Effect of Micro-scale Y Addition on the Fracture Properties of Al–Cu–Mn Alloy

Rare earth(RE) elements have positive e ects on Al alloy, while most research is focused on microstructure and mechanical properties. As important application indices, toughness and plasticity are properties that are sensitive to alloy fracture characteristics, and few research studies have characterized the fracture properties of Al–Cu–Mn alloy on RE elements. The e ect of di erent contents of Y on the fracture properties of Al–Cu–Mn alloy is investigated. T6 heat treatment(solid solution and artificial aging treatment), optical microscope(OM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS) methods are applied to the alloy. Results showed that when Y ele?ment is present at 0.1%, the section of the as?cast alloy has smaller sized dimples and the fracture mode presents duc?tile features. Slight changes in hardness are also observed and maintained at about 60 HV. With increasing content of the RE element Y from 0.1 to 0.5%, the θ phase and Cu atoms in the matrix were reduced and most stopped at Grain boundaries(GBs). Micro?segregation and an enriched zone of Y near the GBs gradually increased. At the same time, the inter?metallic compound AlCuY is aggregated at grain junctions causing deterioration of the micro?structure and fracture properties of the alloy. After T6 treatment, the flatness of the fracture surface was lower than that of all the as?cast alloy showing lots of dimples and teared edges with a significant increase in hardness. When Y content was 0.1%, the strength and hardness of the alloy increased due to refinement of the grain strengthening e ect. The content of Y elements segregated in the inter?dendritic zone and GBs is reduced. Plasticity and deformation compatibility also improved, making cracks di cult to form and merge with each other along adjacent grain junctions and providing an increased potential for ductile fracture. High-temperature deformation behavior and processing map of the as-cast Inconel 625 alloy

A short process of Inconel 625 alloy tube was developed to solve the problems of the traditional extrusion process,and particular attention was paid on the hot deformation behavior of the as-cast Inconel 625 *** hot compression experiments were performed to study the hot deformation behavior of Inconel 625 in the temperature range of 900-1200℃ and strain rate range of0.01-10.00 s^(-1) by *** hot compressed microstructure was examined to study the effects of temperature and strain rate on the microstructural characteristic by electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD).The results show that the processing maps were greatly influenced by the temperature rather than the strain *** is found that with the strain increasing,the instability zone gradually turned to the low-temperature and low strain rate area,while the range of high-temperature instability area *** optimum condition of the as-cast Inconel 625 alloy was determined as high strain rate region(temperature of1100-1200℃,strain rate of 1.00-10.00 s^(-1))with the dissipation efficiency of above *** illustrated by microstructural characteristic of EBSD analysis,the perfect dynamic recrystallization occurred and fine grain structure was obtained under this deformation conditions.

Effects of minor Y,Zr and Er addition on microstructure and properties of Al-5Cu-0.4Mn alloy

The effect of different contents of Y, Zr and Er on microstructure and properties of Al-5 Cu-0.4 Mn alloy was investigated. T6 heat treatment, OM, SEM and EDS methods were applied to the alloy. The results showed that fluidity and elongation of alloy adding Y, Zr and Er were improved, while with the increase of addition amounts, θ phase increased and grains were trended to grow up gradually. The Al-5 Cu-0.4 Mn alloy presented the maxed style of ductile and brittle fracture. After T6 heat treatment, the precipitation amounts of θ phase decreased dramatically and tensile strength and hardness significantly increased. Especially when addition contents were among 0.1-0.3 wt.%, tensile strength and hardness of heat-treated alloy increased greatly, almost doubled as that of the as-cast state. The tensile strength reached its maximum of 378.43 MPa when the addition amount was 0.3 wt.%. With the further increase of addition amounts, the elongation deteriorated and the proportion of ductile fracture reduced due to the limited dispersion strengthening effect of θ phase and Al_8Cu_4 Er. It demonstrated that addition of 0.1-0.3 wt.% Y, Zr and Er would generate positive effects and influences on Al-5 Cu-0.4 Mn alloy, which is significant for optimizing components and improving properties of Al-5 Cu-0.4 Mn alloy.

One of the primary goals of space-borne gravitational wave detectors is to detect and analyze extreme-mass-ratio inspirals(EMRIs). This task is particularly challenging because EMRI signals are complex, lengthy, and faint. In this work, we introduce a2-layer convolutional neural network(CNN) approach to detect EMRI signals for space-borne detectors, achieving a true positive rate(TPR) of 96.9% at a 1% false positive rate(FPR) for signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) from 50 to 100. Especially, the key intrinsic parameters of EMRIs such as the mass, spin of the supermassive black hole(SMBH) and the initial eccentricity of the orbit can also be inferred directly by employing a neural network. The mass and spin of the SMBH can be determined at 99% and 92% respectively. This will greatly reduce the parameter spaces and computing cost for the following Bayesian parameter *** model also has a low dependency on the accuracy of the waveform model. This study underscores the potential of deep learning methods in EMRI data analysis, enabling the rapid detection of EMRI signals and efficient parameter estimation.

