The short-range pair interaction consumes most of the CPU time in molecular dynamics(MD)*** inherent computation sparsity makes it challenging to achieve high-performance kernel on the emerging many-core *** this paper,we present a highly efficient short-range force kernel on the Sunway,a novel many-core architecture with many unique *** parallel efficiency of this algorithm on the Sunway many-core processor is strongly limited by the poor data locality and write *** enhance the data locality,we adopt a super cluster based neighbor list with an appropriate granularity that fits in the local memory of computing *** the absence of a low overhead locking mechanism,using data-privatization force array is a more feasible method to avoid write conflicts,but results in the large overhead of data *** adopt a dual-slice partitioning scheme for both hardware resources and computing tasks,which utilizes the on-chip data communication to reduce data reduction overhead and provide load ***,we exploit the single instruction multiple data(SIMD)parallelism and perform instruction reordering of the force kernel on this many-core *** experimental results show that the optimized force kernel obtains a performance speedup of 226x compared with the reference implementation and achieves 20%of peak flop rate on the Sunway many-core processor.

Studies have shown that hyperglycemia aggravates brain damage by affecting vascular endothelial function. However, the precise mechanism remains unclear. Male Sprague-Dawley rat models of diabetes were established by a high-fat diet combined with an intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin. Rat models of traumatic brain injury were established using the fluid percussion method. Compared with traumatic brain injury rats without diabetic, diabetic rats with traumatic brain injury exhibited more severe brain injury, manifested as increased brain water content and blood-brain barrier permeability, the upregulation of heme oxygenase-1, myeloperoxidase, and Bax, the downregulation of occludin, zona-occludens 1, and Bcl-2 in the penumbra, and reduced modified neurological severity scores. The intraperitoneal injection of a nitric oxide synthase inhibitor N(5)-(1-iminoethyl)-L-ornithine(10 mg/kg) 15 minutes before brain injury aggravated the injury. These findings suggested that nitric oxide synthase plays an important role in the maintenance of cerebral microcirculation, including anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative stress, and anti-apoptotic activities in diabetic rats with traumatic brain injury. The experimental protocols were approved by the Institutional Animal Care Committee of Harbin Medical University, China(approval No. ky2017-126) on March 6, 2017.

In order to improve the performance of peer-to-peer files sharing system under mobile distributed en- vironments, a novel always-optimally-coordinated （AOC） criterion and corresponding candidate selection algorithm are proposed in this paper. Compared with the traditional min-hops criterion, the new approach introduces a fuzzy knowledge combination theory to investigate several important factors that influence files transfer success rate and efficiency. Whereas the min-hops based protocols only ask the nearest candidate peer for desired files, the selection algorithm based on AOC comprehensively considers users＇ preferences and network requirements with flexible balancing rules. Furthermore, its advantage also expresses in the independence of specified resource discovering protocols, allowing for scalability. The simulation results show that when using the AOC based peer selection algorithm, system performance is much better than the rain-hops scheme, with files successful transfer rate improved more than 50% and transfer time re- duced at least 20%.

BACKGROUND Pseudohypoparathyroidism type Ia(PHP Ia) is a rare hereditary syndrome, and patients with early PHP Ia are generally not diagnosed based on the presentation of cutaneous nodules as the main clinical feature. Here, we describe a Chinese boy with PHP Ia in whom the main clinical feature was cutaneous nodules, and the patient exhibited a novel GNAS *** SUMMARY A 5-year-old boy presented with a 5-year history of cutaneous nodules scattered over his entire body. The patient had a short stature, round face, short neck, and slightly flattened nose;he also had multiple hard papules and cutaneous nodules scattered over his entire body. The patient had a significantly elevated parathyroid hormone level. His serum calcium level was reduced, while his serum phosphorus level was increased and his serum thyroid-stimulating hormone level was elevated. Skin biopsy showed osteoma cutis in subcutaneous tissue. Sanger sequencing revealed a frameshift mutation, c.399 del T(***133 Argfs*2) in exon 5 of the GNAS gene. The patient was diagnosed with PHP Ia and subclinical hypothyroidism. He was given 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D,calcium carbonate, and synthetic L-thyroxine. After 3 months of treatment, the patient’s parathyroid hormone level decreased, and his serum calcium and serum phosphorus levels were normal. Moreover, his thyroid-stimulating hormone level *** These findings can help dermatologists to diagnose PHP Ia in patients with cutaneous nodules as the main early clinical feature.

