Remarkable developments in image recognition technology trigger demands for more advanced imaging *** recent years,traditional image sensors,as the go-to imaging devices,have made substantial progress in their optoelectronic characteristics and ***,a new breed of imaging device with information processing capability,known as neuromorphic vision sensors,is developed by mimicking biological *** this review,we delve into the recent progress of imaging devices,specifically image sensors and neuromorphic vision *** review starts by introducing their core components,namely photodetectors and photonic synapses,while placing a strong emphasis on device structures,working mechanisms and key performance *** it proceeds to summarize the noteworthy achievements in both image sensors and neuromorphic vision sensors,including advancements in large-scale and highresolution imaging,filter-free multispectral recognition,polarization sensitivity,flexibility,hemispherical designs,and self-power supply of image sensors,as well as in neuromorphic imaging and data processing,environmental adaptation,and ultra-low power consumption of neuromorphic vision ***,the challenges and prospects that lie ahead in the ongoing development of imaging devices are addressed.

Ionizable lipid nanocarriers have made historical contribution to COVID-19 mRNA ***,we report ionizable polymeric nanoparticles that co-deliver bi-adjuvant and neoantigen peptides for cancer immunotherapy in combination with immune checkpoint blockade(ICB).Current cancer ICB benefits only a small subset of patients,largely due to a lack of pre-existing target cells and checkpoint targets for ICB,tumor antigenic heterogeneity,and tumor *** vaccines hold the potential to enhance ICB therapeutic efficacy by expanding antitumor cell repertoires,upregulating immune checkpoint levels and hence sensitizing ICB,and reducing tumor *** defined peptide vaccines are attractive,but their current therapeutic efficacy has been limited due to 1)poor vaccine delivery to immunomodulatory lymph nodes(LNs)and antigen(Ag)-presenting cells(APCs),2)poor immunostimulant adjuvant efficacy with restricted target cell subsets in humans,3)limited adjuvant/Ag codelivery to enhance Ag immunogenicity,and 4)limited ability to overcome tumor antigenic ***,we developed nanovaccines(NVs)using pH-responsive polymeric micellular nanoparticles(NPs)for the codelivery of bi-adjuvant[Toll-like receptor(TLR)7/8 agonist R848 and TLR9 agonist CpG]and peptide neoantigens(neoAgs)to draining LNs for efficient Ag presentation in a broad range of APC *** NVs potentiated the immunogenicity of peptide Ags and elicits robust antitumor T cell responses with memory,and remodeled the tumor immune milium with reduced tumor *** a result,NVs significantly enhanced ICB therapeutic efficacy for murine colorectal tumors and orthotopic glioblastoma multiforme(GBM).These results suggest marked potential of bi-adjuvant/neoAg-codelivering NVs for combination cancer immunotherapy.

BACKGROUND We have previously proved that treatment of thick/deep infantile hemangiomas (IHs) with a long-pulse Alexandrite laser was clinically effective and safe. This article aims to investigate the efficiency of long-pulse Alexandrite laser use in treating thick and high-risk IHs located in particular anatomic areas and provides some new data on this issue. CASE suMMARY A two-month-old girl with a thick and high-risk IH covering most of the right labia majora was examined in this study. The infant received four treatment sessions at 4- to 6-wk intervals with a long-pulse Alexandrite laser with settings as follows: 3 ms pulse duration, 8 mm spot size, 45 to 50 J/cm2 fluences, and dynamic cooling device (DCD) spray duration of 90 ms with a delay of 80 ms. Following each of the four treatment sessions, the IH showed a remarkable reduction in thickness and size without any sign of relapse. Ten months after the last treatment, the IH had completely regressed without adverse effects. During the laser treatment, no severe side effects were observed;blistering occurred only immediately after treatment and then scabbed over the next day, gradually improving in the following days. CONCLUSION Long-pulse Alexandrite laser treatment may be considered one of the first-line noninvasive therapeutic options for the treatment of thick IH.

