Biohybrid artificial muscle produced by integrating living muscle cells and their scaffolds with free movement in vivo is promising for advanced biomedical applications,including cell-based microrobotic systems and therapeutic drug delivery ***,we provide a biohybrid artificial muscle constructed by integrating living muscle cells and their scaffolds,inspired by bundled myofilaments in skeletal ***,a bundled biohybrid artificial muscle was fabricated by the integration of skeletal muscle cells and hydrophilic polyurethane(HPU)/carbon nanotube(CNT)nanofibers into a fiber shape similar to that of natural skeletal *** HPU/CNT nanofibers provided a stretchable basic backbone of the 3-dimensional fiber structure,which is similar to aain-myosin *** incorporated skeletal muscle fibers contribute to the actuation of biohybrid artificial *** fact,electrical field stimulation reversibly leads to the contraction of biohybrid artificial ***,the current development of cell-actuated artificial muscle provides great potential for energy delivery systems as actuators for implantable medibot movement and drug delivery ***,the innervation of the biohybrid artificial muscle with motor neurons is of great interest for human-machine interfaces.

Peripheral corticotropin releasing hormone mediates post-inflammatory visceral hypersensitivity in rats

AIM:To investigate whether peripheral corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH), which is up-regulated in intestinal inflammation, mediates the post-inflammatory visceral hypersensitivity in a rat model of colitis. METHODS:We measured mucosal myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity as a marker of inflammation, plasma CRH level, and abdominal withdrawal reflex (AWR) to colorectal distension as a visceral nociceptive response at 2, 7 and 14 d after the induction of colitis with 4% acetic acid. RESULTS:Colonic inflammation, quantified by MPO activity, significantly increased on d 2 and subsided thereafter, which indicated a resolution of inflammation within 7 d. On the contrary, plasma CRH level and AWR score were increased on d 2, remained high on d 7, and returned to control level on d 14. Intraperitoneal injection of a CRH antagonist, astressin (30 μg/kg), significantly attenuated the post-inflammatory visceral hypersensitivity on d 7. Furthermore, intraperitoneal administration of CRH (3 and 10 μg/kg) mimicked the post-inflammatory visceral hypersensitivity in naive rats. CONCLUSION:These results suggest that increased peripheral CRH mediates the enhanced visceral nociception in rats recovered from experimental colitis.

以“物理化学网”微信公众号为例,探讨微信公众号在物理化学教学中的应用。通过微信公众号,把传统的课堂教学交给慕课,增加总结式教学、习题教学、PBL教学、讨论式教学等多种教学模式;该微信公众号加入了在线随堂测验,巩固了学习效果,同时减轻了教师工作量,拓宽了师生互动的渠道,同时富有特色的文章推送也增加了教师个人魅力。但在非面对面互动交流、知识的碎片化和平台的过分依赖方面,也应该引起使用者足够的重视。
