Hydrocarbon accumulation conditions and key technologies for exploration and development of Yuanba gas field

This paper discusses the exploration and development history and lessons of the large ultra-deep biogenic reef gas field in Yuanba area,where the previous“Kaijiang-Liangping shelf”model provides an insight for the discovery of the biological reef and bank on the platform margin.Systematic analysis of key geological conditions for hydrocarbon accumulation shows that the reef and bank reservoirs in Yuanba area are characterized by row and zonal distribution along“Kaijiang-Liangping shelf”,the bank in early and the reef in late,the reef in the front and the bank in the back,and dominated by lateral accretion and progradation.The major exploration target of high-quality reef-bank reservoirs are developed in Changxing Formation instead of in Feixianguan Formation,Three stages of fractures and dissolution,and dolomitization control the development of the high-quality reservoirs.Two sets of effective source rocks(Permian Dalong Formation and Wujiaping Formation)provide sufficient gas source for the large gas field.Three dimensional migration pathway system composed of micro-faults,micro-fractures and interlayer fissures facilitates the hydrocarbon migration and accumulation.The accumulation model of Yuanba gas field is characterized by the near-source accumulation,three-micro migration pathway system,lithological-stratigraphic reservoirs and tectonics controlling enrichment.According to the complex geological conditions such as ultra-deep reservoirs and multiple pressure systems in Yuanba gas field,several key technologies are developed during hydrocarbon exploration and development,including fine prediction of ultra-deep reef-bank reservoirs and identification of gas and water,fine-scale reservoir description and characterization of complex thin and small reef gas reservoirs,optimal&fast drilling of ultra-deep horizontal well,geo-steering of ultra-deep horizontal well for complex reef and bank.All these technologies resulted in the efficient exploration and development of Yuanba gas field and accelerated the innovation

四川盆地中部资阳地区张扭断裂三维构造模型、构造演化与油气地质意义

基于钻井和地震数据,通过平面-剖面构造解析、三维断层构造建模、垂向断距分析及平衡剖面恢复,对四川盆地资阳地区张扭(走滑)断裂系统进行研究。结果表明,资阳三维地震工区张扭断裂系统由北东走向、伸展变形主导的F_(Ⅰ)19和F_(Ⅰ)20断裂带以及北西走向、右旋剪切变形的3组雁列正断层构成。其中,F_(Ⅰ)19、F_(Ⅰ)20断裂带贯穿新元古界—中下三叠统嘉陵江组,表现出“S”形丝带状的三维结构,在二叠系沉积前及早三叠世至少经历两期构造叠加改造;北西向的3组雁列正断层由两两成对、倾向相反、部分左阶排列的小型正断层构成,在二叠系沉积前基本定型,对F_(Ⅰ)19断裂带向东的生长和扩展造成限制。F_(Ⅰ)19、F_(Ⅰ)20断裂带自深往浅沟通多套烃源岩和储层,断层活动时间与生烃高峰期匹配良好;在F_(Ⅰ)19、F_(Ⅰ)20断裂带两侧的局部低幅背斜带上,若叠加发育寒武系—三叠系有利沉积相带和储层,则该区有望成为天然气聚集有利区。

以川东南林滩场地区五峰组—龙马溪组一段(龙一段)富有机质页岩为研究对象,采用X线衍射全岩矿物分析、干酪根镜检、镜质体反射率、孔隙度、含气性、微量元素测试和测井解释等方法,分析页岩储层有机地球化学、孔隙结构和储集物性等含气性影响因素。结果表明:林滩场地区五峰组—龙一段划分9个小层,主要岩性为黑色炭质笔石页岩夹粉砂岩,干酪根类型以Ⅰ型为主,有机质成熟度介于3.27%~3.47%,w(TOC)介于0.58%~6.43%,孔隙度介于0.52%~10.81%,渗透率介于(0.002~0.684)×10^(-3)μm^(2),含气量介于1.12~3.85 m^(3)/t;沉积环境整体为深水陆棚相过渡到浅水陆棚相,气候湿热,为缺氧还原环境,储层物性好。页岩气探井效益开发最有利的埋深为2.0~3.0 km,林滩场南区埋深在2.5~4.0 km之间,埋深较为适中;页岩气井与断裂距离大于1.2 km,气井测试产量与断裂距离成正比。林页1井附近2.0 km范围内发育5条大尺度断裂,林页3井附近2.0 km范围内发育1条中尺度断裂,林页3井测试产量高于林页1井的。该结果为川东南复杂构造区页岩储层勘探开发提供指导。

