Interseismic slip distribution and locking characteristics of the mid-southern segment of the Tanlu fault zone

We employ the block negative dislocation model to invert the distribution of fault coupling and slip rate deficit on the different segments of the Tanlu(Tancheng-Lujiang) fault zone, according to the GPS horizontal velocity field from 1991 to 2007(the first phase) and 2013 to 2018(the second phase). By comparing the deformation characteristics results, we discuss the relationship between the deformation characteristics with the M earthquake in Japan. The results showed that the fault coupling rate of the northern section of Tancheng in the second phase reduced compared with that in the first phase. However, the results of the two phases showed that the northern section of Juxian still has a high coupling rate, a deep blocking depth, and a dextral compressive deficit, which is the enrapture section of the 1668 Tancheng earthquake. At the same time, the area strain results show that the strain rate of the central and eastern regions of the second phase is obviously enhanced compared with that of the first phase. The occurrence of the great earthquake in Japan has played a specific role in alleviating the strain accumulation in the middle and south sections of the Tanlu fault zone. The results of the maximum shear strain show that the shear strain in the middle section of the Tanlu fault zone in the second phase is weaker than that in the first phase, and the maximum shear strain in the southern section is stronger than that in the first phase. The fault coupling coefficient of the south Sihong to Jiashan section is high, and it is also the unruptured section of historical earthquakes. At the same time, small earthquakes in this area are not active and accumulate stress easily, so the future earthquake risk deserves attention.

Quantum resources offer intrinsic randomness that is valuable for applications such as cryptography, scientific simulation, and computing. Silicon-based photonics chips present an excellent platform for the cost-effective deployment of next-generation quantum systems on a large scale, even at room temperature. Nevertheless,the potential susceptibility of these chips to hacker control poses a challenge in ensuring security for on-chip quantum random number generation, which is crucial for enabling extensive utilization of quantum resources.

Aerosol-radiation interaction and its variation in North China within 2015–2019 period under continuous PM_(2.5)improvements

A study was conducted on aerosol-radiation interactions over six cities in this region within the 2015–2019 ***-Chem simulations on 2017 showed that based on the six-city average,the aerosol load(PM_(2.5)concentrations)of 121.9,49.6,43.3,and 66.3μg/m^(3)in January,April,July,and October,mainly lowered the level of downward shortwave radiation by 38.9,24.0,59.1,and 24.4 W/m~2and reduced the boundary layer height by 79.9,40.8,87.4,and 31.0 m,via scattering and absorbing solar *** sensitivity of meteorological changes to identical aerosol loads varied in the order July>January>October and ***,the cooling and stabilizing effects of aerosols further led to increases in PM_(2.5),by23.0,3.4,4.6,and 7.3μg/m^(3)respectively in the four *** sensitivity of the effect of aerosols on PM_(2.5)was greatest in January rather than in July,contrary to the effect on ***,a negative linear relation was observed between daily BLH reductions and aerosol loads in fall and winter,and between PM_(2.5)increases and aerosol loads in all *** the PM_(2.5)pollution improvements in this region,the aerosol radiative forcing was effectively *** should result in daily BLH increases of 10–24 m in fall and winter,and the estimates in Beijing agreed well with the corresponding results based on AMDAR ***,the reduction in aerosol radiation effects brought about daily PM_(2.5)decreases of 1.6-2.8μg/m^(3),accounting for 7.0%–17.7%in PM_(2.5)improvements.

Improving flangeability of multiphase steel by increasing microstructural homogeneity

Multiphase microstructure significantly increases the strength,usually at the expense of flangeability because of lacking microstructure *** further improve the strength-flangeability of multiphase steel,the microstructural homogeneity was advanced by adjusting the hard martensite/austenite(M/A)*** strength-flangeability was measured via uniaxial tensile tests and hole expansion *** microstructures were characterized using a scanning electron microscope equipped with an electron backscatter diffraction detector and a transmission electron *** tests were supplementally used to quantitatively reveal the microstructural homogeneity of the *** show that the adjusted multiphase steel achieves an excellent ultimate tensile strength(~800 MPa)and flangeability(~135%hole expansion ratio).A promising homogeneous multiphase microstructure was obtained by controlling undercooled austenite transformed at about 600℃.This microstructure consists of soft polygonal ferrite,blocky bainitic ferrite,and hard M/A *** volume fraction of M/A islands is around 5%,and the average size is less than l *** nanoindentation analysis indicated that the participation of M/A islands impressively influenced the microstructural *** strain partition and better mechanical compatibility were present in the adjusted multiphase steel since the plasticity initiation started late,which resulted in a positive ***,avoiding M/A islands distributed in the chain along the rolling direction on the matrix hindered the possibility of voids coalescing into cracks and stabilized the flanging performance.

