AI(artificial intelligence)techniques play a crucially important role in predicting the expected energy outcome and its performance,analysis,modeling and control of renewable *** energy usage has grown exponentially over the *** the face of global energy consumption and increased depletion of most fossil fuel,the world is faced with the challenges of meeting the ever-increasing energy demands,also utility companies who provide solar energy have a challenge of unstable input of solar energy to the grid due to its intermittent nature,unlike other sources,hence the difference between expected generation and actual generation,demand and supply can lead to an unbalanced ***,incorporating accurately machine learning technology to predict the expected outcome of solar energy from the intermittent solar radiation will be crucial to keep a balance grid operation between supply and demand,production planning and energy management especially during installations of a photovoltaic power ***,one of the major problems of forecasting is the algorithms used to control,model,and predict performances of the energy systems which are complicated and involve large computer power,differential equations,and time *** having unreliable data(poor quality)for solar radiation over a geographical location as well as insufficient long series can be a bottleneck to *** overcome these problems,we employ the Anaconda Navigator(Jupyter Notebook)for machine learning which can combine large amounts of data with fast,iterative processing and intelligent algorithms allowing the software to learn automatically from patterns or features to predict the performance and outcome of Solar Energy which in turn enables the balance between supply and demand on loads,efficient operation of the utility company as well as enhances power production planning and management.

In this review,we describe our research on the development of the 13.5 nm coherent microscope using high-order harmonics for the mask inspection of extreme ultraviolet(EUV)*** lithography is a game-changing piece of technology for high-volume manufacturing of commercial *** top manufacturers apply EUV technology for fabricating the most critical layers of 7 nm *** and inspection of defect-free masks,however,still remain critical issues in EUV ***,in our pursuit for a resolution,we have developed the coherent EUV scatterometry microscope(CSM)system with a synchrotron radiation(SR)source to establish the actinic metrology,along with inspection *** intensity and phase images of patterned EUV masks were reconstructed from diffraction patterns using ptychography *** expedite the practical application of the CSM,we have also developed a standalone CSM,based on high-order harmonic generation,as an alternative to the *** the application of a coherent 13.5 nm harmonic enabled the production of a high contrast diffraction pattern,diffraction patterns of sub-100 ns size defects in a 2D periodic pattern mask could be *** of intensity and phase images from diffraction patterns were also performed for a periodic line-and-space structure,an aperiodic angle edge structure,as well as a cross pattern in an EUV mask.

Effect of educational intervention on attitudes toward the concept of criminal responsibility

AIM To evaluate the effect of educational intervention on individuals' knowledge of and attitudes toward forensic mental *** We conducted a questionnaire regarding attitudes toward various ideas about forensic mental health. The respondents attended a 1-h seminar regarding forensic mental health after answering the questionnaire. On completion of the seminar, the respondents answered another questionnaire containing many of the same questions as contained in the pre-seminar *** A total of 86 individuals attended the seminar, and 78 responded to the questionnaire. Only 13(18.8%) participants were supportive of the concept of criminal responsibility initially, and there was a statistically significant increase in those who became more supportive after the seminar, with 22(33%) being supportive after the seminar(Wilcoxon signed-rank test, P < 0.001). Logistic regression analysis revealed that participants who were skeptical about forensic mental systems and those with fewer opportunities to see media reports regarding psychiatry were likely to become supportive of criminal responsibility after the *** These results suggest that public attitudes toward criminal responsibility and mental health can be influenced via educational interventions.

A fiberform nanostructure was synthesized by exposing high-density helium plasma to a 100 nm thick tungsten thin film in the linear plasma device *** helium plasma exposure,the cross-section of samples was observed by a scanning electron microscope,transmission electron microscope,and focused ion beam scanning electron *** is shown that the thickness of the nanostructured layer increases significantly for only a short irradiation *** optical absorptivity remains high,even though it is exposed to helium plasma for a short *** usage of the thin film can shorten the processing time for nanostructure growth,which will be beneficial for commercial production.

Approximately ten years have passed since Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems(GIAHS)was introduced to Japan in 2011,with 11 GIAHS sites designated so *** Japan Nationally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems(J-NIAHS),which considers resilience,multi-stakeholder participation and sixth industrialization,was subsequently established in 2016,and has designated 15 J-NIAHS *** sites can be classified into three major types:Landscape,farming method,and genetic resource conservation types,and most Japanese GIAHS sites are of the landscape *** there is almost no national subsidy for GIAHS or J-NIAHS,designated sites are expected to secure funding for conservation from their own *** this reason,a voluntary network of the Japanese GIAHS sites has been active in promoting cooperation on GIAHS *** priorities of the Japanese GIAHS have focused on raising public awareness about GIAHS and J-NIAHS,improving livelihoods,as well as fostering the international exchange of experience and knowledge regarding Agricultural Heritage Systems,especially among Japan,China and Korea.

