To the Editor:Psoriatic arthritis(PsA)is a highly heterogeneous inflammatory arthritis.It occurs in up to 30%of patients with psoriasis and can have severe impacts on peripheral joints,spine,tendon insertions,and fingers. ^([1])Radiographic progression is currently the preferred method for assessing structural damage of PsA. ^([2])Biologic treatment options for PsA include tumor necrosis factor-αinhibitors(TNFi),interleukin-12/23 inhibitors,and interleukin-17(IL-17)inhibitors.The therapeutic effects of IL-17 inhibitors on structural damage were not consistent over multiple trials.Therefore,a systematic review and meta-analysis of the available randomized controlled trials(RCTs)was conducted to quantify the overall effect of IL-17 inhibitors on structural damage in PsA.This study was registered with PROSPERO(No.CRD42022301774).

This study examines the influence of oil shocks on systemic risk spillover among the commodity markets. Specifically, this paper uses the DCC-GARCH approach combined with the TVP-VAR model to calculate risk connectedness and the GARCH-MIDAS model to explore how oil shocks from different sources affect the risk spillover effects among the commodity markets. The results are the following: First, there are significant risk spillovers among the commodity markets with important time-varying characteristics and with sharp changes in times of crisis. The industrial metals, agriculture, precious metals, and light energy commodity markets are risk recipients, and the energy and livestock commodity markets are risk exporters. Second, oil price shocks, particularly oil aggregate demand shocks, prominently affect the total risk connectedness among the commodity markets. In particular, the impact on the net risk spillover effect of different commodity market differs.

Objective Sepsis is considered a major cause of health loss in children and had high mortality and morbidity.Currently,there is no reliable model for predicting the prognosis of pediatric patients with sepsis.This study aimed to analyze the clinical characteristics of sepsis in children and assess the risk factors associated with poor prognosis in pediatric sepsis patients to identify timely interventions and improve their outcomes.Methods This study analyzed the clinical indicators and laboratory results of septic patients hospitalized in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of tongji Hospital,tongji Medical College,Huazhong University of Science and Technology,China,from January 1,2019,to December 31,2021.Risk factors for sepsis were identified by logistic regression analyses.Results A total of 355 children with sepsis were enrolled,with 333 children(93.8%)in the good prognosis group,and 22 children(6.2%)in the poor prognosis group.Among them,there were 255 patients(71.8%)in the sepsis group,and 100 patients(28.2%)in the severe sepsis group.The length of hospital stay in the poor prognosis group was longer than that in the good prognosis group(P0.05),and the platelet(PLT),albumin(ALB),and hemoglobin(Hb)levels were lower in the poor prognosis group(P<0.01).The IL-8 levels in the severe sepsis group were higher than those in the sepsis group(P<0.05).Multiple logistic regression analysis suggested that lower Hb levels,ALB levels,peak PLT counts,and higher IL-1βlevels were independent risk factors for poor prognosis in children with sepsis.Conclusion Lower Hb,ALB,and PLT counts and elevated IL-1βare independent risk factors for poor prognosis in children with sepsis.

The amorphous phase-change materials with spontaneous structural relaxation leads to the resistance drift with the time for phase-change neuron synaptic devices. Here, we modify the phase change properties of the conventional Ge_2Sb_2Te_5(GST) material by introducing an SnS phase. It is found that the resistance drift coefficient of SnS-doped GST was decreased from 0.06 to 0.01. It can be proposed that the origin originates from the precipitation of GST nanocrystals accompanied by the precipitation of SnS crystals compared to single-phase GST compound systems. We also found that the decrease in resistance drift can be attributed to the narrowed bandgap from 0.65 to 0.43 eV after SnS-doping. Thus, this study reveals the quantitative relationship between the resistance drift and the band gap and proposes a new idea for alleviating the resistance drift by composition optimization, which is of great significance for finding a promising phase change material.

The global coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic is currently ongoing.It is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2).A high proportion of COVID-19 patients exhibit gastrointestinal manifestations such as diarrhea,nausea,or vomiting.Moreover,the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts are the primary habitats of human microbiota and targets for SARS-CoV-2 infection as they express angiotensin-converting enzyme-2(ACE2)and transmembrane protease serine 2(TMPRSS2)at high levels.There is accumulating evidence that the microbiota are significantly altered in patients with COVID-19 and post-acute COVID-19 syndrome(PACS).

通过将马约拉纳束缚态侧耦合到主通道中的量子点,从理论上研究了T形双量子点体系的输运性质.结果表明,调整侧耦合量子点能级和量子点-马约拉纳束缚态耦合方式,可以在线性输运区观察到马约拉纳束缚态与T形双量子点解耦的现象.引入铁磁性电极后,电导平台的出现或损坏明显依赖于体系中磁场与电极极化方向的差异,而马约拉纳束缚态的解耦现象仍然稳固.本工作有助于进一步诠释T形双量子点体系中马约拉纳束缚态的解耦现象,为深入认知以及探测马约拉纳束缚态提供理论支持.

