π-Extension and chlorination of non-fullerene acceptors enable more readily processable and sustainable high-performance organic solar cells

Organic solar cells(OSCs)processed without halogenated solvents and complex treatments are essential for future ***,we report three novel small molecule acceptors(NFAs)consisting of a Y6-like core but withπ-extended naphthalene with progressively more chlorinated end-capping groups and a longer branched chain on the Nitrogen *** NFAs exhibit good solubilities in nonchlorinated organic solvents,broad optical absorptions,closeπ-πstacking distances(3.63–3.84A),and high electron mobilities(~10^(-3)cm^(2)V^(-1)s^(-1)).The o-xylene processed and as-cast binary devices using PM6 as the donor polymer exhibit a PCE increasing upon progressive chlorination of the naphthalene end-capping group from 8.93%for YN to 14.38%for YN-Cl to 15.00%for *** similarly processed ternary OSCs were fabricated by employing YN-Cl and YN-2Cl as the third component of PM6:CH1007 blends(PCE=15.75%).Compared to all binary devices,the ternary PM6:CH1007:YN-Cl(1:1:0.2)and PM6:CH1007:YN-2Cl(1:1:0.2)cells exhibit significantly improved PCEs of 16.49%and15.88%,respectively,which are among the highest values reported to date for non-halogenated solvent processed OSCs without using any additives and blend post-deposition treatments.

Despite the significant progress made recently in all-polymer solar cells(all-PSCs),it is still quite challenging to achieve high open-circuit voltage(V_(oc))and short-circuit current density(j.(sc))simultaneously in order to further improve their *** recent strategy of using selenophene to replace thiophene on the Y6 based polymer acceptors has resulted in significantly improved j.(sc)s of the resulting ***,such modifications have also depressed V_(oc),which compromises the overall performance of the ***,we present the design and synthesis of a novel polymer acceptor,PYT-1S1Se,created by inserting an asymmetrical selenophene-fused framework to precisely manipulate optical absorption and electronic *** with the selenium-free analog,PYT-2S,and symmetrical selenium-fused analog,PYT-2Se,the PYT-1S1Se derived all-PSCs not only deliver optimized j.(sc)(24.1 mA cm^(−2))and V_(oc)(0.926 V)metrics,but also exhibit a relatively low energy loss of 0.502 ***,these devices obtain a record-high power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 16.3%in binary *** work demonstrates an effective molecular design strategy for balancing the trade-off between V_(oc) and j.(sc) to achieve highefficiency all-PSCs.

Demonstrate that the key factor to determine the activity of reconstructed surfaces is the surface chemistry, instead of reconstruction degree using the popular perovskite LaNi1-xFexO3 oxides as model *** content can influence both the surface reconstruction degree, the activation degree, and the activity of reconstructed *** oxygen evolution reaction activity of reconstructed catalysts is primarily governed by the chemistry of the reconstructed surface species. Water splitting hinges crucially on the availability of electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction. The surface reconstruction has been widely observed in perovskite catalysts, and the reconstruction degree has been often correlated with the activity enhancement. Here, a systematic study on the roles of Fe substitution in activation of perovskite LaNiO3 is reported. The substituting Fe content influences both current change tendency and surface reconstruction degree. LaNi0.9Fe0.1O3 is found exhibiting a volcano-peak intrinsic activity in both pristine and reconstructed among all substituted perovskites in the LaNi1-xFexO3 (x = 0.00, 0.10, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1.00) series. The reconstructed LaNi0.9Fe0.1O3 shows a higher intrinsic activity than most reported NiFe-based catalysts. Besides, density functional theory calculations reveal that Fe substitution can lower the O 2p level, which thus stabilize lattice oxygen in LaNi0.9Fe0.1O3 and ensure its long-term stability. Furthermore, it is vital interesting that activity of the reconstructed catalysts relied more on the surface chemistry rather than the reconstruction degree. The effect of Fe on the degree of surface reconstruction of the perovskite is decoupled from that on its activity enhancement after surface reconstruction. This finding showcases the importance to customize the surface chemistry of reconstructed catalysts for water oxidation.