Glyphosate has been used worldwide for nearly 40 years,and 30 types of resistant weeds have been *** is mass-produced and widely used in China,but few studies and reports on glyphosate-resistant weeds and resistance mechanisms *** studies found a goosegrass species with high glyphosate resistance from orchards in South China and its glyphosate resistant mechanism was described in this *** cDNAof 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase（EPSPS,EC 2.***.1.19）,the target enzyme of glyphosate,was cloned from the glyphosate-resistant and-susceptible goosegrass,respectively,and referred as EPSPS-R and *** Pro106 residue was known to be involved in the glyphosate resistance in most goosegrass ***,sequence analysis did not find the mutation at the Pro106 residue in the R biotype EPSPS amino acid *** residue 133 and 382 was mutated in the R biotype EPSPS amino acid sequence instead,but it did not affect the EPSPS-S and EPSPS-R genes sensitivities to ***-PCR and Western blot analyses suggested that EPSPS mRNA and protein are mainly present in the shoot tissues both in the R and S goosegrass *** EPSPS-R rapidly responds to the glyphosate in R-biotype goosegrass and the induced expression was detected at 12 h post glyphosate *** mRNA and protein expression of EPSPS-R increased constantly as the increasing concentration of ***,the expression of the EPSPS-S was not induced significantly by glyphosate in the S goosegrass *** of real-time PCR results showed that the copy number of the EPSPS in R-biotype goosegrass was 4.7 times higher than that in the S goosegrass *** the results implied that EPSPS gene amplification might mainly caused the glyphosate resistance of a goosegrass population collected from orchards in South China.

The synthesis of a thioether inserted, core-shell structured polymer from the scaffold of hyperbranched polyglycerol (PG) was described. PG was first allyl functionalized, and in the presence of AlBN, the allyl groups further underwent radical addition to thiol compounds, thus thiol functional polyethylene oxide monomether (MPEO) were grafted onto PG. Similarly, 2-mercaptoethylammonium chloride was introduced onto PG via thiol addition, and the residual amino groups were further quaternized with decyl bromide, leading to an amphiphilic core-shell structure polymer. Spherical micro-Ti particle(TiP)-reinforced AZ91 magnesium alloy composites were fabricated by semi-solid stirring assisted ultrasonic vibration,which were then subjected to hot *** microstructure results showed that the addition of Ti particles refined the grain size and decreased the texture intensity of the as-extruded AZ91 *** Al3Ti phase with a thickness of 100 nm formed at the Ti/Mg interface,which had a non-coherent relationship with the magnesium *** as-extruded 1 vol.%TiP/AZ91 composite exhibited the best comprehensive mechanical properties,with yield strength,ultimate tensile strength,and elongation at break of 366 MPa,456 MPa,and 14.6%,respectively,which were significantly higher than those of the AZ91 ***,the addition of Ti particles can improve the strength and ductility of the AZ91 alloy,demonstrating the value of magnesium matrix composites for commercial applications.

Objective:The efflux pump(EP) is one of the major mechanisms of antibiotic resistance in Klebsiella ***,there are few reports on the effect of the abuse of antibiotic use on the activity of *** determine whether the use of low efficacy antibiotics has any effect on the activity of EPs and induces drug resistance in ***,we investigated the effect of ciprofloxacin on the activity of EPs in *** ***:Sixteen susceptible *** strains were isolated from patients and their minimum inhibitory concentrations(MICs) of ciprofloxacin were measured in the absence and presence of the pump inhibitor carbonyl cyanide m-chlorophenyl hydrazone(CCCP).The strains were then induced with a gradient of ciprofloxacin until the MICs of the strains showed no further increase,to obtain induced resistant *** EP activities of the strains before and after induction were compared using EP inhibition and ethidium bromide(EtBr) accumulation ***:The MIC values of the strains were 16 256 times higher after induction than before *** the presence of CCCP,the MIC values of 50% of the induced strains were 2 4-fold lower than that in the absence of this *** EtBr accumulation assay showed that the fluorescence of EtBr in the induced cells was lower than that in the cells before ***:EPs are widespread in susceptible and drug-resistant *** *** with ciprofloxacin may increase the activity of EPs in *** EtBr accumulation assay is more sensitive than the EP inhibition assay in evaluating the activity of EPs in ***.
