In order to obtain a multifunctional oilfield agent with both corrosion inhibition and oil displacement functions,a polymer with benzene ring structures is synthesized based on polyacrylamide(PAM)and used as inhibitor for the first *** including electrochemistry,weight loss and theoretical calculations are used to study the inhibition effect for P110 steel in 1.0 M *** experimental results show that the modified polymer poly-(Z)-N-benzylidenepropionamide(PBAM)has excellent inhibition effects,and the maximum efficiency can reach 90.62%in impedance spectroscopy *** benzene ring structure added in the modified polymer providesπelectrons for the adsorption of inhibitor on metal surface,strengthens the adsorption,and thus brings a better corrosion inhibition *** addition to the corrosion inhibition performance,the viscosity-increasing effect of PBAM is *** results show that the addition of benzene ring not only enhances the corrosion inhibition effect,but also brings temperature resistance to the ***,the salt tolerance of the polymer is affected,the synthesized PBAM which viscosity can above 500 m Pa s at 140℃ is suitable for high temperature and low salinity *** modified polyacrylamide has satisfactory corrosion inhibition and oil displacement performance,which provides a new idea for the development of oilfield chemistry.

Splenic infarction(SI)is a rare clinical phenomenon that occurs when the blood supply to the spleen is interrupted,resulting in tissue ischemia and necrosis[1].There are many causes of SI;in adult patients,cardioembolism,hematological malignancy,and infectious disease are the most common[2].Rheumatic diseases,especially systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)and granulomatosis with polyangitis,can also lead to SI[3];however,only a few cases have been *** are currently no statistically meaningful data on the etiology of SI in *** most patients with SI can recover after conservative treatment,a small number of patients develop complications,such as splenic abscess,splenic rupture,splenic hemorrhage,and hemoperitoneum,and may even undergo splenectomy in severe cases.

The introduction of bifunctional groups into low-cost adsorbents for selective adsorption of Ag(I) through synergistic effect will have a profound impact on the recovery of precious metals. Organo silica nanosheets(organo-Si NSs) functionalized by series of azole derivatives(2-mercaptoimidazole(MI), 2-mercaptobenzimidazole(MBT) and 1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol(MTT)), are fabricated and employed for selective removal of Ag(I). The structures of the organo-Si NSs are investigated using several characterization methods. The results of batch adsorption experiments display that the maximum adsorption amounts are 70.3, 103.2 and 139.5 mg·g^(-1) on MI-Si NSs, MBI-Si NSs and MTT-Si NSs for Ag(I) ions, and reach rapid equilibrium within 10–30 min. The adsorption processes are chemisorption and fit pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir adsorption isotherm model. Notably, MTT-Si NSs is greatly selective for Ag(I) in multicomponent system, and the distribution coefficient value of Ag(I) ions reaches 2331.26 ml·g^(-1). The reusability of organo-Si NSs is verified by four cycles of regeneration tests with 0.1 mol·L^(-1) HNO_(3) as the eluent. A combination of experimental, structural along with theoretical analysis is conducted to proclaim the structure-adsorptivity relationship:(i) The adsorption mechanisms are attributed to complexation.(ii) The amino group and sulfhydryl group of MTT-Si NSs as well as MBISi NSs may have synergistic impacts on Ag(I) capture.(iii) The differences in adsorption behavior and selectivity of the three organo-Si NSs are mainly related to the form of function groups, charge density and steric hindrance of adsorbent. This work not only sheds light on the promise of functionalized organo-Si NSs for the rapid and selective removal/enrichment of Ag(I) ions in complex water systems,but also provides new insights for designing cost-effective Si NSs-based adsorbents.

Photocatalytic oxidation has been widely employed in organic synthesis,by virtue of the green,mild and simple reaction conditions as well as high *** oxygen vacancies (OVs) with proper concentrations into the photocatalysts has been proven as an effective strategy to boost the catalytic ***,the currently used treatment method under high temperature at reducing atmosphere inevitably introduces a large number of OVs at the interior of the catalyst and serving as the recombination centers of *** address this issue,here we develop a facile solvothermal process to prepare ultrathin BiOBr nanosheets with rich surface *** method effectively decreases the bulk of the material and the ratio of interior OVs,rendering most of the OVs exposed on the surfaces which act as exposed catalytic sites and enhance the separation of carriers,therefore significantly elevates the photocatalytic *** the photo-oxidation reaction of secondary amines,under the conditions of visible light,ambient temperature and atmosphere,the BiOBr nanosheets featuring rich surface OVs deliver a doubled conversion compared to those with low OV concentrations,and a high selectivity of 99%,a high stability as the performance shows no reduction after 5 times of circular reaction.