Exploring the Experiences of Personal Recovery among Mental Health Consumers and Their Caregivers Receiving Strength- Based Family Interventions

Background:This study explored the personal recovery of consumers and their caregivers receiving the strength-based family ***:A three-year project was implemented with 43 dyads from 5 community psychiatric rehabilitation agencies in northern,central,and Southern *** paper presents qualitative analysis with a focus on describing the experiences of personal *** gain a deeper understanding of the participants’personal experiences and perspectives,semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted on three occasions(six months after the inception of the experiment,18 months after,and when the participants left the services of this study).Over the three occasions,a total of 27 consumers and 28 caregivers were *** analysis was conducted based on grounded ***:Consumers expressed positive experiences in the domain of the recovery process(positive sense of self,taking responsibility,and better coping)and on the objective indicators of recovery(functioning,interpersonal interaction,and family relationship).Caregivers experienced lessened psychological *** also revealed improvements to their sense of self(recovery process)and subjective indicators of recovery outcomes,including feeling empowered and having a better quality of ***,they had better interaction with consumers(objective domain of recovery).Conclusion:These findings suggest that the strength-based perspective is an acceptable,culturally-compatible approach among Chinese mental health consumers and their *** investigators suggest that additional resources would be necessary to support a change in the service system in Taiwan so that family-based services can be provided to promote the recovery of mental health consumers and their family caregivers.

The GABAergic neurons in the parafacial zone（PZ） play an important role in sleep-wake regulation and have been identified as part of a sleep-promoting center in the brainstem, but the long-range connections mediating this function remain poorly characterized. Here, we performed whole-brain mapping of both the inputs and outputs of the GABAergic neurons in the PZ of the mouse brain. We used the modified rabies virus Env A-DG-Ds Red combined with a Cre/lox P gene-expression strategy to map the direct monosynaptic inputs to the GABAergic neurons in the PZ, and found that they receive inputs mainly from the hypothalamic area, zona incerta, and parasubthalamic nucleus in the hypothalamus; the substantia nigra, pars reticulata and deep mesencephalic nucleus in the midbrain;and the intermediate reticular nucleus and medial vestibular nucleus（parvocellular part） in the pons and *** also mapped the axonal projections of the PZ GABAergic neurons with adeno-associated virus, and defined the reciprocal connections of the PZ GABAergic neurons with their input and output nuclei. The newlyfound inputs and outputs of the PZ were also listed compared with the literature. This cell-type-specific neuronal whole-brain mapping of the PZ GABAergic neurons may reveal the circuits underlying various functions such as sleep-wake regulation.

We demonstrate that Mycobacterium tuberculosis recombinant leucine-responsive regulatory protein （rLrp） inhibits lipopolysaccharide （LPS）-induced tumor necrosis factor alpha （TNF-a）, interleukin-6, and interleukin-12 production and blocks the nuclear translocation of subunits of the nuclear-receptor transcription factor NF-KB （Nuclear factor-kappa B）. Moreover, rLrp attenuated LPS-induced DNA binding and NF-κB transcriptional activity, which was accompanied by the degradation of inhibitory IκBα and a consequent decrease in the nuclear translocation of the NF-κB p65 subunit. RLrp interfered with the LPS-induced clustering of TNF receptor-associated factor 6 and with interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 1 binding to TAKI. Furthermore, rLrp did not attenuate proinflammatory cytokines or the expression of CD86 and major histocompatibility complex class-II induced by interferon-gamma in the macrophages of Toll-like receptor 2 deletion （TLR2-/-） mice and in protein kinase b （Akt）-depleted mouse cells, indicating that the inhibitory effects of rLrp were dependent on TLR2-mediated activation of the phosphatidylinositol 3-OH kinase （PI3K）/ Akt pathway. RLrp could also activate the PI3K/Akt pathway by stimulating the rapid phosphorylation of PI3K, Akt, and glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta in macrophages. In addition, 19 amino acid residues in the N-terminus of rLrp were determined to be important and required for the inhibitory effects mediated by TLR2. The inhibitory function of these 19 amino acids of rLrp raises the possibility that mimetic inhibitory peptides could be used to restrict innate immune responses in situations in which prolonged TLR signaling has deleterious effects. Our study offers new insight into the inhibitory mechanisms by which the TLR2-mediated PI3K/Akt pathway ensures the transient expression of potent inflammatory mediators.
