As offshore wind farms expand into deeper and farther ocean regions and the unit capacity of offshore wind turbines(OWTs)increases,there is a pressing need for a new foundation structure that can accommodate deep-sea conditions and support large capacities while maintaining economical and *** meet this goal of integrated transportation and one-step installation,a novel five-bucket jacket foundation(FBJF),with its suction installation and leveling methods in sand,has been proposed,analyzed and experimentally ***,seepage failure experiments of the FBJF at various depths were conducted,and a formula for calculating the critical suction of seepage failure suitable for the FBJF in sand was chosen and recommended for use with a range of values for the permeability coefficient ***,through leveling experiments of the FBJF at different depths,the maximum adjustable leveling angle during the sinking process was defined using seepage failure and the adjustable leveling angle of the foundation as control *** leveling control strategies were proposed and ***,an automatic sinking and leveling control system for the FBJF was developed and experimentally verified for feasibility.

Selection Method for New Energy Output Guaranteed Rates Considering Optimal Energy Storage Configuration

The output of new energy represented by wind power and photovoltaic power features volatility and randomness. It is a practical approach to use the guaranteed rate with statistical characteristics to analyze the output coefficient of new energy. However, there is a lack of analysis and demonstration on the value of the new energy output guaranteed rate. To solve this problem, a selection method for the new energy output guaranteed rate considering optimal energy storage configuration is proposed. First, the influence of the new energy output guaranteed rate on the new energy output coefficient is analyzed. Secondly, with the goal of minimizing the comprehensive costs, an optimal configuration model of energy storage based on the output guaranteed rate of new energy is constructed, and particle swarm optimization is used for the optimization solution. Then, according to the optimal energy storage configuration results under different guaranteed rates, a reasonable new energy output guaranteed rate is determined by maximizing the comprehensive benefits obtained from energy storage. Finally, an example applied to the power grid in an area of Guangdong in Southern China is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Framework for Preventive Control of Power Systems to Defend Against Extreme Events

Enhancing power system resilience against extreme events is becoming increasingly critical. This paper discusses a unified framework for preventive control of power systems to enhance system resilience, which includes three parts: resilience assessment, resilience grading, and resilience enhancement. First, the resilience assessment contains facility-level and system-level resilience assessment. The concept of fragility curve is used in the facility-level resilience assessment. Various resilience indices are developed in system-level resilience assessment to roundly depict the impacts of extreme events on power systems and determine the system resilience. On this basis, the resilience is divided into different levels by resilience grading strategy, which can efficiently quantify the severity of the impact of extreme events and provide decision-making for the resilience enhancement strategies. Then, control strategies for enhancing power system resilience are also divided according to different resilience levels. A controlled islanding based preventive control is proposed to enhance system resilience, which aims to strengthen the first defensive line of power systems to deal with extreme events. Finally, taking the typhoon disaster in extreme events as an example, two tests carried out with two typhoons demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

Transcriptome analysis suggests broad jejunal alterations in Linghu’s obesity-diarrhea syndrome:A pilot study

BACKGROUND Obesity is associated with a significantly increased risk for chronic diarrhea,which has been proposed as Linghu’s obesity-diarrhea syndrome(ODS);however,its molecular mechanisms are largely *** To reveal the transcriptomic changes in the jejunum involved in *** In a cohort of 6 ODS patients(JOD group),6 obese people without diarrhea(JO group),and 6 healthy controls(JC group),high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics analyses were performed to identify jejunal mucosal mRNA expression alterations and dysfunctional biological *** another cohort of 16 ODS patients(SOD group),16 obese people without diarrhea(SO group),and 16 healthy controls(SC group),serum diamine oxidase(DAO)and D-lactate(DLA)concentrations were detected to assess changes in intestinal barrier *** The gene expression profiles of jejunal mucosa in the JO and JC groups were similar,with only 1 differentially expressed gene(DEG).The gene expression profile of the JOD group was significantly changed,with 411 DEGs compared with the JO group and 211 DEGs compared with the JC group,129 of which *** enrichment analysis of these DEGs showed that the biological processes such as digestion,absorption,and transport of nutrients(especially lipids)tended to be up-regulated in the JOD group,while the biological processes such as rRNA processing,mitochondrial translation,antimicrobial humoral response,DNA replication,and DNA repair tended to be down-regulated in the JOD *** DEGs(CDT1,NHP2,EXOSC5,EPN3,NME1,REG3A,PLA2G2A,and PRSS2)may play a key regulatory role in the pathological process of ODS,and their expression levels were significantly decreased in ODS patients(P<0.001).In the second cohort,compared with healthy controls,the levels of serum intestinal barrier function markers(DAO and D-LA)were significantly increased in all obese individuals(P<0.01),but were higher in the SOD group than in the SO group(P<0.001).CONCLUSION Compared with health