AIM To investigate the detrimental impact of loss of reservoir capacity by comparing total gastrectomy(TGRY) and distal gastrectomy with the same Rouxen-Y(DGRY) reconstruction. The study was conducted using an integrated questionnaire, the Postgastrectomy Syndrome Assessment Scale(PGSAS)-45, recently developed by the Japan Postgastrectomy Syndrome Working *** The PGSAS-45 comprises 8 items from the Short Form-8, 15 from the Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale, and 22 newly selected items. Uni-and multivariate analysis was performed on 868 questionnaires completed by patients who underwent either TGRY(n = 393) or DGRY(n = 475) for stage I gastric cancer(52 institutions). Multivariate analysis weighed of six explanatory variables, including the type of gastrectomy(TGRY/DGRY), interval after surgery, age, gender, surgical approach(laparoscopic/open), and whether the celiac branch of the vagus nerve was preserved/divided on the quality of life(QOL).RESULTS The patients who underwent TGRY experienced the poorer QOL compared to DGRY in the 15 of 19 main outcome measures of PGSAS-45. Moreover, multiple regression analysis indicated that the type of gastrectomy, TGRY, most strongly and broadly impaired the postoperative QOL among six explanatory variables. CONCLUSION The results of the present study suggested that TGRY had a certain detrimental impact on the postoperative QOL, and the loss of reservoir capacity could be a major cause.

AIM: To determine the bowel symptoms associated with diabetes and diabetes-related factors after excluding gastrointestinal (GI) organic ***: Participants were 4738 (603 diabetic and 4135 non-diabetic) patients who underwent colonoscopy and completed a questionnaire. On the day of pre-colonoscopy, 9 symptoms (borborygmus, abdominal distension, increased flatus, constipation, diarrhea, loose stools, hard stools, fecal urgency, and incomplete evacuation) were prospectively evaluated on a 7-point Likert scale. The test-retest reliability of the bowel symptom scores from the baseline and second questionnaires was analyzed using kappa statistics. Associations between bowel symptom scores and diabetes or diabetes-related factors were analyzed by a rank-ordered logistic model adjusted for related confounders, and odds ratios (ORs) were ***: In multivariate analysis, constipation [adjusted odds ratio (AOR) = 1.57, CI: 1.33-1.85, P < 0.01] and hard stools (AOR = 1.56, CI: 1.33-1.84, P < 0.01) were associated with diabetes, and fecal urgency (AOR = 1.16, CI: 0.99-1.37, P = 0.07) and incomplete evacuation (AOR = 1.16, CI: 1.00-1.36, P = 0.06) were marginally associated with diabetes. These symptoms remained associated even after excluding organic GI diseases on colonoscopy. Test-retest reliability of symptom score with a mean duration of 3.2 mo was good (mean kappa, 0.69). Associations of symptoms with diabetes-related factors were found; constipation with HbA1c ≥ 8.0% (AOR = 2.11, CI: 1.19-3.73), body mass index (BMI) < 25 (AOR = 2.11, CI: 1.22-3.66), and insulin use (AOR = 1.90, CI: 1.08-3.36); hard stools with diabetes duration (AOR = 1.03, CI: 1.00-1.07); fecal urgency with BMI < 25 (AOR = 1.73, CI: 1.00-2.98); and incomplete evacuation with BMI < 25 (AOR = 2.60, CI: 1.52-4.43), serum creatinine level (AOR = 1.27, CI: 1.10-1.47), and insulin use (AOR = 1.92, CI: 1.09-3.38).CONCLUSION: Diabetes is as

Tacrolimus for the Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease in a Dog

A 2-year-old intact female Toy poodle was referred with a 2-week history of diarrhea. Blood examination findings indicated thrombocytosis, severe hypoproteinemia, and hypoalbuminemia;endoscopy revealed duodenal mucosal irregularity and increased graininess. Based on these results and additional histopathological findings, we made a diagnosis of protein-losing enteropathy caused by lymphocytic-plasmacytic enteritis with lymphangiectasia. The dog was initially treated with prednisolone. Improvement was only observed with high-dose prednisolone;its dose could not be reduced without relapse. When cyclosporin, methotrexate, and chlorambucil were combined with prednisolone, no further beneficial effect was observed. When tacrolimus was combined with prednisolone, improvement was seen and the dose of prednisolone could be reduced. Tacrolimus is both a calcineurin inhibitor and a multi-drug-resistant inhibitor, so it may be an effective treatment choice for a dog refractory to standard inflammatory bowel disease treatment. This is the first report of tacrolimus for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease in dogs.
