High-precision inverse potentials for neutron-proton scattering using piece-wise smooth Morse functions

The aim of this study is to construct inverse potentials for various ℓ-channels of neutron-proton scattering using a piece-wise smooth Morse function as a *** phase equations for single-channel states and the coupled equations of multi-channel scattering are solved numerically using the 5^(th) order Runge-kutta *** employ a piece-wise smooth reference potential comprising three Morse functions as the initial *** a machine learning-based genetic algorithm,we optimize the model parameters to minimize the mean-squared error between simulated and anticipated phase *** approach yields inverse potentials for both single and multichannel scattering,achieving convergence to a mean-squared error≤10^(-3).The resulting scattering lengths"a_(0)"and effective ranges"r"for ^(3)S_(1) and ^(1)S_(0) states,expressed as[a_(0),r],are found to be[5.445(5.424),1.770(1.760)]and[–23.741(–23.749),2.63(2.81)],respectively;these values are in excellent agreement with experimental ***,the calculated total scattering cross-sections are highly consistent with their experimental counterparts,having a percentage error of less than 1%.This computational approach can be easily extended to obtain interaction potentials for charged particle scattering.

The distinction and precise identification of tumor nodules are crucial for timely lung cancer diagnosis andplanning intervention. This research work addresses the major issues pertaining to the field of medical imageprocessing while focusing on lung cancer computed Tomography (cT) images. In this context, the paper proposesan improved lung cancer segmentation technique based on the strengths of nature-inspired approaches. Thebetter resolution of cT is exploited to distinguish healthy subjects from those who have lung cancer. In thisprocess, the visual challenges of the K-means are addressed with the integration of four nature-inspired swarmintelligent techniques. The techniques experimented in this paper are K-means with Artificial Bee colony (ABc),K-means with cuckoo Search Algorithm (cSA), K-means with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), and Kmeanswith Firefly Algorithm (FFA). The testing and evaluation are performed on Early Lung cancer ActionProgram (ELcAP) database. The simulation analysis is performed using lung cancer images set against metrics:precision, sensitivity, specificity, f-measure, accuracy,Matthews correlation coefficient (Mcc), Jaccard, and *** detailed evaluation shows that the K-means with cuckoo Search Algorithm (cSA) significantly improved thequality of lung cancer segmentation in comparison to the other optimization approaches utilized for lung cancerimages. The results exhibit that the proposed approach (K-means with cSA) achieves precision, sensitivity, and Fmeasureof 0.942, 0.964, and 0.953, respectively, and an average accuracy of 93%. The experimental results prove thatK-meanswithABc,K-meanswith PSO,K-meanswith FFA, andK-meanswithcSAhave achieved an improvementof 10.8%, 13.38%, 13.93%, and 15.7%, respectively, for accuracy measure in comparison to K-means segmentationfor lung cancer images. With the development of hardware devices and the upgrading of smartphones,a large number of users save privacy-related information in mobile devices,mainly smartphones,which puts forward higher demands on the protection of mobile users’privacy *** present,mobile user authenticationmethods based on humancomputer interaction have been extensively studied due to their advantages of high precision and non-perception,but there are still shortcomings such as low data collection efficiency,untrustworthy participating nodes,and lack of *** this end,this paper proposes a privacy-enhanced mobile user authentication method with motion sensors,which mainly includes:(1)construct a smart contract-based private chain and federated learning to improve the data collection efficiency of mobile user authentication,reduce the probability of the model being bypassed by attackers,and reduce the overhead of data centralized processing and the risk of privacy leakage;(2)Use certificateless encryption to realize the authentication of the device to ensure the credibility of the client nodes participating in the calculation;(3)combine Variational Mode Decomposition(VMD)and Long Short-TermMemory(LSTM)to analyze and model the motion sensor data of mobile devices to improve the accuracy of model *** experimental results on the real environment dataset of 1513 people show that themethod proposed in this paper can effectively resist poisoning attacks while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of mobile user authentication.

