Background:Techniques for identifying facial features and proving the individuality of a person’s facial features are used in forensic *** and Objectives:Acommon method in this area is cranial anthropometry,which has uses in facial reconstruction,locating unidentified remains,and identifying criminal *** and Methods:A study analyzed 200 standard full-face photographs of 50 males and 50 females to compare frontal and lateral facial images and identify male and female facial *** located landmarks and measured the distances between *** data were analyzed using statistical tests like t-tests and analysis of variance(ANOVA)***:The results showed that in 100%of the suggested measurements for both males and females,there were no statistically significant differences(p>0.05)between frontal and lateral *** ANOVA test,however,showed that all suggested measurements showed differences in the lateral aspect,while only 76.92%of them showed differences between the male and female groups in the frontal ***:In conclusion,statistically significant differences were found,rejecting the null hypothesis of equal means,when the level of significance(α)was lower than the p value(0.05).On the other hand,the null hypothesis was accepted when statistically insignificant differences were found and the level of significance was higher than the p *** there were differences between males and females in different views,the distances between landmarks in frontal and lateral views of the same person were generally *** taken in the lateral aspect were more accurate and displayed greater sexual dimorphism variation compared to those taken in the frontal aspect.

Ecological variation in resources can in flue nee the distributi on and en counter rates of potential mates and competitors and, con sequently, the opport unity for sexual selection. Factors that influence the likelihood that females mate multiply could also affect the potential for sperm competition. In Wellington tree weta (Hemideina crassidens, plural "weta"), the size of tree cavities (called galleries) used as refuges affects weta distribution and thus the opport unity for sexual selection and selection on male weaponry size. We examined the predicted effects of gallery size and male weap onry size on the potential for sperm competition. We asked if gallery size in flue need the potential for multiple mating by females and potential for sperm competition, if male weaponry size was associated with relative expected sperm competition intensity (SCI), and if estimated male mating success was correlated with pote ntial SCI. To qua ntify relative competitive envir on merits of males, we created and analyzed networks of potential competitors based on which males could have mated with the same females. We found that small galleries had higher potential for female multiple mating and higher potential for sperm competition. Size of male weaponry was not associated with expected relative SCI. Regardless of gallery size, males with more potential mates were expected to face lower expected relative sperm competition. Thus, in this system, variation in the size of available refuges is likely to in flue nee the pote ntial for sperm competiti on, in a way that we might expect to in crease variation in overall reproductive success.

This study investigates 92 countries of different legal origins,including 25 English origin,44 French origin,11 Scandinavian and German origin,and 12 socialist origin *** to other countries,China has the highest government ownership of banks,and lies in the middle in terms of official supervisory power over banks,and government efficiency in *** regards economic development measured by per capita GDp growth,in the period from 1995 to 2015,China performed significantly better than all the other countries in the sample–countries varying in legal origin,government ownership of banks,level of economic and financial development,supervisory power over banks,and government *** findings are robust when we examine the country-years with similar per capita GDp as that of *** regression results show that in some circumstances,higher government ownership of banks is associated with higher economic growth and the positive association is more significant in socialist origin *** discussions suggest that the high government involvement in commercial banks fits in well with the unique characteristics of China–such as a large population,underdeveloped economy,imbalance in resources and development in different areas,as well as the utmost trust placed on the Chinese government and government owned banks–thus may benefit economic growth.

AIM To test the validity of tumour thickness measurement in distinguishing between the different infiltration depths, especially when the duplication of muscularis mucosae cannot be demarcated clearly. METHODS We re-evaluated 100 completely embedded Barrett's adenocarcinomas regarding m-classification, maximum tumour thickness, and muscularis mucosae duplication. For validation, smoothelin staining was performed on a subset of cases. RESULTS The m1-, m2-and m3-classified adenocarcinomasshowed a significant lower tumour thickness compared to the m4-and sm1-classified lesions(p plication in 64% of the tested samples and enabled the differentiation of the two layers in diffuse and merged splits. CONCLUSION Tumour thickness in early oesophageal adenocarcinoma significantly correlates with the depth of infiltration and demonstrates its worth as an accurate p T classification in non-polypoid lesions. We created a new algorithm, which combines histomorphology with morphometric analyses. It is noteworthy that it facilitates the assessment of mucosal vs submucosal infiltration depth. The smoothelin staining strengthened our results of the tumour thickness evaluation and can be used in cases of doubt.