We report a composite material with the high tribological performance,which consists of onedimensional SnO2 nanotubes(ST)and a high molecular weight poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF)matrix in terms of *** of PVDF in N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF)resulted in a facile penetration of PVDF into the inner hollow voids of ST,leading to the close *** between PVDF and ST results in a beneficial effect on the chain arrangement of PVDF,providing anα-phase with better tribological *** ST incorporation,the friction coefficient decreased by 85.0%to 0.408,and the specific wear rate decreased by 69.1%to 0.412,demonstrating the pivotal role of ST as a self-lubricating material due to a large interactive area and PVDF chain rearrangement.

Based on the daily maximum air temperature(T_(max))data from the China Meteorological Data Network and the NCEP/DOE reanalysis data,the intra-seasonal circulation and evolution of an extreme high temperature event(EHTE)in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River(MYR)from August 9-21,2011 were explored,as well as the influence of diabatic heating on the position variation of the Western Pacific subtropical high(WPSH).Results show that the daily T_(max) in the MYR exhibits a vigorous intraseasonal oscillation(ISO)of 10-25 days in the extended summer of *** main factors affecting the EHTE in the summer of 2011 are the low-frequency wave train propagating southeastward in the mid-latitude of the upper troposphere and the low-frequency anticyclone moving northwestward in the lowlatitude of the mid-lower *** diagnosis of 925hPa thermodynamic equation indicates that the ISO features of the T_(max) in the core region is determined by the intra-seasonal variation of the adiabatic *** addition,the variations of the WPSH correspond well to the distribution of apparent heat *** the early stage of the high temperature process,the apparent heat source in the north of the Bay of Bengal is a certain indicator for the westward extension of the WPSH.

Influence of severity and types of astigmatism on visual acuity in school-aged children in southern China

AIM： To investigate the influence of astigmatism on visual acuity in school-aged children, and to define a cutoff for clinically significant astigmatism. METHODS： This is a population-based, cross-sectional study. Among 5053 enumerated children aged 5-15 y in Guangzhou, 3729（73.8%） children aged 7-15 with successful cycloplegic auto-refraction（1% cyclopentolate） and a reliable visual acuity measurement were included. Ocular measurement included external eye, anterior segment, media and fundus and cycloplegic auto-refraction. Primary outcome measures included the relationship between severity and subtypes of astigmatism and the prevalence of visual impairment. Three criteria for visual impairment were adopted： best-corrected visual acuity（BCVA） ≤0.7, uncorrected visual acuity（UCVA） ≤0.5 or 〈0.7 in the right ***： Increases of cylinder power was significantly associated with worse visual acuity（UCVA： β=0.051, P〈0.01; BCVA： β=0.025, P〈0.001）. A substantial increase in UCVI and BCVI was seen with astigmatism of 1.00 diopter（D） or more. Astigmatism ≥1.00 D had a greater BCVI prevalence than cylinder power less than 1.00 D（OR=4.20, 95%CI： 3.08-5.74）, and this was also true for hyperopic, emmetropic and myopic refraction categories. Oblique astigmatism was associated with a higher risk of BCVI relative to with the rule astigmatism in myopic refractive category（OR=12.87, 95%CI： 2.20-75.38）.CONCLUSION： Both magnitude and subtypes of astigmatism influence the prevalence of visual impairment in school children. Cylinder ≥1.00 D may be useful as a cutoff for clinically significant astigmatism.

Spermatogonial development is a vital prerequisite for spermatogenesis and male ***,the exact mechanisms underlying the behavior of spermatogonia,including spermatogonial stem cell(SSC)self-renewal and spermatogonial proliferation and differentiation,are not fully *** studies demonstrated that the mTOR complex 1(mTORC1)signaling pathway plays a crucial role in spermatogonial development,but whether MTOR itself was also involved in any specific process of spermatogonial development remained *** this study,we specifically deleted Mtor in male germ cells of mice using Stra8-Cre and assessed its effect on the function of *** Mtor knockout(KO)mice exhibited an age-dependent perturbation of testicular development and progressively lost germ cells and fertility with *** age-related phenotypes were likely caused by a delayed initiation of Mtor deletion driven by *** examination revealed a reduction of differentiating spermatogonia in Mtor KO mice,suggesting that spermatogonial differentiation was *** proliferation was also impaired in Mtor KO mice,leading to a diminished spermatogonial pool and total germ cell *** results show that MTOR plays a pivotal role in male fertility and is required for spermatogonial proliferation and differentiation.
