Effectiveness of bee venom acupuncture for patients suffering from periarthritis humeroscapularis

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy of bee venom acupuncture in humeroscapularis(PHS)***:One hundred and twenty patients diagnosed with PHS were assigned into four groups:BV1(0.01 mg/kg),BV2(0.005 mg/kg),BV3(0.0025 mg/kg),and control group(vitamin B1 plus novocain 3%injection)with 15 d of *** outcomes of the study including visual analogue scale(VAS)score andβ-endorphin,inflammatory cytokines including interleukin-10(IL-10),IL-1βand tumor necrosis factorα(TNF-α)and shoulder function score were assessed at baseline,after 10 and 15 d of ***:All four groups reported statistically significant improvement in VAS score,motion range,and shoulder function score(Pgroup showed significant increase of anti-inflammatory(IL-10)and decrease of pro-inflammatory(IL-1β,TNF-α)cytokines after treatment(Pgroup presented a significant difference between all outcomes compared to the control and other ***:BV3 groups showed better recovery including reduced pain,improved motor function and normalized inflammatory cytokines than current therapy used in Vietnam and other groups.

Aquatic contamination of diclofenac(DCF),an emergent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug(NSAIDs),can result in adverse effects to many ecosystems through ***,introducing effective remediation techniques to sequester the pharmaceutical wastes is highly fundamental to prevent their accumulation in the ***,adsorption has been presented as a green and efficient ***,we report the characterization and application of the novel magnetic nanocomposite(gO@CoFe2O4)derived from cobalt-based ferrite(CoFe2O4)and graphene oxide(gO)for DCF *** the optimization procedure,the response surface methodology(RSM)was adopted to investigate the impacts of DCF concentration(1.6-18.4 mg/L),DCF dosage(0.08-0.92 g/L),and solution pH(2.6-9.4)to find the optimum conditions for DCF removal,at 10.5 mg/L,0.74 g/L,and pH 4,*** the adsorption experiments,the kinetic,isotherm,thermodynamic,and intraparticle diffusion models were systematically ***,we have elucidated the role of functional groups on the surface of gO@CoFe2O4 in enhancing the adsorption of DCF *** good removal efficiency(up to 86.1%),high maximum adsorption capacity(32.4 mg/g),gO@CoFe2O4 can be a potential candidate to eliminate DCF drug from water.

Interactions between materials and electromagnetic irradiations in the microwave frequency are critical for many civil and military applications, such as radar detection, communications, information processing and transport et al. Dipole rotations or magnetic domain resonance are the mainly traditional mechanisms for microwave absorption. The recent finding of the excellent microwave absorption from hydrogenated TiO2 nanoparticles provides us an alternative approach for achieving such absorption, by manipulating the structural defects inside nanoparticles through hydrogenation. In this study, we demonstrate that the microwave absorption can be not only achieved but fine-tuned with TiO2 nanoparticles thermally treated in a Mg/H2 environment. Their position and efficiency can be effectively controlled by the treating temperature. Specifically, the microwave absorption position shifts to the lower frequency region as the treating temperature increases, and there seems to exist an optimal treating temperature to obtain the maximum efficiency, as the absorbing efficiency first increases, and then decreases, with the increase in treatment temperature. Therefore, this study enriches our knowledge and understanding microwave absorption from TiO2-based nanomaterials which may inspire new ideas on other systems to enhance their performance as well.

The human visual sensitivity to the flickering light has been under investigation for *** finding of research in this area can contribute to the understanding of human visual system mechanism and visual disorders,and establishing diagnosis and treatment of *** aim of this study is to investigate the ffects of the flickering light to the visual cortex by monitoring the hemodynamic responses of the brain with the functional near infrared spectrosoopy(ENIRS)*** the acquired fNIRS signals are afected by physiological factors and measurement artifacts,constrained independent component analysis(eICA)was applied to extract the actual fNIRS responses from the obtained *** experimental results revealed significant changes(pg stimulation was *** the uses of cICA,the contrast to noise ratio(CNR),reflecting the contrast of hemodynamic concentration between rest and task,became *** indicated the improvement of the NIRS signals when the noise was *** subsequent studies,statistical analysis was used to infer the correlation between the NIRS signals and the visual *** found that there was a slight decrease of the oxygenated hemoglobin con-centration(about 5.69%)over four frequencies when the modulation ***,the variations of oxy and deoxy-hemoglobin were not statistically significant.

The groundwater potential map is an important tool for a sustainable water management and land use planning,particularly for agricultural countries like *** this article,we proposed new machine learning ensemble techniques namely AdaBoost ensemble(ABLWL),Bagging ensemble(BLWL),Multi Boost ensemble(MBLWL),Rotation Forest ensemble(RFLWL)with Locally Weighted Learning(LWL)algorithm as a base classifier to build the groundwater potential map of gia Lai province in *** this study,eleven conditioning factors(aspect,altitude,curvature,slope,Stream transport Index(STI),Topographic Wetness Index(TWI),soil,geology,river density,rainfall,land-use)and 134 wells yield data was used to create training(70%)and testing(30%)datasets for the development and validation of the *** statistical indices were used namely Positive Predictive Value(PPV),Negative Predictive Value(NPV),Sensitivity(SST),Specificity(SPF),Accuracy(ACC),Kappa,and Receiver Operating Characteristics(ROC)curve to validate and compare performance of *** show that performance of all the models is good to very good(AUC:0.75 to 0.829)but the ABLWL model with AUC=0.89 is the *** the models applied in this study can support decision-makers to streamline the management of the groundwater and to develop economy not only of specific territories but also in other regions across the world with minor changes of the input parameters.

A multiphase computational fluid dynamics(CFD)model coupled with the population balance equation(PBE)was developed in a homogeneous air-kerosene bubble column under elevated pressure(P).The specific pressure drop(ΔP/L),gas holdup(α_(g)),and Sauter mean diameter(d_(32))were experimentally measured in the bubble column with 1.8 m height and 0.1 m inner diameter,which was operated at a superficial gas velocity of 12.3 mm·s^(-1),and P=1-35 bar(1 bar=10^(5) Pa).A modified drag coefficient model was proposed to consider the effect of bubble swarm and pressure on hydrodynamics of the bubble *** Luo breakage model was modified to account for liquid density,viscosity,surface tension and gas ***ΔP/L,α_(g),and d_(32) obtained from the CFD model were compared with experimental data,and the gas density-dependent parameters of the CFD model were *** increasing P from 1 to 35 bar,theα_(g) varied from 5.4%to 7.2% and the d32 decreased from 2.3 to 1.5 *** CFD-PBE model is applicable to predict hydrodynamics of pressurized bubble columns for gas-organic liquid in the homogeneous regime.