Genistein protects hippocampal neurons against injury by regulating calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinase Ⅳ protein levels in Alzheimer's disease model rats

Genistein has a neuroprotective effect in Alzheimer＇s disease, but its mechanism of action needs further clarification. Accumulating evidence suggests that excessive phosphorylation of tau protein causes production of neurofibrillary tangles, which is one of the main pathological characteristics of Alzheimer＇s disease, and tau protein can be phosphorylated by calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinase IV （CAMK4）. After 7 days of pre-administration of genistein （90 mg/kg）, an Alzheimer＇s disease rat model was established using an intraperitoneal injection of D-galactose combined with an intracerebral injection of amyloid-β peptide （25-35）. The rat was then continu- ously administered genistein （90 mg/kg） for 42 days. The Morris water maze test, western blotting and hematoxylin-eosin staining results showed that genistein significantly decreased the escape latency and increased the number of times crossing the platform, reduced p-tau, CALM, CAMKK1 and p-CAMK4 protein levels in the hippocampus, and alleviated hippocampal neuron damage. These findings indicate that genistein may play a neuroprotective role in Alzheimer＇s disease through regulating CAMK4 to modulate tau hyperphosphorylation. Key

Influence of Cold-Rolling Reduction on Microstructure and Tensile Properties of Nuclear FeCrAl Alloy with Low Cr and Nb Contents

FeCrAl alloy is one of the most promising candidates as an accident-tolerant fuel(ATF)cladding ***,the influence of cold-rolling(CR)reduction on microstructure and tensile properties of the as-annealed FeCrAl alloys,with low Cr and Nb contents,is systematically *** the increase in CR reduction,the grain size of FeCrAl alloy is obviously refined after annealing because the increase in stored deformation energy leads to enhanced ***,the large CR reductions result in a severe mixed-grain microstructure,significantly reducing the uniform deformability of the FeCrAl *** dislocation density of the as-annealed FeCrAl alloy decreases with the increase in CR reduction,except for the excessive CR reduction of 50%.Moreover,the Laves phases are crushed and dissolved during CR and annealing,as well as large amounts of refined Laves phases are found after large CR *** pinning effect of the Laves phases can significantly improve the strength of FeCrAl ***,the strengthening mechanisms of FeCrAl alloy consist of fine-grain strengthening,dislocation strengthening and precipitation ***,the FeCrAl alloy,with a CR reduction of 30%,achieves optimal tensile *** study can provide theoretical guidance for the industrial production of the FeCrAl alloy.

PARTIALLY AVERAGED NAVIER-STOKES METHOD FOR TIME-DEPENDENT TURBULENT CAVITAting FLOWS

Cavitation typically occurs when the fluid pressure is lower than the vapor pressure in a local thermodynamic state,and the flow is frequently unsteady and *** Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes（RANS）approach has been popular for turbulent flow *** most widely used ones,such as the standard k-εmodel,have well-recognized deficiencies when treating time dependent flow *** identify ways to improve the predictive capability of the current RANS-based engineering turbulence closures,conditional averaging is adopted for the Navier-Stokes equation,and one more parameter,based on the filter size,is introduced into the k-ε*** the Partially Averaged Navier-Stokes（PANS）model,the filter width is mainly controlled by the ratio of unresolved-to-total kinetic *** model is assessed in unsteady cavitating flows over a Clark-Y *** the experimental validations regarding the forces,frequencies,cavity visualizations and velocity distributions,the PANS model is shown to improve the predictive capability considerably,in comparison to the standard k-ε model,and also,it is observed the value of1f in the PANS model has substantial influence on the predicting *** the filter width1f is decreased,the PANS model can effectively reduce the eddy viscosity near the closure region which can significantly influence the capture of the detach cavity,and this model can reproduce the time-averaged velocity quantitatively around the hydrofoil.

Techniques for Radar Imaging Based onMUSIC Algorithm

At first, the radar target scattering centers model and MUSIC algorithm are analyzed in this paper. How to efficiently set the parameters of the MUSIC algorithms is given by a great deal of simulated radar data in experiments. After that, according to measured data from two kinds of plane targets on fully polarized and high range resolution radar system, the author mainly investigated particular utilization of MUSIC algorithm in radar imaging. And two-dimensional radar images are generated for two targets measured in compact range. In the end, a conclusion is drew about the relation of radar target scattering properties and imaging results.
