Resistance to pentavalent antimonial drugs and the lack of vaccines make it urgent to find novel therapeutic options to treat Leishmaniasis, a tropical disease caused by the Leishmania protozoan parasite. The study reported here is to investigate if Streptomycin, an aminoglycoside, and Amphotericin B, the second-line treatment drug, exhibit antileishmanial activity through a similar mechanism. By using mOE (molecular Operating Environment), we perform.d.molecular docking studies on these drugs binding to a range of targets including ribosome targets in Leishmania and h. sapiens. Our study shows that the two drugs do not bind to the same pockets in Leishmania targets but to the same pockets in the human ribosome, with some differences in interactions. moreover, our 2d maps indicated that Amphotericin B binds to the A-site in the human cytoplasmic ribosome, whereas streptomycin does not.

BACKGROUNd The liver has traditionally been regarded as resistant to antibody-m.d.ated rejection(AmR).AmR in liver transplants is a field in its infancy compared to kidney and lung *** our case we present a patient with alpha-1-antitrypsin disease who underwent ABO compatible liver transplant complicated by acute liver failure(ALF)with evidence of antibody m.d.ated rejection on allograft biopsy and elevated serum.d.nor-specific antibodies(dSA).This case highlights the need for further investigations and heightened awareness for timely *** SUmmARY A 56 year-old woman with alpha-1-antitrypsin disease underwent ABO compatible liver transplant from a deceased *** recipient mELd at the time of transplant was *** flow cytometric crossmatches were noted to be positive for T and B *** patient had an uneventful recovery *** on postoperative day 5 the patient developed fevers,elevated liver function tests,distributive shock,renal failure,and hepatic *** went into ALF with evidence of antibody m.d.ated rejection with portal inflammation,bile duct injury,endothelitis,and extensive centrizonal necrosis,and C4d staining on allograft biopsy and elevated *** various interventions including plasmapheresis and immunom.d.lating therapy,she continued to *** was relisted and successfully underwent liver *** This very rare case highlights AmR as the cause of ALF following liver transplant requiring retransplantation.

potato is the thirdmost important food crop in *** pathogens threaten sustainable crop production but can be controlled,in many cases,through the deployment of disease resistance genes belonging to the family of nucleotide-binding,leucine-rich-repeat(NLR)*** identify effective disease resistance genes in established varieties,we have successfully established SmRT-AgRenSeq in tetraploid potatoes and have further enhanced the methodology by including dRenSeq in an approach that we term *** inclusion of dRenSeq enables the filtering of candidates after the association analysis by establishing a presence/absence matrix across resistant and susceptible varieties that is translated into an F1 *** a SmRT-RenSeq-based sequence representation of the NLRome from the cultivar Innovator,SmRT-AgRenSeq-d analyses reliably identified the late blight resistance benchmark genes Rpi-R1,Rpi-R2-like,Rpi-R3a,and Rpi-R3b in a panel of 117 varieties with variable phenotype *** benchmark genes were identified with an F1 score of 1,which indicates absolute linkage in the *** method also identified nine strong candidates for Gpa5 that controls the potato cyst nematode(pCN)species Globodera pallida(pathotypes pa2/3).Assuming that NLRs are involved in controlling many types of resistances,SmRT-AgRenSeq-d can readily be applied to diverse crops and pathogen systems.