Herein,a novel single-atomic Pt doping and interface-rich CoS/Co(OH)_(2)(Pt-CoS/Co(OH)_(2)/C)electrocatalyst has been successfully *** from precise regulation of d-orbital electronic structure modulation on Co site,Pt-CoS/Co(OH)_(2)/C exhibited remarkable HER activity and high stability for hydrogen evolution in splitting both water(73 mV@10 mA·cm^(−2)) and seawater(87 mV@10 mA·cm^(−2)).Notably,atomic Pt doping was introduced into CoS/Co(OH)_(2),which could produce local unbalanced Coulombic force and significantly increased the number of S vacancies,and then expose abundant Co ***,Co(OH)_(2) in Pt-CoS/Co(OH)_(2)/C could act as the adsorption sites for H_(2)O in hydrogen evolution reaction *** functional theory results also proved that atomic Pt doping,S vacancies and Co(OH)_(2) coupling could result in the formation of enriched electronic Co sites and optimize d_(z2) orbital electronic structure,and then realize the depth upward shift of d-band center and enhance the adsorption of H*on Co sites.

Cerium refinement of grains and primary carbides during solidification of Cr_(4)Mo_(4)V bearing steel

The effect of cerium(Ce)on the solidification microstructure of Cr_(4)Mo_(4)V bearing steel was investigated via a combined experimental and theoretical *** a trace amount(0.056 wt%)of Ce addition,the coarse columnar grains in as-cast microstructure transform into equiaxed ones,and the average diameter is reduced from 56 to 27μ*** network-like and bulky primary MC and M2C carbides at the interdendritic regions become disconnected and refined,and their volume percentage decreases from4.15 vol%to 2.1 vol%.Ce-inclusions acting as heterogeneous nucleation agents of prior-austenite grains and Ce atoms segregating at grain boundaries,both contribute to the refinement of *** calculations reveal that primary carbides are precipitated afterγ-austenite forms near the end of the solidification *** modification of primary carbides in size and amount is mainly attributed to the isolated remaining melt separated by refinedγ-austenite grains in which the nucleation of carbides is promoted,while the growth is restrained owing to the less segregation of alloying elements.

Data-driven Wasserstein distributionally robust chance-constrained optimization for crude oil scheduling under uncertainty

Crude oil scheduling optimization is an effective method to enhance the economic benefits of oil *** uncertainties,including uncertain demands of crude distillation units(CDUs),might make the production plans made by the traditional deterministic optimization models infeasible.A data-driven Wasserstein distributionally robust chance-constrained(WDRCC)optimization approach is proposed in this paper to deal with demand uncertainty in crude oil ***,a new deterministic crude oil scheduling optimization model is developed as the basis of this *** Wasserstein distance is then used to build ambiguity sets from historical data to describe the possible realizations of probability distributions of uncertain demands.A cross-validation method is advanced to choose suitable radii for these ambiguity *** deterministic model is reformulated as a WDRCC optimization model for crude oil scheduling to guarantee the demand constraints hold with a desired high probability even in the worst situation in ambiguity *** proposed WDRCC model is transferred into an equivalent conditional value-at-risk representation and further derived as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming *** case studies from a real-world refinery are conducted to show the effectiveness of the proposed ***-of-sample tests demonstrate that the solution of the WDRCC model is more robust than those of the deterministic model and the chance-constrained model.

Optimization of mixing speed and time to disperse the composite conductive agent composed of carbon black and graphene in lithium-ion battery slurry

This paper proposed an optimal approach to disperse the composite conductive agent which is composed of carbon black(CB)and graphene(Gr)within lithium-ion battery(liB)slurry with different mixing speeds and mixing *** internal structures of liB slurry are characterized by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy,Scanning Electron Microscopy,and Raman ***,a composite conductive solution is prepared by mixing the composite conductive agent with NMP solvent under the conditions of five different mixing speeds n_(1)(n_(1)=1000,1100,1200,1300,1400 rpm)in the case of mixing time t_(1)=10 ***,liB slurry is prepared by blending the composite conductive solution,liCoO_(2)and PVDF-NMP solution under the conditions of five different mixing speeds n_(2)(n_(2)=1000±280,1100±280,1200±280,1300±280,1400±280 rpm)in the case of mixing time t_(2)=6 *** analyzing the internal structure of different liB slurries,it shows that in the case of n_(1)=n_(2)=1200 rpm,a conductive network structure is well formed within liB ***,in order to determine the optimal time to prepare the composite conductive solution for liB slurry,nine different t_(1)(t_(1)=0,10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80 min)are *** analyzing the internal structure of different liB slurries,a well-formed conductive network structure and a uniformly distributed composite conductive agent are deduced in liB slurry when t_(1)=50 ***,it can be concluded that the composite conductive agent composed of CB and Gr is able to be uniformly dispersed in liB slurry by establishing a well-formed conductive network structure under the optimal mixing speed n_(1)=n_(2)=1200 rpm and the optimal mixing time t_(1)=50 min,t_(2)=6 *** kind of the internal structure has the potential to be used to further analyze the dispersion characterizations of liB slurry under different composite conductive agent and CB/Gr ratios with the aim of improving the final performance of liB.
