OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy of bee venom acupuncture in humeroscapularis(PHS)***:One hundred and twenty patients diagnosed with PHS were assigned into four groups:BV1(0.01 mg/kg),BV2(0.005 mg/kg),BV3(0.0025 mg/kg),and control group(vitamin B1 plus novocain 3%injection)with 15 d of *** outcomes of the study including visual analogue scale(VAS)score andβ-endorphin,inflammatory cytokines including interleukin-10(IL-10),IL-1βand tumor necrosis factorα(TNF-α)and shoulder function score were assessed at baseline,after 10 and 15 d of ***:All four groups reported statistically significant improvement in VAS score,motion range,and shoulder function score(P<0.01),only the BV3 group showed significant increase of anti-inflammatory(IL-10)and decrease of pro-inflammatory(IL-1β,TNF-α)cytokines after treatment(P<0.05).The BV3 group presented a significant difference between all outcomes compared to the control and other ***:BV3 groups showed better recovery including reduced pain,improved motor function and normalized inflammatory cytokines than current therapy used in Vietnam and other groups.

Observations of the ^12CO（3–2） emission from the circumstellar envelope（CSE） of the variable star π1Gru using the compact array of the ALMA observatory have been recently made accessible to the public. An analysis of the morphology and kinematics of the CSE is presented with a result very similar to that obtained earlier for ^12CO（2–1） emission using the Submillimeter Array. A quantitative comparison is made using their flared disk model. A new model is presented that provides a significantly better description of the data, using radial winds and smooth evolutions of the radio emission and wind velocity from the stellar equator to the poles.

AIM:To understand retinopathy of prematurity(ROP)screening and treatment preferences among Chinese ***:A Chinese language survey was administered anonymously using Web Q(Catalyst,Seattle,WA,USA)among Chinese ROP screeners from December 2016 to January ***:Among 70 ophthalmologists contacted,65 responded(93%;78%female,mean age 40 y,57%pediatric ophthalmologists and 25%retina specialists).Most used screening criteria of birth weight≤2 kg(62%)with variation in cut-off gestational age(≤37 wk,34%;≤34 wk,22%;≤32 wk,31%).Ret Cam(Natus Medical Incorporated,Pleasanton,CA,USA)wide-field fundus photography assisted most screeners(72%)and was exclusively used by many(29%).Among 55 ophthalmologists treating ROP,anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)was preferred over laser for both zoneⅠ(76%vs 24%)and zoneⅡROP(58%vs 42%).Retina specialists(P=0.004)and ophthalmologists with>3 mo of training(P=0.03)were more likely to use antiVEGF over laser for zoneⅠ*** of laser training(8/20,40%),access(6/20,30%)and anesthesia(4/20,20%)were common barriers to laser ***:Chinese ROP screeners favor antiVEGF injection and Ret Cam imaging for ROP management.A better understanding of ROP screening and treatment informs future research and education efforts in China.

The concept of sustainable livelihood is an attempt to go beyond the conventional definitions and approaches to poverty eradication. These had been found to be too narrow because they focused only on certain aspects or manifestations of poverty, such as low income, or did not consider other vital aspects of poverty such as vulnerability and social exclusion. It is now recognized that more attention must be paid to the various factors and processes which either constrain or enhance poor people＇s ability to make a living in an economically, ecologically, and socially sustainable manner. Construction of nuclear power plants in Vietnam is in the first step of implementing and will be allocated in Thuan Nam and Ninh Hai districts, Ninh Thuan province, an agricultural and poor province in Vietnam. This requires a large area of land mobilized, thus a part of popupation living in the project area has to move far away. Besides the positive effects of this project, there are significantly negative impacts on the people living in the project areas and nearby, and their livelihoods are seriously affected. This paper aims at assessing the impact of the nuclear power plants construction on the livelihoods of people in two districts in Ninh Thuan province, in order to have mechanisms and policies to support reasonably and effectively, contributing to stabilize people＇s lives and local development.

In this paper,we establish a new algorithm to the non-overlapping Schwarz domain decomposition methods with changing transmission conditions for solving one dimensional advection reaction diffusion *** precisely,we first describe the new algorithm and prove the convergence results under several natural assumptions on the sequences of parameters which determine the transmission *** we give a simple method to estimate the new value of parameters in each *** interesting advantage of our method is that one may update the better parameters in each iteration to save the computational cost for optimizing the parameters after many *** some numerical experiments are performed to show the behavior of the convergence rate for the new method.

