Predictive health monitoring of micro gas turbines can significantly increase the availability and reduce the operating and maintenance *** for predictive health monitoring are typically developed for large-scale gas turbines and have often focused on single *** an effort to enable fleet-level health monitoring of micro gas turbines,this work presents a novel data-driven approach for predicting system degradation over *** approach utilises operational data from real installations and is not dependent on data from a reference *** problem was solved in two steps by:1)estimating the degradation from time-dependent variables and 2)forecasting into the future using only running *** regression technique is employed both for the estimation and forecasting of *** method was evaluated on five different systems and it is shown that the result is consistent(r>0.8)with an existing method that computes corrected values based on data from a reference system,and the forecasting had a similar performance as the estimation model using only running hours as an input.

Introduction:Large-scale disordered coastal aquaculture development causes severe environmental ***,quantitative assessments of spatiotemporal dynamics and driving factors for coastal aquaculture are essential and urgent for coastal aquaculture ***:Using remote sensing products and geographic information science,we investigated the long-term landscape changes due to coastal aquaculture,and explored its underlying driving factors in the Ningde coastal region,Southeastern *** show that coastal aquaculture area increased from 90.65 km2 in 2003 to 96.08 km^(2) in 2016,and its structure underwent tremendous *** area of artificial shrimp ponds increased by 496.15%and the area of farmland ponds decreased by 25.81%between 2003 and *** addition,we revealed that from 2003 to 2016,the change trends of the coastal aquaculture area and the entire Ningde coastal region were consistent,and became more fragmented and ***,regression results indicate that the growth and attenuation of coastal aquaculture areas were significantly affected by the initial coastal aquaculture area in *** and Conclusion:To sustainably manage the coastal ecosystems,we provide several recommendations(e.g.,a coupled human and natural systems approach to understanding human-nature interactions,integrated assessment,and systematical spatial planning and monitoring)for future research and management.

Over the past few decades, innovations in Information and Communication Technologies （ICT） have led to a significant increase in the complexity of enterprise information systems. This has led to new challenges for enterprise architects, systems engineers, business managers and other decision makers who must cope with the complexity of business plans and processes （particularly automated engineering processes）. In order to better manage this complexity, the Business Rule Group （BRG） has put forth the Business Motivation Model （BMM）. The original BMM uses a SWOT （Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat） decision analysis approach. However, the SWOT framework contains significant limitations with respect to decision making and ICT risks, hampering the decision making ability of enterprise architects, business managers, engineers, and other decision makers. The AHP （Analytic Hierarchy Process） and ANP （Analytic Network Process） are among the most widely used decision making tools： they commonly implement a Benefit - Opportunity - Cost - Risk （BOCR） analysis to improve the effectiveness of business decision making. A new approach is put forth that replaces the original SWOT assessment with an ANP-based BOCR analysis. As well, the original BMM is modified and applied in a Component Architecture Framework （CAF）.

Background: Emergency front-of-neck airway(eFONA) is a life-saving procedure in “cannot intubate, cannot oxygenate”(CICO). The fastest and most reliable method of eFONA has not been determined. We compared two of the most advocated approaches: surgical cricothyroidotomy and percutaneous cricothyroidotomy, in an obese, in vivo porcine hemorrhage model, designed to introduce real-time physiological feedback, relevant and high provider stress. The primary aim was to determine the fastest method to secure airway. Secondary aims were arterial saturation and partial pressure of oxygen, proxy survival and influence of ***: Twelve pigs [(60.3±4.1) kg] were anesthetized and exposed to 25%–35% total blood volume hemorrhage before extubation and randomization to Seldinger technique “percutaneous cricothyroidotomy”(n=6) or scalpelbougie-tube technique “surgical cricothyroidotomy”(n=6). Specialists in anesthesia and intensive care in a tertiary referral hospital performed the eFONA, simulating an actual ***: In surgical cricothyroidotomy vs. percutaneous cricothyroidotomy, the median(interquartile range, IQR) times to secure airway were 109(IQR 71–130) s and 298(IQR 128–360) s(P=0.0152), arterial blood saturation(SaO2) were 74.7(IQR 46.6–84.2)% and 7.9(IQR 4.1–15.6)%(P=0.0167), PaO_(2) were 7.0(IQR 4.7–7.7) kPa and 2.0(IQR 1.1–2.9) kPa(P=0.0667), and times of cardiac arrest(proxy survival) were 137–233 s, 190(IQR 143–229) s, from CICO. All six animals survived surgical cricothyroidotomy, and two of six(33%) animals survived percutaneous cricothyroidotomy. Years in anesthesia, 13.5(IQR 7.5–21.3), did not influence time to secure ***: eFONA by surgical cricothyroidotomy was faster and had increased oxygenation and survival, when performed under stress by board certified anesthesiologists, and may be an indication of preferred method in situations with hemorrhage and CICO, in obese patients.

