Multiple reference optical coherence tomography（MR-OCT） is a recently developed, low-cost and compact time-domain OCT solution for primary care and consumer level applications. A combination of a voice coil actuator and a partial mirror（PM） extends the scan range for imaging depths of approximately 1 mm in biological samples. Our previous research on MR-OCT is based only on intensity information obtained from the depth-resolved interference signal. In this Letter, we extract the phase information from the MR-OCT signal and, hence, provide an additional contrast modality. The phase sensitivity of the system is measured to be approximately 0.2 and 1.5 rad for the first and twelfth orders of reflection when using a mirror as the *** Letter describes first results of phase-sensitive data measured on a phantom obtained with MR-OCT. Data from a chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane（CAM） is used to demonstrate the feasibility of MR-OCT for in vivo phase-sensitive imaging.

There is no doubt that land cover and climate changes have consequences on landslide activity,but it is still an open issue to assess and quantify their *** County in southwest China was selected as the test area to study rainfall-induced shallow landslide susceptibility under the future changes of land use and land cover(LULC)and *** used a high-resolution meteorological precipitation dataset and frequency distribution model to analyse the present extreme and antecedent rainfall conditions related to landslide *** future climate change factors were obtained from a 4-member multimodel ensemble that was derived from statistically downscaled regional climate *** future LULC maps were simulated by the land change modeller(LCM)integrated into IDRISI Selva software.A total of six scenarios were defined by considering the rainfall(antecedent conditions and extreme events)and LULC changes towards two time periods(mid and late XXI century).A physically-based model was used to assess landslide susceptibility under these different *** results showed that the magnitude of both antecedent effective recharge and event rainfall in the region will evidently increase in the *** the scenario with a return period of 100 years,the antecedent rainfall in summer will increase by up to 63%whereas the event rainfall will increase by up to 54%for the late 21st *** most considerable changes of LULC will be the increase of forest cover and the decrease of farming *** magnitude of this change can reach+22.1%(forest)and–9.2%(farmland)from 2010 until 2100,*** found that the negative impact of climate change on landslide susceptibility is greater than the stabilizing effect of LULC change,leading to an over decrease in stability over the study *** is one of the first studies across Asia to assess and quantify changes of regional landslide susceptibility under scenarios driven by LULC and climate ***

Objective: To examine college-aged students’ sexual risk taking behavior and their knowledge level. Design: descriptive design participants. Setting: A convenience sample of college-aged students between the ages of 17 - 25. Results: Seven hundred and seventy students responded to the survey. Findings revealed that 33% had sexual intercourse with two to five individuals, and 15.5% between eleven and twenty sexual partners. 50.9% had unprotected vaginal intercourse not using condoms and of those 45.8% either do not insist on condom use or only use them occasionally. 22.1% do not insist on using condoms for sexual intercourse and 24.7% responded that they sometimes insist on condom use. 47.2% are not worried about getting AIDS. 41.3% are not concerned with genital lesions. 42.4% would rate themselves as not being very knowledgeable about sexually transmitted infections. 12.4% of the females had unintended pregnancies and overall 74.9% would not feel comfortable discussing their sexual activity with their mothers. 58.1% use alcohol prior to or during sexual intercourse.

In recent years,volatile fatty acid(VFA)production through anaerobic fermentation of sewage sludge,instead of methane production,has been regarded as a high-value and promising roadmap for sludge stabilization and resource *** review first presents the effects of some essential factors that influence VFA production and *** the second part,we present an extensive analysis of conventional pretreatment and co-fermentation strategies ultimately addressed to improving VFA production and ***,the effectiveness of these approaches is summarized in terms of sludge degradation,hydrolysis rate,and VFA production and *** to published studies,it is concluded that some pretreatments such as alkaline and thermal pretreatment are the most effective ways to enhance VFA production from sewage *** possible reasons for the improvement of VFA production by different methods are also ***,this review also highlights several current technical challenges and opportunities in VFA production with spectrum control,and further related research is proposed.
