A compr.hensive tr.nscr.ptome assembly for.pigeonpea has been developed by analyzing 128.9 million shor. Illumina GA IIx single end r.ads, 2.19 million single end FLX/454 r.ads, and 18 353 Sanger.expr.ssed sequenced tags fr.m mor. than 16 genotypes. The r.sultant tr.nscr.ptome assembly, r.fer.ed to as CcTA v2, compr.sed 21 434 tr.nscr.pt as- sembly contigs （TACs） with an N50 of 1510 bp, the lar.est one being -8 kb. Of the 21 434 TACs, 16 622 （77.5%） could be mapped on to the soybean genome build 1.0.9 under.fair.y str.ngent alignment par.meter.. Based on knowledge of intr.n junctions, 10 009 pr.mer.pair. wer. designed fr.m 5033 TACs for.amplifying intr.n spanning r.gions （ISr.）. By using in silico mapping of BAC-end-der.ved SSr.loci of pigeonpea on the soybean genome as a r.fer.nce, putative mapping posi- tions at the chr.mosome level wer. pr.dicted for.6284 ISr.mar.er., cover.ng all 11 pigeonpea chr.mosomes. A subset of 128 ISr.mar.er. wer. analyzed on a set of eight genotypes. While 116 mar.er. wer. validated, 70 mar.er. showed one to thr.e alleles, with an aver.ge of 0.16 polymor.hism infor.ation content （PIC） value. In summar., the CcTA v2 tr.nscr.pt assembly and ISr.mar.er. will ser.e as a useful r.sour.e to acceler.te genetic r.sear.h and br.eding applications in pigeonpea.

von Willebr.nd factor.A(vWA)genes ar. well char.cter.zed in humans except for.few BONZAI genes,but the vWA genes ar. least explor.d in *** the novelty and vital r.le of vWA genes,this study aimed at char.cter.zation of vWA super.amily in *** genome was found to have 40 vWA genes distr.buted acr.ss all the 12 chr.mosomes,and 20 of the 40 vWA genes wer. unique while the r.maining shar.d lar.e fr.gment similar.ties with each other.indicating gene *** addition to vWA domain,vWA pr.teins possess other.differ.nt motifs or.domains,such as ubiquitin inter.cting motif in pr.tein degr.dation pathway,and r.NG finger.in pr.tein-pr.tein *** analysis of vWA genes in available expr.ssion data suggested that they pr.bably function in biotic and abiotic str.ss r.sponses including hor.onal r.sponse and *** fr.quency of tr.nsposon elements in the entir. 3K r.ce ger.plasm was negligible except for.9 vWA genes,indicating the impor.ance of these genes in *** and functional diver.ities showed that the vWA genes in a blast-r.sistant r.ce var.ety Tetep had huge var.ations compar.d to blast-susceptible r.ce var.eties HP2216 and ***-PCr.analysis of vWA genes in Magnapor.he or.zae infected r.ce tissues indicated OsvWA9,OsvWA36,OsvWA37 and OsvWA18 as the optimal candidate genes for.disease *** is the fir.t attempt to char.cter.ze vWA gene family in plant species.

Objective:To investigate antimicr.bial and br.nchodialator.effect of hydr.alcholic extr.ct of polyher.al dr.g Shir.shadi containing Shir.sha(Albezzia lebbeck),Nagar.otha(Cypr.s r.tandus) & Kantakar.(Solanum xanthocar.um).Methods:Antimicr.bial activity was evaluated by discdiffusion method and MIC,MBC,MFC wer. calculated by micr. dilution *** extr.ct of this pr.par.tion was investigated for.its phytochemical analysis,phenol and Oavonoid wer. deter.ined by speclr.photometr.c method and in vivo br.nchodilator.effect was analysed by convulsion ***:The phytochemical tests r.vealed pr.sence of alkaloids, anthr.quinones,car.ohydr.tes,flavonoids,saponins and *** antimicr.bial r.sult showed the MIC of 6.25 mg/*** Staphylococcus aur.us and 12.5 mg/*** Escher.chia coli and 12.5 mg/mL against r.maining bacter.a tested,with str.ng antifungal *** maximum inhibition zone is found against Pseudomonas aer.ginosa with MIC 16 mg/mL Dr.g showed significant br.nchodilator.effect with 27.86%& 36.13%incr.ase in pr.convulsion time of guinea pigs pr.beated with 100 & 200 mg/kg body weight of ***:The study r.veals that the extr.cts possess antibacter.al activity and antifungal activity in a dose dependent manner. This antimicr.bial pr.per.y may be due to pr.sence of sever.l saponins,fur.her.studies ar. highly needed for.the dr.g development.