As the third largest city of Viemam, Danang is an economic, cultural, social and touristic center in the central region of Vietnam. The city is becoming increasingly popular among both domestic and international tourists. Its novelty natural landscapes, beautiful beach, central location and proximity to world cultural heritage sites are advantages to tourism development. Sustainable development is undoubtedly a significance objective for Danang by 2020. Accordingly, sustainable development concerns have been integrated in all economic policies, tourism management in general, and the environmental aspect in particular. The study reveals a collaboration between the city government and the accommodation businesses in dealing with environmental concems. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to provide a better understanding of the issue in Danang and then offer necessary recommendations for the city government to manage the tourism industry sustainably.

Objective: To evaluate the anti-arthritic effects of Polygonatum kingianum rhizome extract using both in vitro and in vivo ***: Lipopolysaccharide-induced RAW 264.7 macrophages were treated with an ethanol extract of Polygonatum kingianum rhizomes at different concentrations to determine nitric oxide and prostaglandin E2(PGE2) production. For in vivo study, Polygonatum kingianum ethanol extract was further investigated for its antiinflammatory effect in a mouse model with collagen antibodyinduced arthritis. Phytochemical study of Polygonatum kingianum ethanol extract was also ***: Saponins(142 mg/g total yield) was the main component in the Polygonatum kingianum ethanol extract. 5α,8α-ergosterol peroxide,(E,E)-9-oxooctadeca-10,12-dienoic acid and 3-(2?-hydroxy-4?-methoxy-benzyl)-5,7-dihydroxy-8-methyl-chroman-4-one were isolated from the extract. Polygonatum kingianum ethanol extract exhibited potential anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting nitric oxide and PGE2 production in RAW 264.7 cells in a dosedependent manner. The level of arthritis in mice with collagen antibody-induced arthritis was significantly reduced(P<0.01) after treatment with Polygonatum kingianum ethanol extract, particularly at a dose of 1 000 mg/kg body weight. Besides, the extract demonstrated the regulatory effects on serum tumor necrosis factoralpha, interleukin-6, and interleukin-10 in treated ***: Polygonatum kingianum ethanol extract has beneficial effects on inflammatory cytokine regulation and PGE2 inhibition in an experimental mouse model with collagen antibody-induced arthritis. The phytochemical screening reveals that the saponin, as the main component, and sterols(daucosterol and 5α,8α-ergosterol peroxide) from Polygonatum kingianum ethanol extract may contribute to its promising in vitro and in vivo anti-inflammatory activities.

Evaluation of Weathering Performance of Rosin-Copper Based Treated Wood

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of natural weathering on some surface characteristics and mechanical properties of Styrax wood treated with mixtures of 1.0%,2.0%,or 4.0%rosin sizing agent and 3%copper *** samples after treatment were exposed to outdoor conditions for one year and changes in color,glossiness,weight loss,compression strength parallel to grain(CSPG),modulus of rupture(MOR),and modulus of elasticity(MOE)were investigated after 6 and 12-month of natural *** results showed that rosin-copper treatment could improve color stability and gloss of samples after *** losses of all rosin-copper treated samples after 12 months of exposure were negligible compared with the untreated control *** addition,rosin-copper treatment enhanced the CSPG compared to untreated controls,but slightly decreased the MOR and MOE of Styrax wood before *** weathering factors induced a reduction for all strength properties,however,the decrease rate for strength properties of rosin-copper treated samples was negligible compared with the untreated control samples after 12-month natural weathering *** FTIR and SEM-EDX confirmed that the use of the rosin-copper formulations to impregnate wood could decrease the hazard of the copper preservative leaching into the environment,while also enhancing more resistance against weathering factors and other biotic factors.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effectiveness of cycling in combination with electroacupuncture in treatment of poststroke hemiplegia patients at National Hospital of Acupuncture,***:The study was designed as a single-centre,outcome-assessor-blinded parallel randomised controlled trial with 120 post-stroke hemiplegia patients randomly assigned into two groups:electroacupuncture plus cycling(CT group) and electroacupuncture(AT group).Patients were assessed before and after the treatment(using muscle grading,modified Rankin,Barthel,Orgorozo scores and electromyography).Statistical Man–Whitney U test,and Fisher’s exact tests were used to compare between CT and AT ***:The results reported statistically significant improvement in motor function in patients suffering from hemiplegia following ischemic stroke in both CT and AT *** in CT group experienced a greater improvement compared to those in AT group including better muscle contraction(increased frequency and amplitude of electromyography and increased muscle grading scale);increased recovery(Orgogozo scale),increased independency(Barthel scale) and decreased disability(Modified Rankin scale)(P < 0.01).CONCLUSIONS:Combination with cycling training significantly improves the recovery of post-stroke patients treated with electroacupuncture.
