Classification of weed seeds based on visual images and deep learning

Weeds are mainly spread by weed seeds being mixed with agricultural and forestry crop seeds,grain,animal hair,and other plant products,and disturb the growing environment of target plants such as crops and wild native *** accurate and efficient classification of weed seeds is important for the effective management and control of ***,classification remains mainly dependent on destructive sampling-based manual inspection,which has a high cost and rather low *** considered that this problem could be solved using a nondestructive intelligent image recognition ***,on the basis of the establishment of the image acquisition system for weed seeds,images of single weed seeds were rapidly and completely segmented,and a total of 47696 samples of 140 species of weed seeds and foreign materials ***,six popular and novel deep Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)models are compared to identify the best method for intelligently identifying 140 species of weed *** these samples,33600 samples are randomly selected as the training dataset for model training,and the remaining 14096 samples are used as the testing dataset for model *** and GoogLeNet emerged from the quantitative evaluation as the best *** has strong classification accuracy and efficiency(low time consumption),and GoogLeNet has the best classification accuracy.A suitable CNN model for weed seed classification could be selected according to specific identification accuracy requirements and time costs of *** research is beneficial for developing a detection system for weed seeds in various *** resolution of taxonomic issues and problems associated with the identi-fication of these weed seeds may allow for more effective management and control.

Simulation and experimental study on drag reduction and anti-adhesion of subsoiler with bionic surface

A new subsoiler with placoid scale microstructure bionic surface was proposed which mimicked shark skin to reduce tillage resistance and soil adhesion during subsoiling *** contour curves of placoid scale microstructure on shark skin were fitted,and two kinds of bionic subsoiler with continuous and discontinuous microstructures were designed and fabricated,*** effects of different bionic surfaces on tillage resistance were investigated by finite element simulation and *** results indicated that the bionic subsoiler with discontinuous microstructure reduced the horizontal and vertical force by 21.3%and 24.8%,*** subsoiler with discontinuous microstructure surface can prevent the adhesion between the soil and subsoiler surface more efficiently.

近年,食品安全问题逐渐受到重视,食品安全检测方法除了常用的简单化学分析、仪器分析,还发展出一些新兴检测方法如纸基微型分析系统等,但均有一定局限性。本研究综述了DNA介导的金纳米材料在食品安全检测领域的研究进展,DNA作为一种覆盖剂,被应用于介导金属纳米粒子种子形态的转变和性能的增强,其中金纳米性质最为优良;介绍了其形成机制,系统地总结了由物理吸附和硫代DNA介导的具有不同形态的金纳米材料,并介绍了这些材料的稳定性、识别特性、光学特性、催化特性、生物相容性及其生物传感应用。本研究为DNA介导的纳米材料的生长及其在生物传感等领域的应用奠定了基础。

Viruses often manipulate ubiquitination pathways to facilitate their replication and ***2ZYG11B known as the substrate receptor of cullin-2 RING E3 ligase,is bound by SARS-CoV-2 ORF10 to increase its E3 ligase activity,leading to degradation of IFT46,a protein component of the intraflagellar transport(IFT)complex *** results in dysfunctional cilia,which explains certain symptoms that are specific to ***,the precise molecular mechanism of how ORF10 recognizes CUL2ZYG11B remains ***,we determined the crystal structure of CUL2ZYG11B complexed with the N-terminal extension(NTE)of SARS-CoV-2 ORF10(2.9 A°).The structure reveals that the ORF10 N-terminal heptapeptide(NTH)mimics the Gly/N-degron to bind *** studies identified key residues within ORF10 that are key players in its interaction with CUL2ZYG11B both in ITC assay and in vivo *** addition,we prove that enhancement of CUL2ZYG11B activity for IFT46 degradation by which ORF10-mediated correlates with the binding affinity between ORF10 and ***,we used a Global Protein Stability system to show that the NTH of ORF10 mimics the Gly/N-degron motif,thereby binding competitively to CUL2ZYG11B and inhibiting the degradation of target substrates bearing the Gly/N-degron ***,this study sheds light on how SARS-CoV-2 ORF10 exploits the ubiquitination machinery for proteasomal degradation,and offers valuable insights for optimizing PROTAC-based drug design based on NTH CUL2ZYG11B interaction,while pinpointing a promising target for the development of treatments for COVID-19.
