Annihilation of Antiprotons in Light Nuclei

CR-39 detectors have been exposed to a 5.9-MeV antiproton beam using the low energy antiproton ring （LEAR） facility at CERN. At this energy, tracks of antiprotons appear in a CR-39 detector after 135 rain of etching in 6M NaOH at 70℃. Fluence of the antiproton beam has been determined using track density. We have also found tracks in the etched CR-39 detector at different depths （250-500μm）. These tracks have resulted from the annihilation of antiprotons with the constituents （H, C and O） of the CR-39 detector. The goal of the experiment is to develop a simple and low-cost method to study properties of antiparticles and those formed after annihilation of these particles with the target matter.

In the field of sentiment analysis,extracting aspects or opinion targets fromuser reviews about a product is a key *** the polarity of an opinion is much more useful if we also know the targeted Aspect or *** based approaches,like dependency-based rules,are quite popular and effective for this ***,they are heavily dependent on the authenticity of the employed parts-of-speech(POs)tagger and dependency *** popular rule based approach is to use sequential rules,wherein the rules formulated by learning from the user’s ***,in general,the sequential rule-based approaches have poor generalization ***,existing approaches mostly consider an aspect as a noun or noun phrase,so these approaches are unable to extract verb *** this article,we have proposed a multi-layered rule-based(ML-RB)technique using the syntactic dependency parser based rules along with some selective sequential rules in separate layers to extract noun ***,after rigorous analysis,we have also constructed rules for the extraction of verb *** verb rules primarily based on the association between verb and opinion *** proposed multi-layer technique compensates for the weaknesses of individual layers and yields improved results on two publicly available customer review *** F1 score for both the datasets are 0.90 and 0.88,respectively,which are better than existing *** improved results can be attributed to the application of sequential/syntactic rules in a layered manner as well as the capability to extract both noun and verb aspects.

Photocatalytic water splitting is an economical and sustainable pathway to use solar energy for large‐scale *** report a highly efficient noble‐metal‐free photocatalyst formed by integrating amorphous Nis with a Cds nanorods(NRs)/Zns heterojunction material for photocatalytic H2production in water under visible light irradiation(?>420nm).The results show that the photocatalytic H2production rate reaches an optimal value of up to574μmol·h–1after the loading of Nis,which is more than38times higher than the catalytic activity of pure Cds *** average apparent quantum yield is^43.2%during5h of irradiation by monochromatic420nm *** present study demonstrates the advantage of integration strategies to form not only semiconductor heterojunctions but also photocatalyst‐cocatalyst interfaces to enhance the catalytic activity for photocatalytic H2production.

seventy years after the end of World War II （WWll）, many people outside China remain uninformed about the countr＇s role in the conflict and the sacrifices its people made in resistingJapanese invaders. Redressing this imbalance in overseas academia, however, are a small number of scholars, including rana Mitter, a British historian whose Forgotten Ally China＇s World War II, 1937-1945 made its way onto bookshelves across the globe in 2013. The book has so far been met with favorable reception. Here, Beijing Review solicits the opinions of Pan Hon~ Editor in Chief of Military History magazine published by the Academy of Military science of the Chinese People＇s Liberation Army, on the book.

The present paper describes the development and applications of nuclear track detection technique in Pakistan. Pakistan entered in the field of nuclear tracks in early 1970s when it was still quite new. Highlights of successes of different Pakistani laboratories, working on nuclear tracks, achieved on their own or in collaboration with similar centers in the world are described briefly. The robust features of this investigation are the comprehensive investigation of the addressed research, analysis and review of results, and discussions with the perspectives of applications and new research directions. Further analysis of the published results by the present author and some new results are also presented. This paper portrays a comprehensive picture of the nuclear track detection research and technology in Pakistan and can be useful for a similar development in any country around the globe.