We raise the possibility that the very dense, compact companion of PSR j.719-1438, which has a j.piter-like mass, is an exotic quark obj.ct rather than a light helium or carbon white dwarf. The exotic hypothesis naturally explains some of the observed features, and provides quite strong predictions for this system, to be confirmed or refuted in feasible future studies.

ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY OF IODINE DOPED POLY(PHTHALOCYANINATOSILOXANE)/PPTA BLEND FIBERS

Poly（phthalocyaninatosiloxane）, [Si（Pc）O]n, with the number average degree of polymerization of about 130 was prepared by heating its monomer Si（Pc）（OH）2, in solid state at 420℃for 42 hrs at 10-3 torr dynamic vacuum. The [Si（Pc）O]n powder was iodine doped with I2-bensene solution for 48 hrs. Pure iodine doped poly（phthalocyaninatosiloxune）, {[Si（Pc）O]Iy}n, fibers and {[Si（Pc）O]Iy}n/poly（p-pbenylene terephthalamide） blend fibers were wet-spun with dry nltrogen-sealed Teflon lined device. D.C. electrical conductivity of the fibers was measured by the four-probe method with an automated charge transport measurement system from 80K to room temperature. It was found that the dependence of conductivity, σ, on temperature, T, could fit a group of thermal fluctuation-induced tunnelling （TFIT） equations, and that the dependence of conductivity on volume fraction, φ, of the iodine doped {[Si（Pc）O]Iy}n could fit a group of modified percolation equations. A thrce-dimensioual composite plot of σ-1 / T-φshows that these two groups of equations match each other quite well. It has been pointed out that for the blend fibers their composition is the most important factor for both mechanical and electrical properties.

We have successfully demonstrated that high quality and high dielectric constant layers can be fabricated by low temperature photo-induced or -assisted processing. Ta_2O_5 and ZrO_2 have been deposited at t<400 ℃ by means of a UV photo-CVD technique and HfO_2 by photo-assisted sol-gel processing with the aid of excimer lamps. The UV annealing of as-grown layers was found to significantly improve their electrical properties. Low leakage current densities on the order of 10 -8 A/cm 2 at 1 MV/cm for deposited ultrathin Ta_2O_5 films and ca.10 -6 A/cm 2 for the photo-CVD ZrO_2 layers and photo-irradiated sol-gel HfO_2 layers have been readily achieved. The improvement in the leakage properties of these layers is attributed to the UV-generated active oxygen species O( 1D) which strongly oxidize any suboxides to form more stoichiometric oxides on removing certain defects, oxygen vacancies and impurities present in the as-prepared layers. The photo-CVD Ta_2O_5 films deposited across 10.16-cm Si wafers exhibit a high thickness uniformity with a variation of less than \{±2.0%\} being obtained for ultrathin ca.10 nm thick films. The lamp technology can in principle be extended to larger area wafers, providing a promising low temperature route to the fabrication of a range of high quality thin films for future ULSI technology.

Moderate to severe perinatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy occurs in~1 to 3/1000 live births in high-income countries and is associated with a significant risk of death or neurodevelopmental *** assessment is important to help identify highrisk infants,to help families,and to support appropriate interventions.A wide range of monitoring tools is available to assess changes over time,including urine and blood biomarkers,neurological examination,and *** present,magnetic resonance imaging is unique as although it is expensive and not suited to monitoring the early evolution of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy by a week of life it can provide direct insight into the anatomical changes in the brain after hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and so offers strong prognostic information on the long-term outcome after hypoxic-ischemic *** review investigated the temporal dynamics of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy inj.ries,with a particular emphasis on exploring the correlation between the prognostic implications of magnetic resonance imaging scans in the first week of life and their relationship to long-term outcome prediction,particularly for infants treated with therapeutic hypothermia.A comprehensive literature search,from 2016 to 2024,identified 20 pertinent *** review highlights that while the optimal timing of magnetic resonance imaging scans is not clear,overall,it suggests that magnetic resonance imaging within the first week of life provides strong prognostic *** challenges limit the timing consistency,particularly the need for intensive care and clinical ***,although most reports examined the prognostic value of scans taken between 4 and 10 days after birth,there is evidence from small numbers of cases that,at times,brain inj.ry may continue to evolve for weeks after *** suggests that in the future it will be important to explore a wider range of times after hypo
