We investigate a cogenesis mechanism within the twin Higgs setup that can naturally explain the nature of dark matter,the cosmic coincidence puzzle,little hierarchy problem,leptogenesis,and the tiny neutrino *** heavy Majorana neutrinos are introduced to the standard model sector and the twin sector respectively,which explain the tiny neutrino masses and generate the lepton asymmetry and the twin lepton asymmetry at the same *** twin cogenesis mechanism applies to any viable twin Higgs model without an explicit Z_(2)breaking in the leptonic sector and evading theΔN_(eff) *** illustrate the twin cogenesis mechanism using the neutrino-philic twin two Higgs doublet model,a newly proposed model to lift the twin neutrino masses with spontaneous Z_(2)*** dark photon with a Stueckelberg mass O(10)MeV ensures the energy in the twin sector as well as the symmetric component of twin sector particles can be *** lightest twin baryons are the dark matter candidates with masses of approximately 5.5 GeV,which explains naturally the amount of dark matter and visible matter in the Universe are of the same *** also demonstrate twin cogenesis in the fraternal twin Higgs setup,in which the dark matter candidate is the twin bottom bound stateΩ’_(b’b’b’).

Substa ntial progresses have bee n made toward the developme nt of meta I-free catalysts for stereoselective rin g-ope ning polymeriza-tion(ROP)of *** the discovery of organic catalysts effective at ambient temperature remains a major ***,the bifunctional H-bonding catalyst SQ-1 containing a basic tertiary amine and squaramide motif proved to be good candidate for the stereoselective ROP of rac-lactide at room temperature,yielding stereoregular polylactide with controlled molecular weights(up to 21.1 kg/mol)and high tacticity(PjESC up to 0.88).Furthermore,binary H-b on ding catalytic system con sisti ng of squaramides(SQ-2 to SQ-6)and 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene(DBU)could efficiently promote the ROP of rac-lactide at room temperature within short reaction *** them,the most bulky squaramide SQ-2 exhibited the best steroselectivity towards the ROP of rac-lactide without transesterification side reactions during the polymerization *** resulting polylactides were proved to have controlled molecular weights as high as 22.2 kg/mol and narrow distributions(1.10-1.24).

Many tissues and organ systems have intrinsic regeneration capabilities that are largely driven and maintained by tissue-resident stem cell populations. In recent years, growing evidence has demonstrated that cellular metabolic homeostasis plays a central role in mediating stem cell fate, tissue regeneration, and homeostasis. Thus, a thorough understanding of the mechanisms that regulate metabolic homeostasis in stem cells may contribute to our knowledge on how tissue homeostasis is maintained and provide novel insights for disease management. In this review, we summarize the known relationship between the regulation of metabolic homeostasis and molecular pathways in stem cells. We also discuss potential targets of metabolic homeostasis in disease therapy and describe the current limitations and future directions in the development of these novel therapeutic targets.

I read with interest an article "Updated meta-analysis of pancreatic stent placement in preventing post-endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography pancreatitis" by Fan and colleagues in World J Gastroenterol 2015;21(24): 7577-7583. Although I appreciate their work, I have found problems with the data extracted and analyzed by the authors, and will give my comment in this letter. It would be valuable if the authors could provide an accurate estimation of their extracted data.

The BiOBr crystals doped with N and/or S have been prepared by a facile and rapid solvothermal method using urea and/or thiourea as doped resource. The morphologies and structures of the as-prepared samples were characterized by SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS and PL spectrum. Their electronic structures have been investigated and discussed using first principles based on the density functional theory. The photocatalytic properties of the products can be adjusted by the content and species of dopants.

An algorithm for the biochemical imaging of heterogeneity in the bio-tissue with finite parallel-plane geometry simultaneously using the data of reflectance and transmittance of diffuse-photon density waves is *** this algorithm, the priori knowledge of heterogeneity is not needed. This algorithm is suitable for the imaging of heterogeneity in the large volume tissue and in small organs. To reduce the errors produced by the algorithm, it is suggested that the experiment should be performed in two steps, at first step the light source should be placed at one boundary to measure the data of reflectance and transmittance, and these data are used to construct the heterogeneous function in the haff space close to the light source; at the second step the light source should be placed at another boundary to measure the data of reflectance and transmittance, these data are used to construct the heterogeneous function in another half space closed to the light source; after taking above two steps the heterogeneous function in the whole space is constructed.

