In the competition among the great powers as well as Middle Eastern regional actors the Horn,especially with its background of the red Sea,has become the scene of two regional overlapping rivalries,namely between Saudi Arabia/the United Arab Emirates/Egypt and Qatar/Turkey on the one hand,and Saudi Arabia and Iran,on the *** Iran seems to be far from the Horn of Africa,its participation in the war in Yemen as well as its strategic position both along the land route and the maritime route of the Chinese Belt and road Initiative make it an unavoidable *** is operating on the Horn of Africa to extend its strategic depth,resist the pressure of rival powers and counterbalance their activi-ties,and increase its political and economic *** to other Gulf states,Tehran started its campaign relatively late,and Iran’s economic potential is more limited as *** lack of signif-icant Shi’a presence in East Africa is also an obstacle for ***,Iran is still a secondary actor on the Horn of Africa.

Ab initio study on the reaction or the ground state (a3F) and excited state (a1D) or La+with methane has been Performed. performed. channel on the singlet and triplet potential energysurface (PES) has been examined and the reaction mechanism are discussed. Comparisons betweensinglet and triplet PESs show that the ex￣ state (aiD) of La+ is more r￣ than its groundstate (a3F) due tO the SPin quantum number conservation with the more stable insertion intermediate for excited state (1D), which is in good agreement with the experiment.

Each neuronal subtype is distinct in how it develops,responds to environmental cues,and whether it is capable of mounting a regenerative response following *** the adult central nervous system（CNS） does not regenerate,several experimental interventions have been trialled with successful albeit limited instances of axonal *** highlight here some of these approaches including extracellular matrix（ECM） modification,cellular grafting,gene therapy-induced replacement of proteins,as well as application of *** also review the recent report demonstrating the failure of axonal localization and transport of growth-promoting receptors within certain classes of mature *** specifically,we discuss an inability of integrin receptors to localize within the axonal compartment of mature motor neurons such as in the corticospinal and rubrospinal tracts,whereas in immature neurons of those pathways and in mature sensory tracts such as in the optic nerve and dorsal column pathways these receptors readily localize within *** we assert that this failure of axonal localization contributes to the intrinsic inability of axonal *** conclude by highlighting the necessity for both combined therapies as well as a targeted approach specific to both age and neuronal subtype will be required to induce substantial CNS repair.

Laser–plasma interaction and hot electrons have been characterized in detail in laser irradiation conditions relevant for direct-drive inertial confinement *** experiment was carried out at the Gekko XII laser facility in multibeam planar target geometry at an intensity of approximately 3×10^(15)W/cm^(2).Experimental data suggest that high-energy electrons,with temperatures of 20–50 keV and conversion efficiencies ofηre mainly produced by the damping of electron plasma waves driven by two-plasmon decay(TPD).Stimulated raman scattering(SrS)is observed in a near-threshold growth regime,producing a reflectivity of approximately 0.01%,and is well described by an analytical model accounting for the convective growth in independent *** experiment reveals that both TPD and SrS are collectively driven by multiple beams,resulting in a more vigorous growth than that driven by single-beam laser intensity.

An efficient, reproducible and rapid fused silica capillary column gas chromatographic method, in splitless mode, for analysing of the three chloroanthracene isomers is described. The method affords efficient separation and good linearity for each isomer in the range of 0.2 -200 μg/ml. The method can also be used in separation and determination of another thirty three aromatic and their halosubstituted compounds. This paper also presents the applications of the method in analysing of complex products mixture from reaction of the selected aromatic compounds with hydrogen chloride on fly ash surface from municipal incinerator.

Optical and structural properties of highly porous shell structured Fe doped TiO_2 thin films

TiO2thin films with 0.2 wt%, 0.4 wt%, 0.6wt%, and 0.8 wt% Fe were prepared on glass and silicon substrates using sol–gel spin coating technique. The optical cut-off points are increasingly red-shifted and the absorption edge is shifted over the higher wavelength region with Fe content increasing. As Fe content increases, the optical band gap decreases from 3.03 to 2.48 eV whereas the tail width increases from 0.26 to 1.43 eV. The X-ray diffraction（XrD） patterns for doped films at 0.2 wt% and0.8 wt% Fe reveal no characteristic peaks, indicating that the film is amorphous whereas undoped TiO2exhibits（101） orientation with anatase phase. Thin films of higher Fe content exhibit a homogeneous, uniform, and nanostructured highly porous shell morphology.

To monitor the progression of lamivudine therapy by demonstrating HBV DNAs and rNAs in the serum of achronically infected patient. Viral nucleic acids were exracted from serum samples taken during a 14-week treatmentperiod and analyzed via competitive PCr and rT/PCr. The dynamic changes in the amount as well as in the structurescan monitor therapy process very well. Our study indicated the level of polyadenylated viral rNA can be a marker forexpression in general, and the appearance of replicative intermediates as a mirror of the mode of action of an antiviraldrug.