Porosity Formation and Evolution of the Deeply Buried Lower Triassic Feixianguan Formation, Puguang Gas Field, NE Sichuan Basin, China

The deeply buried shoal dolomite reservoirs of the Lower Triassic Feixianguan Formation, giant Puguang Gas Field, NE Sichuan Basin, are exceptionally porous. The influences of diageneses on pore evolution are studied. Through petrologic investigation, diagenetic phases are divided into four stages, i.e., near-surface, pre-oil window, oil window, and gas window. The Adobe Photoshop system is used to quantify the rock texture components, porosity constitutions and the influences of diageneses on reservoir porosity. Porosity evolution curves are quantitatively recovered. The Feixianguan reservoir porosities are mainly created by early meteoric dissolution, dolomitization, and organic acids dissolution. Dissolution during deep burial is insignificant. Pores are formed in near-surface and pre-oil window stages and effectively preserved till present. This result may be of great significance to the further exploration of deeply buried carbonate reservoirs not only in NE Sichuan Basin, but also around the world.

Theory and practice of unconventional gas exploration in carrier beds: Insight from the breakthrough of new type of shale gas and tight gas in Sichuan Basin, SW China

Unconventional gas in the Sichuan Basin mainly includes shale gas and tight gas.The development of shale gas is mainly concentrated in the Ordovician Wufeng Formation-Silurian Longmaxi Formation,but has not made any significant breakthrough in the Cambrian Qiongzhusi Formation marine shale regardless of exploration efforts for years.The commercial development of tight sandstone gas is mainly concentrated in the Jurassic Shaximiao Formation,but has not been realized in the widespread and thick Triassic Xujiahe Formation.Depending on the geological characteristics of the Qiongzhusi Formation and Xujiahe Formation,the feedback of old wells was analyzed.Then,combining with the accumulation mechanisms of con-ventional gas and shale gas,as well as the oil/gas shows during drilling,changes in production and pressure during develop-ment,and other characteristics,it was proposed to change the exploration and development strategy from source and reservoir exploration to carrier beds exploration.With the combination of effective source rock,effective carrier beds and effective sand-stone or shale as the exploration target,a model of unconventional gas accumulation and enrichment in carrier beds was built.Under the guidance of this study,two significant results have been achieved in practice.First,great breakthrough was made in exploration of the silty shale with low organic matter abundance in the Qiongzhusi Formation,which breaks the traditional approach to prospect shale gas only in organic-rich black shales and realizes a breakthrough in new areas,new layers and new types of shale gas and a transformation of exploration and development of shale gas from single-layer system,Longmaxi For-mation,to multi-layer system in the Sichuan Basin.Second,exploration breakthrough and high-efficient development were re-alized for difficult-to-produce tight sandstone gas reserves in the Xujiahe Formation,which helps address the challenges of low production and unstable production of fracture zones in the Xujiahe Formation,promote the tr

In this work,the Permian Longtan marine-continental transitional shale in the southeast of Sichuan Basin was taken as study object.Through petrology and geochemical analysis,lithofacies types of the marine-continental transitional shale were classified,key controlling factors of physical properties and gas content of the different shale lithofacies were analyzed.The research results show that the Longtan Formation marine-continental transitional shale in the study area has four types of lithofacies,namely,organic-lean calcareous shale,organic-lean mixed shale,organic-lean argillaceous shale,and organic-rich argillaceous shale,among which the organic-rich argillaceous shale is the most favorable lithofacies of the study area.The pore types of different lithofacies vary significantly and the clay mineral-related pore is the dominant type of the pore system in the study area.The main controlling factor of the physical properties is clay mineral content,and the most important factor affecting gas content is TOC content.Compared with marine shale,the marine-continental transitional shale has low average values,wide distribution range,and strong heterogeneity in TOC content,porosity,and pore structure parameters,but still contains some favorable layers with high physical properties and gas contents.The organic-rich clay shale deposited in tidal flat-lagoon system is most likely to form shale gas sweet spots,so it should be paid more attention in shale gas exploration.