Two allyldimethylalkyl quaternary ammonium salt（AQAS） monomers, N,N-dimethylallylphenylpropylammonium bromide（AQAS1） and N,N-dimethylallylnonylammonium bromide（AQAS2）, were synthesized and used to prepare modified polyacrylamide materials. Two new drag reducers were synthesized from acrylamide（AM）, sodium acrylate（Na AA） and a cationic modified monomer（AQAS1 or AQAS2） via aqueous solution polymerization, and the copolymers were named P（AM/Na AA/AQAS1） and P（AM/Na AA/AQAS2）, respectively. The structures of the drag reduction agents were confirmed by IR and1H NMR spectroscopies. The molecular weight（Mw） of P（AM/Na AA/AQAS1） was 1.79 × 10～6g/mol. When the copolymer concentration was 1000 mg/L and the flow rate was 45 L/min, in fresh water the highest drag reduction rate was 75.8%, in 10,000 mg/L Na Cl solution the drag reduction rate decreased to 72.9%. The molecular weight of P（AM/Na AA/AQAS2） was 3.17 × 10～6g/mol. When the copolymer concentration was500 mg/L and the flow rate was 45 L/min, the drag reduction rate reached 75.2%, and in 10,000 mg/L Na Cl solution the drag reduction rate was 73.3%, decreased by approximately 1.9%. The drag reduction rate for partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide（HPAM） was also investigated, and the results showed that the drag reduction rates for 500 and 1000 mg/L HPAM solutions were merely 43.2% and 49.0% in brine, respectively. Compared with HPAM, both of the above copolymers presented better drag reduction capacities.

Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)experience substantial viability issues in the stroke infarct region,limiting their therapeutic efficacy and clinical translation.High levels of deadly reactive oxygen radicals(ROS)and proinflammatory cytokines(PC)in the infarct milieu kill transplanted MSCs,whereas low levels of beneficial ROS and PC stimulate and improve engrafted MSCs’viability.Based on the intrinsic hormesis effects in cellular biology,we built a microglia-inspired MSC bioengineering system to transform detrimental high-level ROS and PC into vitality enhancers for strengthening MSC therapy.This system is achieved by bioorthogonally arming metabolic glycoengineered MSCs with microglial membrane-coated nanoparticles and an antioxidative extracellular protective layer.In this system,extracellular ROSscavenging and PC-absorbing layers effectively buffer the deleterious effects and establish a microlivable niche at the level of a single MSC for transplantation.Meanwhile,the infarct’s inanimate milieu is transformed at the tissue level into a new living niche to facilitate healing.The engineered MSCs achieved viability five times higher than natural MSCs at seven days after transplantation and exhibited a superior therapeutic effect for stroke recovery up to 28 days.This vitality-augmented system demonstrates the potential to accelerate the clinical translation of MSC treatment and boost stroke recovery.

Automatic diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy using vision transformer based on wide-field optical coherence tomography angiography

Diabetic retinopathy(DR)is one of the major causes of visual impairment in adults with diabetes.Optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)is nowadays widely used as the golden criterion for diagnosing DR.Recently,wide-field OCTA(WF-OCTA)provided more abundant information including that of the peripheral retinal degenerative changes and it can contribute in accurately diagnosing DR.The need for an automatic DR diagnostic system based on WF-OCTA pictures attracts more and more attention due to the large diabetic population and the prevalence of retinopathy cases.In this study,automatic diagnosis of DR using vision transformer was performed using WF-OCTA images(12 mm×12 mm single-scan)centered on the fovea as the dataset.WF-OCTA images were automatically classified into four classes:No DR,mild nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR),moderate to severe NPDR,and proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR).The proposed method for detecting DR on the test set achieves accuracy of 99.55%,sensitivity of 99.49%,and specificity of 99.57%.The accuracy of the method for DR staging reaches up to 99.20%,which has been proven to be higher than that attained by classical convolutional neural network models.Results show that the automatic diagnosis of DR based on vision transformer and WF-OCTA pictures is more effective for detecting and staging DR.

由于逆变型分布式电源(inverter-interfaced distributed generation,IIDG)的故障特性主要由其控制策略及电网故障情况决定,在不同故障场景和工况下,传统的被动式保护方法存在保护整定和协调困难的问题。为此,提出一种基于控保协同的有源配网主动注入式保护方法,故障期间控制IIDG主动向电网注入特征信号,保护处利用检测到的特征信号来获取IIDG的基波信息,从而消除IIDG对各支路电流及现有电流保护的影响。由于保护利用的故障特征是由IIDG主动注入的,因此该方法在不同场景和工况下都有较好的适用性,且不需要增加额外的通信和检测设备,具有经济性好和实用性高的优点。仿真结果验证了所提方法的有效性。
