.