四川盆地是我国典型的多旋回盆地,更是最重要的天然气基地,发现了大量的常规、致密砂岩、页岩气田。具有海相、海陆过渡相、陆相垂向叠加与平面分区明显、纵向多期构造运动叠加改造的特点,形成了全盆地、全层系含气。本文以普光气田、涪陵页岩气田和中江致密砂岩气为实例,阐述了叠合—复合控藏的概念,即叠合盆地油气成藏和富集的各种要素均受相互关联的多种因素的控制,不同要素间既有时间上的累加和空间上的叠置,也有横向上地质体因某种原因而结合在一起,比如构造与岩性体、构造与地层等。叠合控制油气的形成与演化,复合控制油气的富集与定位,进一步论述明确多旋回盆地叠合—复合控藏研究内容对油气勘探研究与实践具有重要的指导意义。通过对四川盆地典型大型气田实例剖析,表明四川盆地大型气田均是受多旋回盆地叠合—复合控藏的结果,即叠合控制油气的形成与演化,复合控制油气的富集与定位。本文系统分析总结四川盆地大型气田油气形成、成藏与富集规律,结合四川盆地勘探开发现状,针对四川盆地多旋特征提出油气勘探三个方面的重点研究内容:(1)构造古地理研究,厘清构造格局、储层、烃源和圈闭空间的叠合、复合关系以及对油气形成的控制作用;(2)区域地质构造演化研究,明确不同期次构造叠合关系以及对成油、成气、油气富集的控制作用;(3)构造分级与控藏研究,精细构造分级明确不同级次构造对气水关系、富集、储层改造控制作用。

The controlling factors of oil and gas charging and accumulation of Puguang gas field in the Sichuan Basin

Combined with oil and gas transport and accumulation, structure-lithology evolution history, and with geochemistry and synthesizing geology methods, this paper studies the oil and gas discharge history of Puguang large scale gas field and the main controlling factors of oil accumulation. The natural gas in Puguang gas field is mainly coal-derived gas and oil-racked gas. The main hydrocarbon is Upper Permian coal mudstone and Lower Silurian mud shale with organic material. Puguang gas field has gone through discharge and adjustment 3 times, and it has favorable palaeostructure location, high quality dredge and effectively conserving conditions.

川西侏罗系致密砂岩气藏类型复杂,河道砂叠置复杂,砂体展布不稳定,储量品质低,气水关系复杂。该区域单井自然产能低、稳产能力差、可采储量低、气藏动用程度低、采收率低。为实现气藏持续上产、稳产,以地震老资料重处理与解释为基础,建立了完整的地球物理及测井精细评价技术体系,实现了河道砂岩精细刻画、储层精准预测及含水饱和度的定量评价。以“少井高产”为目标,依托地质工程一体化对难动用储量优选地质及工程双甜点,形成了平面上“一”字形、“Y”形、“X”形、“V”形等多形式组合,纵向上多层位、多井型井组优化的“一场多井、一井多层”混合井网+大规模多段多簇体积压裂储层改造工艺技术体系,施工排量从5~8 m^(3)/min提高到16~18 m^(3)/min,加砂强度由0.4~0.7 t/m提高到4.0~4.5 t/m,裂缝数量由20~30簇提高至50~80簇,单井产能从5.07×10^(4)m^(3)/d提高到15.64×10^(4)m^(3)/d。以地震-地质-建模-数模-工程-经济一体化为手段,摸清剩余气成因及规模,提出加密调整、转层、侧钻、重复改造及工艺维护等措施,提高气藏采收率,实现川西侏罗系致密砂岩气藏20×10^(8)m^(3)以上持续稳产18 a。这些技术的推广应用,“十四五”期间西南油气分公司致密天然气年产量有望保持30×10^(8)m^(3)以上并持续稳产。

Simulated experiment evidences of the corrosion and reform actions of H_2S to carbonate reservoirs:an example of Feixianguan Formation,east Sichuan

The reservoir of Feixianguan Formation of the Lower Triassic in the Sichuan Basin is the deepest buried carbonate reservoir in China, with developed secondary corrosion holes, high quantities carbonate reservoir, maximum effective carbonate reservoir thickness. Also Feixianguan gas reservoir has the highest quantities of H2S. Research discovers that there are close relationships between the formation of reservoir and H2S. The mutual actions between acidity fluid and carbonate promoted the forming of secondary carbonate holes. Through the experiment of corrosion of the samples of Feixianguan carbonate reservoir in saturated aqueous solution of hydrogen sulfide, the porosity and permeability increased greatly, porosity increased 2% and permeability increased nearly two quantity degrees, also the density became light, which confirm the corrosion and reform actions of H2S to carbonate.
