Background::MicroRNA-20a (miR-20a) is dysregulated in many types of malignancies, including human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but its expression level and functional significance in HCC are still disputed. We aimed to study the role of miR-20a-5p in HCC and its downstream molecular mechanisms.Methods::We used real-time polymerase chain reaction to detect the expression of miR-20a-5p and runt-related transcription factor 3 ( RUNX3) in HCC and paraneoplastic tissue, transfected Huh7 and highly metastatic human hepatocellular carcinoma (MHCC97H) cells. A live cell workstation was used to observe the proliferation and migration of transfected cells. The invasiveness of transfected cells was verified by Transwell assay. Cell apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry. The expression levels of proteins after transfection were measured using simple western immunoblot measurements. Gene expression profiles between HCC and normal samples were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas. Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment results were processed by the database for annotation, visualization and integrated discovery. Potential target genes of miR-20a-5p were predicted to further investigate how miR-20a-5p regulates epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in HCC. Results::MiR-20a-5p was significantly highly expressed in HCC tissues, and overexpression of miR-20a-5p significantly promoted HCC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion and inhibited apoptosis in vitro. The protein expression of E-cadherin was decreased and that of vimentin was increased after overexpression of miR-20a-5p in HCC cells. We discovered the intersection of genes from miRDB, miR TarBase, and TargetScan, obtained 397 target genes and finally focused on RUNX3. RUNX3 was not only reduced in HCC specimens but also drastically reduced in HCC cells overexpressing miR-20a-5p. RUNX3 expression decreased with elevated miR-20a-5p, which activated downstream EMT signaling and promoted cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. C

The interface has a significant influence on the macroscopic mechanical behaviors of composite materials,with interface cracking being a typical failure event.The ability to precisely describe the mechanical behavior of the interface is critical for analyzing the failure of composite materials.Based on plasticity theory and damage mechanics,an elastic-plastic interface constitutive model is developed to simulate the irreversible plastic deformation at the interface under the cyclic loading condition.Furthermore,by incorporating a damage factor in scalar form,the model is able to simulate mixed loading forms(Modes I and II).The influence of interfacial strength and toughness on the overall mechanical properties of unidirectional fiber reinforced composites under transverse loading is studied with this model.The simulation results are consistent with the experimental data in the literature,demonstrating the model's effectiveness.The model can be used to simulate the mechanical behavior of composites with interfaces under cyclic loading,and it is helpful for understanding the plastic behavior and damage accumulation at the interfaces in the composites.

Effects of deep soil mixing on existing shield tunnels in soft soil ground

To mitigate the impact of adjacent construction on existing shield tunnels,deep soil mixing(DSM)has been widely used to reinforce the soft soil ground around shield tunnels.However,the construction of DSM may cause the movement of existing shield tunnels under soft soil and sensitive ground conditions,and reasonable installation parameters will reduce the impact of DSM construction on the existing shield tunnels.Based on the field tests of DSM installation parameters and a program of field measurements of existing shield tunnels during the DSM construction in Suzhou,the reasonable installation parameters of DSM were selected,and the movement of soil behind the soil mixing walls(SMWs)during multirow DSM installation was investigated.The movement of the shield tunnels caused by DSM construction were discussed in detail.The field test results showed that the DSM columns installed at a higher speed and a lower water-cement ratio enlarged the movement of the surrounding soil.The DSM should be installed at a lower speed and a higher watercement ratio to reduce the movement of the shield tunnels.The field measurement results showed that the displacement of the tunnel lining was primarily caused by the construction of DSM zones beside the shield tunnels,which led to vertical compression and horizontal expansion of the tunnel lining.The construction of DSM immediately above the shield tunnels caused uplift to the tunnels.In addition,the deformed shapes of the two shield tunnels were asymmetric,and the displacement of the spring lining was larger than that of the crown.By taking the reasonable installation parameters of DSM and under the protection of the SMWs,the deformation of the shield tunnels caused by the construction of DSM was effectively controlled,and the maximum displacement was within the control value of the shield tunnels in this study.

