Objectives Transcatheter valve-in-valve (VIV) implantation for failed bioprostheses has become an alternative to open surgery in those deemed high *** purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness and outcomes of this emerging *** Fourty VIV procedures were performed in 38 consecutive patients (mean age 70 ± 14 years and mean Logistic EuroScore 23.6 ± 15.5%)with severe aortic (n = 19) or mitral (n = 21) bioprosthetic valve dysfunction between 2014 and *** failure was secondary to stenosis in 11 (27.5%),regurgitation in 19 (47.5%),and combined in 10 (25.0%) ***,echocardiographic,and procedural profiles were characterized,and the short-term results of the study patients were *** Successful transfemoral (n = 15),trans-subclavian (n = 1),or transapical (n = 3) aortic VIV using either balloon-expandable valves (Edwards Sapien XT,n = 7) or self-expandable valves (Medtronic Core Valve,n = 12);and transapical (n = 21) mitral VIV using either Edwards Sapien XT (n = 15) or mechanically expandable valves (Boston Scientific Lotus,n = 6) were accomplished in all 40 VIV *** was successful with immediate restoration of satisfactory valve function in all *** patients (13.2%) died at a median follow up of 9.3 *** of the 33 patients alive were in good functional status with good prosthetic valve *** Transcatheter VIV implantation is a feasible and safe option for the management of bioprosthetic valve *** may offer a less invasive alternative for those high-risk patients needing repeat valve replacement.

To address data scarcity on long-term glacial discharge and inadequacies in simulating and predicting hydrological processes in the tien Shan,this study analysed the observed discharge at multiple timescales over 1980se2017 and projected changes within a representative glacierized high-mountain region:eastern tien Shan,Central *** processes were simulated to predict changes under four future scenarios(SSP1,SSP2,SSP3,and SSP5)using a classical hydrological model coupled with a glacier dynamics *** rates at annual,monthly(June,July,August)and daily timescales were obtained from two hydrological gauges:Urumqi Glacier No.1 hydrological station(UGH)and Zongkong station(ZK).Overall,annual and summer discharge increased significantly(pping point in annual discharge at UGH may occur between 2018 and 2024 under the four SSPs *** discharge is predicted to cease earlier at ZK than at *** relates to glacier type and size,suggesting basins with heavily developed small glaciers will reach peak discharge sooner,resulting in an earlier freshwater supply *** findings serve as a reference for research into glacial runoff in Central Asia and provide a decision-making basis for planning local water-resource projects.

Using Informative Score for Instance Selection Strategy in Semi-Supervised Sentiment Classification

Sentiment classification is a useful tool to classify reviews about sentiments and attitudes towards a product or *** studies heavily rely on sentiment classification methods that require fully annotated ***,there is limited labelled text available,making the acquirement process of the fully annotated input costly and ***,semi-supervised methods emerge as they require only partially labelled input but perform comparably to supervised ***,some works reported that the performance of the semi-supervised model degraded after adding unlabelled instances into *** also shows that not all unlabelled instances are equally useful;thus identifying the informative unlabelled instances is beneficial in training a semi-supervised *** achieve this,an informative score is proposed and incorporated into semisupervised sentiment *** evaluation is performed on a semisupervised method without an informative score and with an informative *** using the informative score in the instance selection strategy to identify informative unlabelled instances,semi-supervised models perform better compared to models that do not incorporate informative scores into their *** the performance of semi-supervised models incorporated with an informative score is not able to surpass the supervised models,the results are still found promising as the differences in performance are subtle with a small difference of 2%to 5%,but the number of labelled instances used is greatly reduced from100%to 40%.The best finding of the proposed instance selection strategy is achieved when incorporating an informative score with a baseline confidence score at a 0.5:0.5 ratio using only 40%labelled data.

A precious analytical model for N-member radionuclide decay chains has been extended to include the ef- fect of radionuclide sorption with groundwater *** distribution coefficients were employed in the nu- clide decay chain to illustrate the present *** colloid concentration was assumed constant in time and space owing to equilibrium between colloid generation and sedimentation by chemical and/or physical ***- thermore,the diffusion of colloids into the rock matrix was ignored because the diameter of colloid is relatively large and colloids and fracture surfaces are *** results indicated that colloids could facilitate the transport of radionuclides and the large adsorbability of nuclides with colloids enlarged the effect of acceleration by *** influence of colloids on the radionuclide transport was expected to be crucial to the actinides with large adsorbability; however,the present results revealed that the low-adsorbing nuclides whose parent nuclides have large capability of sorption could be also facilitated significantly by colloids ***,the role of colloids played in the transport of the radionuclides decay chain should be assessed carefully in the radioactive waste *** analyti- cal method presented herein is helpful to verify/validate further complex far-field models.

Endometriosis coexisting with a dermoid cyst of the ovary is extraordinarily rare, although these both benign conditions are said to be common in women in the reproductive age group. There are only two previous case reports, which is evident from our literature review from January 1960 through January 2010. Acute abdomen is one of the greatest diagnostic challenges and easily ignored by the clinicians to exclude the possibility of gynecologic illness. A 35-year-old woman was referred by the doctor in Family clinic. She experienced a three-day period of severe right lower abdominal pain and intermittent vomiting. Ultrasonography identified a bilocular, cystic, hypoechoic, and hyperechoic tumor, 7 cm×6 cm×6 cm in the right adnexal region. Laparoscopic cystectomy was performed under the impression of ovarian cyst with torsion or hemorrhage. The frozen section was benign and appendiceal status was adequate. Histopathologic examination described an ovarian cyst composed of endometrial-type lining with stroma cells （endometriosis） and benign terotoma tissue with plenty of skin appendages and sebaceous glands. We report this unusual and interesting ovarian mass to remind physicians that the usage of the Endobag after cystectomy, the benefits on minimizing operative time, spilled opportunity, and postoperative complications. Laparoscopic techniques for large ovarian masses might be considered. The experience of the surgeon is also very important to prevent misdiagnosis or complication. Further follow up is mandatory for this simultaneous finding of ovarian endometriosis with coincidental dermoid cyst as a separate pathology in single ovary of such a nature. It also presents a challenge to the clinicians and to the pathologists.

In this study we have used a combinatorial approach for producing binary and ternary alloy thin film libraries using a lab-scale RF co-sputtering system. Initially we used two elemental sputtering targets, i.e. aluminum (Al) target and neodymium (Nd) target, to produce a film library of varying composition and successfully identified a suitable composition range (1.95―2.38 at% Nd) in which resistance to hillock formation and resistivity of the film spots were found to be satisfactory in annealed state (350℃, 30 min). In another case, in order to form ternary alloy composition library we have used two sputtering targets, i.e. an Al-0.5 at% Nd alloy target and an elemental Ni target. Though, co-sputtered Al-0.6 at% Nd-0.9 at% Ni alloy films showed satisfactory resistance to hillock formation and low resistivity after annealing, film deposited from a ternary alloy target with the same composition failed to show satis- factory resistance to hillock formation during annealing. In case of Al-0.6 at% Nd-0.9 at% Ni alloy target, 250 nm thick film showed poor resistance to hillock formation than the 500 nm thick film. This clearly showed thickness-dependent hillock performance of Al-0.6 at% Nd-0.9 at% Ni alloy. In this study it was found that, in addition to the process variables, metallurgical microstructure of the alloy sputtering targets had significant effect on the film properties which was not obvious from the results of films deposited using co-sputtering of the individual elemental targets.