Hydrogen spillover bridged dual nano-islands triggered by built-in electric field for efficient and robust alkaline hydrogen evolution at ampere-level current density

Employing the alkaline water electrolysis system to generate hydrogen holds great prospects but still poses significant challenges,particularly for the construction of hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalysts operating at ampere-level current ***,the unique Ru and RuP_(2)dual nano-islands are deliberately implanted on N-doped carbon substrate(denoted as Ru-RuP_(2)/NC),in which a built-in electric field(BEF)is spontaneously generated between Ru-RuP_(2)dual nano-islands driven by their work function *** and theoretical results unveil that such constructed BEF could serve as the driving force for triggering fast hydrogen spillover process on bridged Ru-RuP_(2)dual nano-islands,which could invalidate the inhibitory effect of high hydrogen coverage at ampere-level current density,and synchronously speed up the water dissociation on Ru nano-islands and hydrogen adsorption/desorption on RuP_(2)nano-islands through hydrogen spillover *** a result,the Ru-RuP_(2)/NC affords an ultra-low overpotential of 218 mV to achieve 1.0 A·cm^(−2)along with the superior stability over 1000 h,holding the great promising prospect in practical applications at ampere-level current *** importantly,this work is the first to advance the scientific understanding of the relationship between the constructed BEF and hydrogen spillover process,which could be enlightening for the rational design of the cost-effective alkaline HER catalysts at ampere-level current density.

Review on thermal management technologies for electronics in spacecraft environment

Due to the rapid development of the space industry,ever higher demands are being made for the optimization and improvement of spacecraft thermal management *** control technology has become one of the key bottlenecks that restrict the level of spacecraft *** this paper,the thermal management technologies(TMTs)for spacecraft electronics are reviewed according to the different heat transfer processes,including heat acquisition,heat transport,and heat *** researches on efficient heat acquisition include the utilization of high thermal conductance materials,the development of novel package structure based on micro-/nanoelectromechanical system(MEMS/NEMS)technologies,and advanced near-junction microfluidic cooling *** the heat transport process,various heat pipes and mechanical pumped fluid loops(MPFLs)are widely implemented to transport heat from heat generation components to the ultimate heat *** heat pipes are divided into two categories based on their structure layout,i.e.,separated heat pipes and unseparated heat *** merits and demerits of these heat pipes and MPFLs(including the single-phase MPFL and the two-phase MPFL)are discussed and summarized *** terms of the heat rejection for spacecraft,thermal radiators are normally the sole option due to the unique space *** meet the requirements of large heat dissipation power and fluctuated thermal environment,research efforts on the radiators mainly focus on the development of deployable radiators,variable emissivity radiators,and the combination with other *** to the fluctuated characteristics of the heat power of internal electronics and the outer thermal environment,the phase change materials(PCMs)exhibit great advantages in this scenario and have attracted a lot of research *** review aims to serve as a reference guide for the development of thermal management system in the future spacecraft.

Energy transfer, anticounterfeiting, white light emission and sensing in fine-regulating series of lanthanide metal-organic frameworks

Three lanthanide ions and a rigid(1,1'-biphenyl)-2,4,6-tricarboxylic acid(H_(3)bptc) ligand led to the isostructural lanthanide metal-organic frameworks(Ln-MOFs) {[Ln(bptc)(H_(2)O)_(3)]·3H_(2)O}_n(Lnbptc, Ln = Eu,Tb, Gd, Eu_(x)Tb_(1—x), Eu_(x)Gd_(1-x), Tb_(x)Gd_(1-x), and Eu_(0.12)Tb_(0.52)Gd_(0.36)). The density functional theory(DFT) and time-dependent DFT calculation were expanded on H_3bptc, which point to the occurrence of “antenna effect”. The minor diameter samples of Eubptc, Tbbptc, and Gdbptc can also be attained via the microwave synthesis and employed for handwriting anticounterfeiting. Interestingly, the typical red emission of Eu^(3+) and green emission of Tb~(3+) could be fine-tuned by Gd^(3+) via chemical mixing to be full-color emissions bimetallic doped Eu_(x)Tb_(1-x)bptc, Eu_(x)Gd_(1-x)bptc, and Tb_(x)Gd_(1-x)bptc. The above synthetic bimetallic MOFs can be fixed in positioning boxes of quick response(QR) codes with diverse emission for anticounterfeiting. The message can be decoded under the irradiation of 365 nm ultraviolet lamp while invisible in the daylight. Notably, the trimetallic doped Eu_(0.12)Tb_(0.52)Gd_(0.36)bptc emits white light with the CIE color coordinate(0.34, 0.34). Furthermore, Tbbptc is demonstrated to be a sensitive probe toward nitrobenzene and acetone with multiple mechanisms.
