Identification of Damage Parameters for Intralaminar Damage Modeling in Laminated Composites Considering Transverse Stress Effects

The aim of this study is to develop an appropriate modeling methodology for the simulation of intralaminar damage in laminated composites under complex loadings. The intralaminar damages are modeled by stiffness reduction controlled by thermodynamic forces as defined in continuum damage mechanics model proposed by Ladevèze. The original method neglected transverse stress in elementary plies during the tensile tests of [45/?45]mS laminates, resulting in variations of the identified damage parameters of Ladevèze model. This study compared the identified damage parameters considering transverse stress effects with those based on the original method. The effect of transverse stress in the identification process on the damage modeling is discussed, and it is found that one of damage coupling parameters and the damage master curves significantly depend on consideration of transverse stress effects. Finally, it is demonstrated that experimental stiffness degradation is well simulated by the prediction using the identified parameters considering transverse stress effects.

In this work, flexural properties and failure behavior of unidirectional (UD) carbon fiber reinforced polyamide 6 (CF/Nylon 6) and epoxy resin (CF/ Epoxy) laminates were investigated through three-point bending test. The mechanical properties and failure behavior of 0 and 90 degree CF/Nylon 6 and CF/Epoxy laminates were discussed based on the fiber volume fraction, fiber distribution, void content, interfacial properties, transversal tensile strength and fracture toughness. The effects of fiber volume fraction, fiber distribution, void content and their hybrid effect on the flexural properties were investigated. Step-by-step observation and scanning electron microscope observation of laminates after flexural tests were employed to analyze the fracture process.

提出碳/环氧复合材料作为柔性梁材料的可行性。对相同树脂基体的单向碳纤维复合材料和玻璃纤维/环氧复合材料的扭转疲劳性能进行研究。碳纤维复合材料的初始扭转刚度几乎与玻璃纤维复合材料相同。采用有限元计算的扭转刚度与试验结果吻合:扭转刚度主要受控于材料的剪切刚度。通过控制正弦波扭转的角度,进行了恒定受拉轴向荷载下的扭转疲劳试验。尽管根据循环次数降低了扭矩和扭转刚度振幅,无论是碳纤维还是玻璃纤维复合材料都没出现严重的破坏现象。X-射线CT的检查结果以及有限元计算的结果显示:主要是沿着纤维方向裂缝扩展引起扭转刚度的退化,碳纤维扭转疲劳寿命高于玻璃纤维复合材料。因此,根据扭转刚度和张拉-扭转疲劳性能,证实碳纤维具有很好的性能,可作为柔性梁的抗扭材料。

Atopy patch testing with Japanese cedar pollen extract has been used to investigate patients with atopic dermatitis whose condition is exacerbated by contact with Japanese cedar *** atopy patch testing,scratch tests,and assays for total IgE and specific IgE were performed in 74 patients with atopic dermatitis,5 patients with Japanese cedar pollinosis and 15 control subjects.A skin biopsy was performed on any sites that were positive to Japanese cedar pollen patch *** results after 48 h of atopy patch testing were compared with the patient’s history,skin scratch test and specific ***-two of the 74 patients(30%)-had a history of exacerbation every spring after contact with Japanese *** these patients 68%showed a positive reaction to Japanese cedar pollen extract,as did 21%of patientswith atopic dermatitis without a history of exacerbation by Japanese cedar pollen,20%of patients with Japanese cedar pollinosis without eruption and 7%of control subjects.A histological examination revealed eczematous changes and infiltration of lymphocytes and eosinophils in atopy patch testing positive *** conclusion,atopy patch testing with Japanese cedar pollen extract is a useful method for investigating trigger factors for eczematous skin lesions in a subgroup of patients with atopic dermatitis.