In the article,the issues of asymptotic adaptive tracking control for the uncertain nonlinear systems in the presence of actuator faults and unknown control directions are investigated.By using the properties of the Nussbaum function and backstepping technique,the problems resulting from the unknown signs of the nonlinear control functions are circumvented successfully.Moreover,a new adaptive asymptotic tracking control method is presented with the fault-tolerant control framework,which is capable of realising zero-tracking performance.The stability of the controlled system is ensured through fractional Lyapunov stability analysis.Finally,the validity of the raised scheme is verified by a simulation example.

Time-triggered architecture,as a mainstream design of the distributed real-time system,has been successfully applied in the aerospace,automotive and mechanical industries.However,time-triggered scheduling is a challenging NP-hard problem.There are few studies that could quickly solve the scheduling problem of large distributed time-triggered systems.To solve this problem,a communication affinity parameter is defined in this paper to describe the degree of bias of the shaper task towards sending or receiving messages.Based on this,an innovative task-message decoupling model named D-scheduler is built to reduce the computation complexity of the scheduling problem in large-scale systems.Additionally,we provide mathematical proof that our model is a convex optimization that is easy to solve with existing computational tools.Our experiments substantiate the efficacy of the D-scheduler.It dramatically reduces the scheduling complexity of large-scale real-time systems with a small loss of solving space compared to the federal scheduler.

The object detectors can precisely detect the camouflaged object beyond human perception.The investigations reveal that the CNNs-based(Convolution Neural Networks)detectors are vulnerable to adversarial attacks.Some works can fool detectors by crafting the adversarial camouflage attached to the object,leading to wrong prediction.It is hard for military operations to utilize the existing adversarial camouflage due to its conspicuous appearance.Motivated by this,this paper proposes the Dual Attribute Adversarial Camouflage(DAAC)for evading the detection by both detectors and humans.Generating DAAC includes two steps:(1)Extracting features from a specific type of scene to generate individual soldier digital camouflage;(2)Attaching the adversarial patch with scene features constraint to the individual soldier digital camouflage to generate the adversarial attribute of DAAC.The visual effects of the individual soldier digital camouflage and the adversarial patch will be improved after integrating with the scene features.Experiment results show that objects camouflaged by DAAC are well integrated with background and achieve visual concealment while remaining effective in fooling object detectors,thus evading the detections by both detectors and humans in the digital domain.This work can serve as the reference for crafting the adversarial camouflage in the physical world.

The inhomogeneous sound speed in seawater causes refraction of sound waves,and the elimination of the refraction effect is essential to the accuracy of underwater acoustic positioning.The raytracing method is an indispensable tool for effectively handling problems.However,this method has a conflict between localization accuracy and computational quantity.The equivalent sound speed profile(ESSP)method uses a simple sound speed profile(SSP)instead of the actual complex SSP,which can improve positioning precision but with residual error.The residual error is especially non-negligible in deep water and at large beam incidence angles.By analyzing the residual error of the ESSP method through a simulation,an empirical formula of error is presented.The data collected in the sailing circle mode(large incidence angle)of the South China Sea are used for verification.The experiments show that compared to the ESSP method,the improved algorithm has higher positioning precision and is more efficient than the ray-tracing method.

This paper presents a study on the tensile properties of reinforced thermoplastic pipes(RTPs). A mechanical model of RTPs with an arbitrary number of reinforced layers under tensile action is constructed by combining the constitutive relationship of elastoplastic materials with the continuous displacement condition. On this basis, the effects of various parameters such as the winding angle, the number of structurally reinforced layers, and the inner polyethylene(PE) liner thickness on the tensile properties of the RTPs were analyzed, and a tensile test was carried out for validation. The results showed that the winding angle of the structurally reinforced layers was the main factor affecting an RTP's tensile performance— decreases in the winding angle significantly improved its tensile ability,especially the longitudinal strength. With ±45° as the demarcation point, the winding angle smaller than ±45° will result in higher strength in longitudinal direction, and the lifting effect on RTP's mechanical properties of the increasing number of reinforcement layers was better than that of the increasing thickness of the lining layer;when the winding angle was larger than ±45°, the opposite results were obtained. The fibre load was more sensitive to the winding angle than the PE load.
