Additive manufacturing has rapidly evolved over recent years with the advent of polymer inks and those inks containing novel *** compatibility of polymer inks with nanomaterial inks remains a great *** yet effective methods for interface improvement are highly sought-after to significantly enhance the functional and mechanical properties of printed polymer *** this study,we developed and modified a Ti_(3)C_(2) MXene ink with a siloxane surfactant to provide compatibility with a polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)*** rheology of all the inks was investigated with parameters such as complex modulus and viscosity,confirming a self-supporting ink behaviour,whilst Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy exposed the inks’reaction *** modified MXene nanosheets have displayed strong interactions with PDMS over a wide strain *** electrical conductivity of 6.14×10^(−2) S cm^(−1) was recorded for a stretchable nanocomposite conductor containing the modified MXene *** nanocomposite revealed a nearly linear stress-strain relationship and a maximum stress of 0.25 *** 5%strain,the relative resistance change remained below 35%for up to 100 cycles,suggesting high flexibility,conductivity and mechanical *** study creates a pathway for 3D printing conductive polymer/nanomaterial inks for multifunctional applications such as stretchable electronics and sensors.

The article introduces a finite element procedure using the bilinear quadrilateral element or four-node rectangular element(namely Q4 element) based on a refined first-order shear deformation theory(rFSDT) and Monte Carlo simulation(MCS), so-called refined stochastic finite element method to investigate the random vibration of functionally graded material(FGM) plates subjected to the moving *** advantage of the proposed method is to use r-FSDT to improve the accuracy of classical FSDT, satisfy the stress-free condition at the plate boundaries, and combine with MCS to analyze the vibration of the FGM plate when the parameter inputs are random quantities following a normal distribution. The obtained results show that the distribution characteristics of the vibration response of the FGM plate depend on the standard deviation of the input parameters and the velocity of the moving ***, the numerical results in this study are expected to contribute to improving the understanding of FGM plates subjected to moving loads with uncertain input parameters.

Structural and luminescent properties of (Eu,Tb) PO_4·H_2O nanorods/nanowires prepared by microwave technique

Nanowires/nanorods of europium/terbium orthophosphate monohydrate with Eu^3＋ concentration of 6, 11, and 20 at.% were prepared by microwave synthesis method. The effects of Eu^3＋ doping concentration on structure, morphology and optical properties of nanomaterials were also investigated. The results showed that, for all studied Eu^3＋ doping concentrations, a single-crystalline phase of rhabdophane-type （Eu,Tb）PO4·H2O nanowires/nanorods was obtained by using microwave heating of an aqueous solution of terbium（Ⅲ） nitrate, europium（Ⅲ） nitrate and NH4H2PO4 with pH=2. The length and width of these nanowires/nanorods ranged from 150 to 300 nm and from 10 to 50 nm, respectively. The evidence of energy transfer from Tb^3＋ to Eu^3＋ due to the energy overlap between the donor Tb^3＋ and the acceptor Eu^3＋was observed obviously via a significant enhancement in the luminescent intensity of Eu^3＋. We report new heterogeneous organocatalyst based on silica hybrid supported N-heterocyclic carbene(NHC-)*** organocatalyst is formed from an imidazolium iodide based ionosilica material,followed by iodide/acetate anion *** imidazolium acetate generates the organocatalytic carbene via partial deprotonation of the imidazolium ring in *** monitored via EDX,solid state NMR and ion chromatography measurements,the iodide/acetate exchange involving the imidazolium ionosilica material took place only in small *** the fact that the exchanged material contains only a very small amount of acetate,we observed good catalytic activity and recyclability in cyanosilylation reactions of ketones with trimethylsilyl *** versatility of the catalyst was highlighted via reaction with several substrates,yielding the corresponding cyanohydrins in good *** recycling experiments,the material showed decreasing catalytic activity starting from the third reaction cycle,but high catalytic activity can be regenerated via another acetate *** work is important as it highlights the possibility to combine carbene chemistry and silica,which are antagonistic at a first *** show that imidazolium acetate based ionosilicas are therefore heterogeneous'proto-carbenes',and that there is no need to form strongly basic silica supported NHCs to obtain heterogeneous *** work therefore opens the route towards heterogeneous and re-usable NHC-organocatalysts from supported ionic liquid imidazolium acetates.

Development of a Peristaltic Micropump for Bio-Medical Applications Based on Mini LIPCA

This paper presents the design, fabrication, and experimental characterization of a peristaltic micropump. The micropump is composed of two layers fabricated from Polydimethylsiloxane （PDMS） material. The first layer has a rectangular channel and two valve seals. Three rectangular mini lightweight piezo-composite actuators are integrated in the second layer, and used as actuation parts. Two layers are bonded, and covered by two Polymethyl Methacrylate （PMMA） plates, which help increase the stiffness of the micropump. A maximum flow rate of 900μ*** 1 and a maximum backpressure of 1.8 kPa are recorded when water is used as pump liquid. We measured the power consumption of the micropump. The micropump is found to be a promising candidate for bio-medical application due to its bio-compatibility, portability, bidirectionality, and simple effective design.

Sphenomorphus incognitus is recorded for the first time outside of China. The new locality record is from the Tay Yen Tu Nature Reserve in Bac Giang Province, northeastern Vietnam at elevations between 200–450 m. Based on the newly collected specimens, we present an expanded description and provide data on the natural history of this species in northern Vietnam.