Jet grouting is one of the most popular soil improvement techniques,but its design usually involves great uncertainties that can lead to economic cost overruns in construction *** high dispersion in the properties of the improved material leads to designers assuming a conservative,arbitrary and unjustified strength,which is even sometimes subjected to the results of the test *** present paper presents an approach for prediction of the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of jet grouting columns based on the analysis of several machine learning algorithms on a database of 854 results mainly collected from different research *** selected machine learning model(extremely randomized trees)relates the soil type and various parameters of the technique to the value of the compressive *** the complex mechanism that surrounds the jet grouting process,evidenced by the high dispersion and low correlation of the variables studied,the trained model allows to optimally predict the values of compressive strength with a significant improvement with respect to the existing ***,this work proposes for the first time a reliable and easily applicable approach for estimation of the compressive strength of jet grouting columns.

Response to isochronal annealing up to 440 ℃ of squeeze cast Mg–Y–Zn alloy and of the same alloy prepared by powder metallurgy(PM)and extruded at 280 ℃ was studied by resistivity and microhardness measurement,differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and microstructure *** resistivity was measured at 77 K and microhardness was measured at room temperature after each annealing *** measurement was performed at various heating *** and scanning electron microscopy and optical microscopy revealed ribbons of long-period ordered structure(LPSO)18R and planar defects within grain *** high density of planar defects was found in grain interiors of the cast alloy with the grain size approximately 50μ*** pronounced subgrains were observed in the PM prepared *** phase particles decorate grain boundaries in this *** precipitation processes were detected in the cast alloy during repeated isochronal annealing up to 440 ℃,whereas only one significant process was revealed in the PM *** processes were identified as embedding of stacking faults by solutes,development and rearrangement(18R→14H)of LPSO phase and development of grain boundary particles.A coarsening of grain boundary particles rich in Y and Zn only proceeds in the PM *** energies of the precipitation processes were *** exhibits good thermal stability against annealing up to 360 ℃ in the PM alloy.

The excited localized surface plasmon(LSP)in metallic nanoparticles is known to relax through several processes such as electron-electron scattering,electron-phonon coupling,and phonon-phonon *** the current research,the ultrafast electron-phonon(e-ph)coupling relaxation processes for different average sizes and crystallinity of chemically synthesized silver nanoparticles were evaluated utilizing transient absorption *** nanoparticle size and crystallinity of similar linear dimension polycrystalline spherical and monocrystalline cubic nanoparticles ranging from ca.30-60 nm was related to their electron relaxation time constants and revealed very different *** the monocrystalline nanocubes,the electron-phonon coupling was not dependent on the cube edge length,while for the polycrystalline nanospheres,it was linearly decreasing with *** demonstrate that the e-ph coupling time constant could be used to evaluate crystallinity and crystallite size in plasmonic metal nanoparticles when the size(surface area)of the nanoparticle is known.

Short-term feeding behaviour sound classification method for sheep using LSTM networks

A deep learning approach using long-short term memory(LSTM)networks was implemented in this study to classify the sound of short-term feeding behaviour of sheep,including biting,chewing,bolus regurgitation,and rumination *** original acoustic signal was split into sound episodes using an endpoint detection method,where the thresholds of short-term energy and average zero-crossing rate were utilized.A discrete wavelet transform(DWT),Mel-frequency cepstral,and principal-component analysis(PCA)were integrated to extract the dimensionally reduced DWT based Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients(denoted by PW_MFCC)for each sound ***,LSTM networks were employed to train classifiers for sound episode category *** performances of the LSTM classifiers with original Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients(MFCC),DWT based MFCC(denoted by W_MFCC),and PW_MFCC as the input feature coefficients were *** results demonstrated that the introduction of DWT improved the classifier performance effectively,and PCA reduced the computational overhead without degrading classifier *** overall accuracy and comprehensive F1-score of the PW_MFCC based LSTM classifier were 94.97%and 97.41%,*** classifier established in this study provided a foundation for an automatic identification system for sick sheep with abnormal feeding and rumination behaviour pattern.