Yttrium and cerium co-doped ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized by combustion route and characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(sEM),Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDs),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPs),UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(UV-vis DRs),photoluminescence(PL)and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIs)*** introduction of yttrium ions has efficiently increased the relative percentage of Ce^(3+)ions in *** and cerium co-doped ZnO shows efficient photo activity for hydrogen evolution(10.61 mmol/((g·h))higher than previously reported optimal value for rare earth codoped ZnO *** remarkably increased hydrogen evolution can be ascribed to the synergy between electronic anchoring effect of Y^(3+)/Y^(2+)and Ce^(4+)/Ce^(3+)redox *** report presents new idea for the synthesis of efficient photocatalyst using economical route and ion anchoring *** hydrogen evolution was also tested using Na_(2)s and Na_(2)sO_(3)as electron donors under visible light *** synthesized photocatalysts also exhibit high stability.

Purpose:To assess the effectiveness of two-stage treatment with the fibular sliding technique in chronic infected nonunion of the ***:The study included patients who were diagnosed with long-term chronic infected tibial nonunion following trauma and treated with the two-stage technique between January 2010 and November *** with(1)intra-articular fractures of the distal third of the tibia and fibula,(2)pathological fracture resulting in bone loss or(3)neurological and vascular pathologies of the limbs were *** operation consisted of two stages and the main goal in the first stage was to control the infection and in the second stage to control the healing of the ***&radiographic results and complications were evaluated according to Paley's ***:The patients comprised 14 males and 5 females with a mean age of 37.4 years(range,21-52 years).Patients were followed up for an average of 27 months(range,15-38 months).The microorganisms produced from these patients were staphylococcus aureus in 13 patients,Pseudomonas aeruginosa in 4 patients and no bacteria in 2 *** the first stage operation,superficial skin necrosis developed in 1 *** another patient,there was a persistent infection,although union was *** the entire patient group,union was observed at the end of 7.44 months(range,7-11 months).Based on Paley's criteria,there were 16(84.2%)patients with excellent scores,2(10.5%)good scores and 1(5.3%)fair scores radiologically;while regarding the tibial function,15(78.9%)patients had excellent scores,3(15.8%)good scores,and 1(5.3%)fair *** patients had poor radiological or functional ***:Two-stage treatment can be considered as an alternative for fractures in regions that are susceptible to many and persistent complications,such as the *** technique has the advantages of short operation time,minimal blood loss,no excessive tissue damage and not very technique-demanding(a

Growing competition in the software industry with the persistently changing needs and the usual?problems associated with software release, which have made acceptance of a new software in?market, are extremely important for the success. Volatility in the software developmental processes is generally difficult to handle. The change request at any arbitrary point of time leads to the inevitable change and rework request. The software release process which broadly includes all the process that starts after the completion of development till the final deployment. This complete phase is exposed to various risks which may hamper the final result. An uninterruptible power supply (UPs) is a power conditioner that provides emergency power to a load when the supply power fails. In on-line UPs, the load is always connected to the inverter through the UPs static switch. specialized expertise was required for collection, analysis, and dissemination of technical information relating to high quality uninterruptible power systems. Inherent in these responsibilities is the coordination of technical and contractual matters relating to the procurement and installation of uninterruptible power supply (UPs) systems which were required to support these facilities. The proposed circuit incorporates an AC/DC & DC & AC converter, which provided power factor correction and to assure feedback control. In our project when the AC main is available, the rectifier circuit will supply the power to the inverter as well as to the battery and battery will be charged. If the supply power fails suddenly, the battery will supply power to the inverter without any interruption and delay. In the constant current charging technique, a digital charger was designed and controlled through PIC12F675 microcontroller. In the realized system, The PIC16C73B was used as microcontroller. It was used to generate sinusoidal PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signals that are connected to drive n-channel MOsFETs in inverter to assure feedback control and display units. The power circuit of the proposed UPs system was presented and analyzed. Circuit models were derived and a UPs digital control system using a digital signal processing (DsP) with microcontroller has been developed. The uninterruptible Power supplies (UPs) are widely used by power supply during interruption of regular power supply due to load shedding, power failure, power fluctuations including telecommunication systems, medical systems, industrial control systems etc.