BAcKGROUND: Treatment of chronic hepatitis B (cHB) alone with interferon or lamivudine alone or in combination is effective in only a small proportion of patients. Treatment of patients in whom antiviral therapy fails is challenging. This study was made to determine the efficacy of combined pegylated interferon alpha (peg-IFN) and lamivudine in patients with cHB who had failed to respond to antiviral treatment. METHODS: Twenty patients with cHB proven by liver biopsy, with ALT levels >1.5×ULN,HBV DNA levels>141 500 copies/ml, and previous treatment failure with an adequate regimen were treated with a combination of peg-IFN 1.5μg/kg and lamivudine 100 mg/day for 52 weeks and followed up for a further 24 weeks. Biochemical response was defined as normalization of ALT and DNA response as HBV DNAcopies/ml. Secondary efficacy measures included HBsAg loss, HBeAg loss and appearance of anti-HBe (in cases of HBeAg-positive patients). RESULTS: Twenty patients were treated, of whom 16 were HBeAg positive. At 52 weeks, normal ALT was seen in 10 (50%) (8 of 16 HBeAg+ and 2 of 4 HBeAg), HBV DNA response in 5 (25%) (5 of 16 in HBeAg+ and none in HBeAg-), and HBeAg loss with appearance of anti-HBe in 5 (31.3%) of the 16 HBeAg positive patients. At 76 weeks, 8 (80%) of the 10 patients with normal ALT at 52 weeks relapsed, with normal ALT only in 2 (10%) (1 of 16 HBeAg+ and 1 of 4 HBeAg-), and all 5 patients who had a DNA response at 52 weeks relapsed at 76 weeks and had no DNA response. HBeAg loss with appearance of anti-HBe was seen in 1 (6.3%) of 16 HBeAg-positive patients. None of the patients lost HBsAg. cONcLUSIONS: The combination of peg-IFN and lamivudine for 52 weeks is not effective for treatment of cHB patients with a failed treatment. New treatment strategies need to be developed.

Variation in the Flaring Potential of Different Sunspot Groups During Different Phases of Solar cycles 23 and 24

In this present study,we have analyzed different types of X-ray solar flares(c,M,and X classes)coming out from different classes of sunspot groups(SSGs).The data which we have taken under this study cover the duration of 24 yr from 1996 to *** this,we observed a total of 15015 flares(8417 in Sc-23 and 6598 in Sc-24)emitted from a total of 33780 active regions(21746 in Sc-23 and 12034 in Sc-24)with sunspot *** defined the flaring potential or flare-production potential as the ratio of the total number of flares produced from a particular type of SSG to the total number of the same-class SSGs observed on the solar *** we studied yearly changes in the flaring potential of different McIntosh class groups of sunspots in different phases of Sc-23 and *** addition,we investigated yearly variations in the potential of producing flares by different SSGs(A,B,c,D,E,F,and H)during different phases(ascending,maximum,descending,and minimum)of Sc-23 and *** are our findings:(1)D,E,and F SSGs have the potential of producing flares≥8 times greater than A,B,c and H SSGs;(2)The larger and more complex D,E,and F SSGs produced nearly 80%of flares in Sc-23 and 24;(3)The A,B,c and H SSGs,which are smaller and simpler,produced only 20%of flares in Sc-23 and 24;(4)The biggest and most complex SSGs of F-class have flaring potential 1.996 and 3.443 per SSG in Sc-23 and 24,respectively.(5)The potential for producing flares in each SSG is higher in Sc-24 than in Sc-23,although Sc-24 is a weaker cycle than Sc-23.(6)The alterations in the number of flares(c+M+X)show different time profiles than the alterations in sunspot numbers during Sc-23 and 24,with several peaks.(7)The SSGs of c,D,E,and H-class have the highest flaring potential in the descending phase of both Sc-23 and 24.(8)F-class SSGs have the highest flaring potential in the descending phase of Sc-23 but also in the maximum phase of Sc-24.
