Fabrication of a Gradient Nano-/Micro-structured Surface Layer on an Al–Si Casting Alloy by Means of Ultrasonic–Electropulsing Coupling Rolling Process

By using a novel surface modification technique named ultrasonic-electropulsing coupling rolling （UECR） process on an Al-Si casting alloy rod, the surface of material was smoothened significantly. Meanwhile, a strengthened layer with agradient change in hardness was obtained in the outer surface, corresponding to a homogeneous gradient nano-/micro-structure. The thickness of nanometer-thick laminated structures was at least 40 μm, which was much thicker thanconventional ultrasonic rolling process. During UECR, the formation of the well-defined nanocrystalline structure wasattributed to the high strain rate and simultaneous annealing process realized by ultrasonic impact and electropulsingtreatment.

大量成本管理文献对于成本性态的研究已由成本动因与成本构成的数理关系转向识别对成本有重大影响的管理者决策。此文借助日本财务报告环境中的一个新特点,对销售及管理费用(selling, general, and administrative expenses,SG&A)子类的成本性态进行研究,丰富了该类文献。通过大量东京证券交易所上市公司的样本,我们首先确认了总销售及管理费用呈现不对称的前人所熟知的结果,随后表明该结果是由员工薪资、高管薪酬和租金费用的不对称性所致。相比之下,加总占总销售及管理费用超过50%的费用子类——运输费、销售佣金、销售费用、广告费、研发费用和其他销售及管理费用——并未呈现出不对称性。本文分析了这一结论背后可能的原因,并探讨了这些结论的管理学意义。总之,管理者的成本管理决策对销售及管理费用子类所产生的影响不同,并非所有销售及管理费用都具有不对称性。

BACKGROUND Phlegmonous gastritis(PG)is a rare bacterial infectious disease characterized by neutrophil-based purulent inflammation of the gastric *** most representative causative bacterium is Streptococcus pyogenes,followed by Staphylococcus,Pneumococcus and *** portal venous gas(HPVG)is considered a potentially fatal condition and is rarely associated with *** SUMMARY The white blood cell count of a 70-year-old woman with acute lymphocytic leukemia in complete remission dropped to 100/μL after consolidation *** vital signs were consistent with septic *** blood culture revealed the presence of Bacillus *** computed tomography(CT)and esophagogastroduodenoscopy(EGD)showed marked thickening of the gastric *** with the other findings,CT was suggestive of HPVG,and EGD showed pseudomembrane-like tissue covering the superficial *** examination of gastric biopsy specimens showed mostly necrotic tissue with lymphocytes rather than *** of gastric specimens revealed the presence of Bacillus *** finally diagnosed this case as PG with Bacillus cereus-induced sepsis and *** patient recovered successfully with conservative treatment,chiefly by using carbapenem *** The histopathological finding of this gastric biopsy specimen should be called"neutropenic necrotizing gastritis".

Thyroid hormone alterations in trauma patients requiring massive transfusion: An observational study

BACKGROUND: Although non-thyroidal illness syndrome(NTIS) is considered a negative prognostic factor, the alterations in free triiodothyronine(f T3) levels in trauma patients requiring massive transfusion have not been ***: A prospective observational study comparing 2 groups of trauma patients was conducted. Group M comprised trauma patients requiring massive transfusions(>10 units of packed red blood cells) within 24 hours of emergency admission. Group C comprised patients with an injury severity score >9 but not requiring massive transfusions. Levels of f T3, free thyroxine(f T4), and thyroidstimulating hormone(TSH) were evaluated on admission and on days 1, 2, and 7 after admission. The clinical backgrounds and variables measured including total transfusion amounts were compared and the inter-group prognosis was evaluated. Results are presented as mean±standard ***: Nineteen patients were enrolled in each group. In both groups, 32 were men, and the mean age was 50±24 years. In group C one patient died from respiratory failure. The initial f T3 levels in group M(1.95±0.37 pg/m L) were signifi cantly lower than those in group C(2.49±0.72 pg/m L; P<0.01) and remained low until 1 week after admission. Initial inter-group f T4 and TSH levels were not significantly different. TSH levels at 1 week(1.99±1.64 μIU/m L) were higher than at admission(1.48±0.5 μIU/m L) in group C(P<0.05).CONCLUSION: Typical NTIS was observed in trauma patients requiring massive transfusions. When initial resuscitation achieved circulatory stabilization, prognosis was not strongly associated with NTIS.