The Wangjiadashan area in Suizhou-Zaoyang region of Hubei Province in the Tongbai-Dabie orogenic belt hosts important copper-gold deposits and contains a large number of quartz syenite porphyry dykes,occurring mostly along the NEE-trend *** this study,we used LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating method and obtained an age of 143.6±1.4 Ma,which represents the emplacement of these quartz syenite porphyry dykes was at the Yanshanian,but it was slightly earlier than the previously reported ages(139-135 Ma)for granites widespreading in Suizao *** geochemical data of the Wangjiadashan quartz syenite porphyry show high K_(2)O,CaO,Na_(2)O and Al_(2)O_(3)contents but extremely low MgO contents(0.01 wt.%-0.46 wt.%).The geochemical characteristics indicate that these quartz syenite porphyry dykes belong to the typical C-type adakite and were possibly formed in the post-collisional ***-isotopic(Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf)analyses indicate that these quartz syenite porphyry dykes were originated from crust without distinct mantle materials *** is suggested that the Wangjiadashan quartz syenite porphyry was generated from partial melting of the thickened lower continental crust,and garnet but no plagioclase was left as residual *** with the widespread granites of the Tongbai area,the Wangjiadashan quartz syenite porphyry formed earlier and derived from more juvenile and K-rich lower crust,while they all belong to intensive magmatism concentrated during the Early Cretaceous epoch in the Tongbai area.

BACKGROUND The glycemic control of children with type 1 diabetes(T1D)may be influenced by the economic status of their *** To investigate the association between parental economic status and blood glucose levels of children with T1D using a mobile health *** Data from children with T1D in China's largest T1D online community,Tang-TangQuan■.Blood glucose levels were uploaded every three months and parental economic status was evaluated based on annual household *** were divided into three groups:Low-income(100000 yuan)(1 Yuan=0.145 United States Dollar approximately).Blood glucose levels were compared among the groups and associations were explored using Spearman’s correlation analysis and multivariable logistic *** From September 2015 to August 2022,1406 eligible children with T1D were included(779 female,55.4%).Median age was 8.1 years(Q1-Q3:4.6-11.6)and duration of T1D was 0.06 years(0.02-0.44).Participants were divided into three groups:Low-income(n=320),middle-income(n=724),and high-income(n=362).Baseline hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)levels were comparable among the three groups(P=0.072).However,at month 36,the low-income group had the highest HbA1c levels(P=0.036).Within three years after registration,glucose levels increased significantly in the low-income group but not in the middle-income and high-income *** economic status was negatively correlated with pre-dinner glucose(r=-0.272,P=0.012).After adjustment for confounders,parental economic status remained a significant factor related to pre-dinner glucose levels(odds ratio=13.02,95%CI:1.99 to 126.05,P=0.002).CONCLUSION The blood glucose levels of children with T1D were negatively associated with parental economic *** is suggested that parental economic status should be taken into consideration in the management of T1D for children.

This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the synergistic impacts of the Atlantic multidecadal oscillation(AMO)and Pacific decadal oscillation(PDO)on the interdecadal variations of summer rainfall in Northeast *** the construction of four probable scenarios under various combinations of the AMO and PDO phases,it is found that when the AMO and PDO are out of phase,both of them induce a strong or weak East Asian summer monsoon and a low or high pressure system over Northeast Asia through atmospheric teleconnection,which results in significant wet or dry conditions over the whole of Northeast Asia through the effects of *** contrast,when the AMO and PDO are in-phase,they induce moderate and regional wet or dry conditions in Northeast Asia,and only a slightly strong or weak East Asian summer monsoon through the effects of *** the mid-1960 s-1990 s,a period of drought first began in Northeast Asia under a negative AMO and negative PDO in the mid-1960 s,which then increased in severity under a negative AMO and positive PDO in the 1980 s,before finally coming to an end under a positive AMO and negative PDO in the late 1990 *** interdecadal predictability of summer rainfall in Northeast Asia may reside in the interdecadal behavior of the North Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
